  1. The lack of content isn't new, it has been this way since at least a 2 years. Ops content cadence has been screwed up ever since DF / DP has been released. You are looking at the game wrong. This game is no longer an MMO. Its basically a SRPG with optional group content and monthly DLCs. Each DLC costs 15 USD, you get a discount if you buy the DLCs together. That is the revenue model BW has chosen, and hence you find all these *subscriber rewards* designed to make to forego the discount. Now, given this model, why are you still subscribed to the game? You can do everything the game has without a sub (except ranked PvP). You need a couple of unlocks and a small supply of ops passes. For 15 USD dlcs, I would expect a hell lot more of content that what BW is providing in their chapters.
  2. Well, the posted workaround worked. I cancelled my subscription, and now I am subscribed in-game!
  3. Hi I am posting this here since the customer service forum is read only. I purchased a monthly sub and the credit card was charged about 18 hours back. When I log into swtor it however shows my status as preferred. I emailed support@swtor.com, but no one has replied. I understand the preferred way of resolving these issues is calling up swtor support, but they don't have a local no. for my country and I am not wasting money calling international. Is there a way I can leave a callback request with SWTOR Support so they can call me instead?
  4. Blue kills the sphere at the start. Try putting your highest DPS on blue. Rest of the guys kill their spheres at the end of their phase. You might keep the orange and the purple spheres for the end of the first purple phase. Since you are repeating that phase, you can take your time I do not recommend failing the yellow phase. The yellow guys can easily kill their sphere after the boss has spawned. We do core -> Regulator and then sphere. There is enough time. Also, ask your tanks to stand with their back to the pillars and interrupt the cast.
  5. I outlevel a planet even while playing during normal days, even while avoiding rested XP. So as per your logic I should stop playing the game completely.
  6. Why do you want to waste your limited playtime actually playing the game ? For people with very limited playtime, BW should record all the gameplay, ops, etc and sell it on the Cartel Market so that you can experience the whole game without actually playing the game !
  7. You can always sell good Pazaak cards in the Cartel Market. You can even implement a gambling system for these cards (like the dye one). I actually find this idea perversely intriguing. Basically, you first gamble with real money so that you can gamble with virtual money
  8. But I'll still be overlevelled during double XP weekends, and would still need the option to turn it off . You will love my infinite XP weekend idea then An item already exists which provides a 1.25x multiplier. How much dev time will it take to duplicate it and make the multiplier 0.75 ?
  9. Actually, having thought about it some more, I think killing 1 monster and getting enough XP to level to 55 is too fast. I propose toning it down slightly. We should get enough XP for 1 level each time we kill a monster. That way it will take 55 kills to get to L55, which I feel is much more balanced.
  10. Yes. That's why I would pay good Cartel Coin to buy a 25% XP debuff.
  11. Double XP weekends are nice, but still too slow to level. I want to kill 1 monster and get enough XP to level to L55. Bioware please implement an infinite XP weekend.
  12. My requirements are very simple. When I level, I want to do EVERY quest (I am a completist) and I want XP rewards for each of those quests. This means doing every daily / weekly / bonus series available to me. I try my best not to earn rested XP. May I have your brilliant common sense work-around on how I can avoid grey quests while still doing all quests ?
  13. Completely with you on this one. I have had to stop leveling my operative for the last 2 weekends, and now this weekend too. In fact, can we buy a 25% XP debuff for normal times ? I find it all too easy to overlevel content. Do a couple of FPs, FP dailies, WB Weeklies and you get a quest log full of White quests. And don't get me started on the Bonus series
  14. Which said the "Training Dummies" were being fixed, which isn't the case. Only the Warzone dummy got fixed.
  15. Well, crafting would be better. The game wouldn't be released with only 1 ops and no groupfinder. They might even have used a proper engine which supports more than 8 players without lag . Basically, the game would be more sandboxy. And KOTOR 3 would have been made by Obsidian, not BW, so I am sure no teams were pulled I don't remember WoW being positioned as Warcraft 3 sequel, but it was a loooong time back so I could be wrong . Even if that was the case, I would argue that the coupling between KOTOR and SWTOR is much stronger because of two facts. First of all, WoW is a RPG whereas Warcraft is a RTS. Different genres. Whereas in case of SWTOR both are RPGs. And secondly, lets face it, stories aren't the primary focus of Warcraft 3. Whereas KOTOR is so highly looked upon because of the story. Hence the story continuation matters much more in SWTOR.
