  1. Yet another thread that names and shames, which is against TOS. The heavy handed dimwit Bioware mods will punish you for this, not the hacker.

     

    Because they're morons, that's why. This post is a nail, they only know how to use hammers. Banning the speed hacker or fixing the game would require more intelligence and thought than anyone at Bioware is capable of.

     

    The devs come in here and talk a mean game about lol win trading, and arena trolling. But people still queue without advanced classss. Alex Modny comes in and tells a stupid joke, which is insulting in light of their recent 'tough talk' that came to very little. We can conclude that they won't even bother doing anything about blatant speed hackers month after month.

     

    Read Bioware, there's a lot of legitimate criticism laced in the anger and insults.

  2. Ehyo guys I have problem with buying ranked gear.

    I have the ranked wz commendations needed and the unranked piece of gear too but the message "You can't afford this item" pops up on everything

    Anyone knows why?

     

    You have to have the exhumed shell (no mods) in your inventory to exchange for it.

     

    So if you're buying a 'dark reaver eliminator pistol' you need to trade in the old 'exhumed eliminator pistol'.

  4. The heck? Hib doesn't hit hard enough anymore for us to be competitive without Energy Burst. You would have to give PTs a truly insane defensive buff to compenstate for a nerf of that magnitude.

     

    And really we don't need anymore DPS classes running around with insane defensives, regardless of what their burst looks like. Seriously it's bad enough dealing with Juggernauts that facetank everything and still live.

     

    Guardians also can't put out nearly the kind of burst we do. If an AP knows how to play, they can kite and out burst even ED and take one out.

     

    I'm just saying, if you cut cell burst in half or further, and let kolto heal to f

    80% instead of 40%. We would be ranked viable.

  5. Why? any observed burst you think we have is based on PVE dummies and isnt applicable when kiting are rear off to survive. I didnt see Mara give up anything to get thier recent buffs.. nor Juggs... why should we?

     

    It's hard to argue with this, ^^^ because I feel you, right here.

     

    However fact is if we are left completely alone we can both global people. We would become the new hatred sins.

  6. As a person that play both, i think this is a silly statement. PT has so much baked in mitigation and can take significantly more damage than my merc can.

    No it isnt life altering, but if i had to choose between passive mitigation that doesnt require me to waste GCDs or heals that do... i know which i would choose if they both had about the same benefit at the end of the day.

    It may not be the same math i havent actually done the math, but i do know i live a lot longer under focus on the AP PT, than i do the Ars Merc.

     

    Your decoy/flare is light years ahead of the defense on sonic missile.

    We have the same shields and kolto overload.

    My overrides last longer and move faster than yours.

    You can take the utility to take less damage stunned.

    You can heal, we get a small 'close and personal' bonus.

     

    Math says it's about the same, maybe a little in my favor because I can run around like I'm on crack and LOS.

    Either way it's not a dramatic difference, and neither of us should get more defense without losing damage - a lot of it.

  7. They changed the ability in the recent patch.

     

    Low Slash is no longer repeatedly activated after its initial use.

     

    I have to give them grudging credit on the quick turnaround.

     

    Usually any PVP issue takes weeks or months to be addressed.

     

    Why am I so negative? We have some short memories here for the classics:

    Clicky relics applying many times?

    People jumping over the voidstar shuttle and capping door 1 before the start timer.

    People jumping up to giradda the hutt in arena matches.

    People glitching into bunker walls in novare coast and capping.

    Naked Bolster - my God that was so funny.

    Starship mods bolstering Ground PVP stats

    Broken mid bracket bolster, 55-59 characters un-killable - we got this for four months!

    5v4 ranked warzones - oops that still happens!

    Makeb ranked arenas stuttering and warp lagging - not fixed!

     

    So yeah, I'll say nice job this ONE time. You'll excuse me if Bioware doesn't get a long elaborate written apology.

    Fact is though, both merc and PT will need to give up a lot of burst for any kind of serious defense.

     

    Otherwise our classes would be stupid.

  9. Giving this ability a 30m range was a terrible idea. If Deception is having being a problem with sticking to opponents they should have gave them a utility to increase the range of discharge/ball lightning by 5m. Or increased the range of Force Slow. Or changed Force Slow to a root in the tree.

