  1. I know, otherwise we wouldn't have armies of Sith. I've read the books. However if I were to be rolepaying as someone who practiced the rule fo two before Darth Bane went and thought-bombed the Dark Brotherhood, having an apprentice whilst training another is breaking that code... Which is why I don't group with other Sith. Just bounty hunters and agents, if anyone.
  2. This could be in both posts really, but being masters of the dark side of the force (read Sith Inquisitor class overview), should gives us the ability to turn our beloved little Togruta from Jedi into Sith. The framework is there, just as it was with Bastila for Malek, she can't truly go back to the Order. There could be a wholse sequence of chats involving reciting the Sith code to her whilse she's restrained and zapping her with lightning until she breaks. If a pipsqueak like Malek can do it, why can't we as we arguably eclipse anything that Malek was if we're level 50? Yes, I'm a guy. And certain females with certain ideological differences might think I'm being a sexist pig but I would have no qualms if a female Sith Inquisitor was able to do the same thing with a male companion. It's part of being Sith. The Emporer turned Anakin and tried to turn Luke... But Luke was the uberForce guy so that bit him in the ***, but we are in control. There's no gallant Jedi that's gonna try and save her (although that would make an interesting encounter - "What are you doing on my ship, little Jedi?" "Free Ashara, evil Sith brute!" "Oh, my stupid little Jedi fool. You've come too late, I'm afraid." *reveals Ashara dressed in Sith robes* "Ashara, kill him." "Yes...my master." Then you can marry her, or make her your second "unofficial" apprentice (rule of two doesn't apply to unofficial/secret apprentices apparently), or both.
  3. Granted the most common Sith colour is red and arguably the most common Jedi colour is blue, saying that you can't tell an enemy from a friend cos' a Sith is using a blue saber or a Jedi is using a red saber is simple laziness. A simple mouse over or a click on the person in question will give them away, as will them attacking you - that's a sure fire indication they're a bad guy. It's like saying those who carry AK-47s are bad but those who carry M16s are good, to put it in real world perspective. That statement, while probably true in some cases, doesn't reflect it's accuracy as a whole. Revan used a red and a purple lightsaber (from memory or did I make him do that in game!?) and other posters have given other examples. Just because you actually have to pay attention to what you may be up against when you're in PvP is not a valid reason to restrict a player's preferences for saber blade colours. If you want it to be easy, play PvE - Sith are ALWAYS red. From what I've seen anyway.
  4. I love Star Wars games. But more importantly, I love the KOTOR series. I still have KOTOR on PC hiding in my old games box. I have an unfortunately damaged copy of KOTOR2 for XBox. I still have hopes of repairing it. SWTOR is, by my standards, a great representation of the Star Wars franchise. However what disappoints me is that it is not KOTOR3. It could very easily be converted into a KOTOR3 but MMOs make more money in the long run due to ongoing subscriptions so I doubt we'll see a KOTOR3 for sale any time soon. So, I was wondering, how hard would it be to make an option for an offline mode? You'd have to solo everything (with your NPC companions) so PvP and Group/Heroic 4 missions would be disabled but with the right gear, Heroic 2s are soloable (or waiting until you're a few, or more than a few, levels above what is required). Offline characters would have to be non-transferrable otherwise that would be unfair. And Legacy also makes offline play interesting - perhaps, you could even call in one of your characters under NPC control as an "extra companion". From BioWare's point of view, is an offline mode even possible? From the general public's point of view, what are your thoughts on this? It doesn't replace the MMO, just allows you to play the game for those times when you're not near an internet connection or don't feel like putting up with the resident server troll (or Rancors, as I term them - giving them a Star Wars spin) that has appalling spelling (Looking at you Fly ) but doesn't give you any advantages over online players as your characters aren't transferrable from offline to online and vice-versa. Those are my thoughts, now I wish to hear yours. Who knows, maybe we can still play TOR when the servers go down for maintenance instead of slinking back to WoW or LOTRO...