  16. Oh well, I have submitted an in game /bug, but I would prefer a response on whether this fix is in the works or not.
  17. Except WoW was never positioned as Warcraft 4, while this game was clearly positioned as a KOTOR successor. And as any student of Marketing will tell you, positioning can make or break a product. You're missing the point. The point is that BW tried to shoehorn a single player game into an MMO. If they had made an MMO from the ground up in the KOTOR or Star Wars universe, while going ahead with KOTOR 3 separately, both the MMO and the SRPG would be in a better position. Actually it was. From Wikipedia: This is basically pre-production. Again from Wikipedia:
  18. Start of 2nd paragraph: We know the difference between a Single-player RPG and an MMORPG. But there were no options. KOTOR 3 was cancelled. So if you wanted to see the story of KOTOR, you had to buy this game. And Bioware positioned the game as a follow-up to KOTOR 2. Look up their "KOTOR 3 to 10" quote. It was not a "same universe unrelated games" like Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2. It is a direct sequel, more like Witcher 1 and 2. And you have to accept that Bioware tries to cater to the KOTOR fans in a significant way. Thats why Revan appears in the game, thats why you can get HK as a companion. In fact I feel that a huge portion of the initial subscriber loss was due to KOTOR fans finishing the game and moving on. In my view if BW had made this MMO in the KOTOR universe but not as a direct sequel to KOTOR 2 and allowed Obsidian to make KOTOR 3 this game would have been much more successful. It would have attracted the right type of players, MMO players who are interested in MMOs and not the SRPG players who just want to see the single player story and move on. The SRPG players are unsuited for MMO grind and repetitiveness. But BW tried to attract SRPG players and get them to subscribe to an MMO, which is something they have no interest in, and this game went downhill from there.
  19. Bioware's mistake was much more fundamental. They made a Star Wars MMO when what most of us wanted was KOTOR 3. I believe Obsidian even had KOTOR 3 in pre-production when it was cancelled. We (KOTOR fans) were promised KOTOR 3 to 10. Instead we got a game where Jedis are dime a dozen, where even a bounty hunter or a smuggler can kill a Jedi or a Sith and where the galaxy never changes irrespective of what you do. Instead of interesting characters like Kreia (best Star Wars character ever IMHO) or Jolee Bindo, we get bland companions like Lieutenant Iresso or Sergeant Rusk. Even the more interesting companions, like Lord Scrouge and Kira, two characters with immense potential to be developed, were horribly neglected (Kira was developed a bit, but soooo much more could have been done). This whole game is one huge wasted potential
  20. Well Amber used the phrase "Training Dummies", which I assume means both the ops and the pvp dummies will scale.
  21. Don't think is bug is fixed. The Operations Training Dummy on my L50 character's ship is still L55.
  22. Gratz guys... May we see DPS logs ? From the video it looked like Kelsara got killed by Saber Reflect, which would be slightly amusing
  23. Thank you for your insults. Yes, but Q1 was whether the set of expansions (call it X) is a subset of the set of updates (call it P) or not. When you are trying tell someone that set X is a subset of set P, you do not show it by describing the characteristics of set X. That's not a proof at all. Which is what you did, as you explain above. No mate you can't. If P is a superset of X (a proposition which you accept), then you cannot distinguish between P and X since any member included in X is also a member of P. At best you can distinguish between P - X and X, but you can always do that since those two sets are always disjoint. Apparently they don't teach kids basic Set Theory or Logic these days in schools Eh? Anything not listed out as difference is similar ? What is to say there are anything at all similar between them ? That is, why should I not assume that you believe P & X are disjoint at the start of your argument ?