     

    They needed an anti kiting tool. Period. Or you can't play it.

     

    I don't think 30m low slash with a 30 second CD and a five second mez (well, 4 + 1s root) is bad at all.

     

    We need MORE ranked viable specs rather than fewer ones. They probably should have worked on one of the classes with ZERO ranked viable specs (sniper) first, but here we are.

  10. I'm going to start a petition to get rid of everything 3.1.2 did because the game is worse than ever now, Juggs are impossible to kill, sages can't kill anything, Assasins are still OP, and how the hell did they let that low slash glitch even make it into the game???

     

    Jugg tanks with a healer can take on as many as three DPS in arenas.

     

    It's asinine. PT tanks can't do that.

  11. It's been pointed out numerous times that this didn't occur on PTS.

     

    As for being OP, I disagree. Mezzes are practically useless outside of 1v1 because of the sheer amount of aoe and dots flying around. I do agree that the cooldown should be upped just a bit, but there's nothing OP about this ability, and, quite frankly, it is needed.

     

    Maybe in regs. In ranked you can effectively keep a target controlled for 10 out of 15 seconds without white barring them at 30 meters. That's spending a third of the time bent over.

     

    Before you could avoid it by positioning better (out of low slash range).

     

    Now? It's too much. Increase the CD on it to 20-25 seconds.

  12. I call BS because I pvp'd most of the night last night on Bastion and hardly saw any Infiltration Shadows.

     

    And yes, it is funny, only because it further infuriates you and the rest of the troll train that have been pouring rivers of tears about Infil/Dec getting an anti kiting tool.

     

    First off you're lucky to be on Bast.

     

    Second off, I don't care that they got an anti kiting tool, but the cooldown is a little low at 15 seconds for a 30 meter ability. It should have been 20 or 30 seconds, it's potent.

    Look at this Shadow... It's ****ed up! You made your PVP game unplayable!

    AP Powertech damage is ridiculous over the top and they die in three seconds in a ranked game.

    Sniper doesn't have a single solo ranked viable spec.

    Hatred sins are still CC immune most of the time and ridiculously overpowered.

    Mid rank PVP was broken for four months.

    Juggernauts were given MORE ED survivability, Meanwhile Marauders are are *********** useless.

    You decided to give all jugg specs CC immunity?

    30 meter low slash is a surprise?! I have one for you too.

  15. So yeah, just finished a game against 4 infiltration Shadows on my deception sin (only sin on my team, naturally) to try out the new leg slash, but instead it got tried out on me roughly 527 times throughout probably the most miserable wz I've had since I can remember.

     

    wtt derpstorm for this 30m legslash spam.

     

    Literally could not do anything.

     

    3.1.2; rise of the derpslash. Enjoy.

     

    I didn't have it that bad, but it was pretty terrible.

     

    PVP is unplayable at this point.

    Which (in his eyes) makes it perfectly acceptable, which it isn't.

     

    The mez isn't the problem so much as the long range and nonexistent CD.

  17. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. Sin having at least one 30m damaging ability is fine, but I don't think an additional 30m mezz was the way to go.

     

    The cooldown should be longer, the mez shorter (2 seconds), the range shorter, or change the mez to a root.

I agree that the op's whine is ironic (lol you're a sorc!). but nothing in this game melts me more quickly or more silently than a PT. impossible to kite. phenomenal range and speed and burst. weak dcds fo-sho. the AC is just in a frustrating place atm. one spec is absolute garbage. another spec has too much burst. both specs are relatively frail. I thought pyro was in a perfect place in late 2.x. the dcds weren't much different, but the rest of the game's dps wasn't up across the board either. now. gawd. is any of this fun for AP or plasmatech?

     

    I hear the whole 'too much range!' too often lately.

     

    There are two 30m abilities: rail shot-HIB and thermal det-plastique. (You're not really using explosive dart rotationally are you?)

     

    That leaves MB at 10 meters, 15 if you take the utility, and many don't. This counts as mid range?

     

    The rest are melee range (10 meters or less) RB, RP, CB, Carbonize, SC, etc.
