Yeah, just read the press release which essentially amounts to, "Dark Horse did very well with the license, publishing many successful series over the past 20 years, but we are giving it to Marvel because they did a single series back in the 80's of which only the first issue sold well". I just hope Dark Horse is able to finish the Dark Times, Dawn of the Jedi & Legacy II (Anya Solo) series, as I am really enjoying those. Not sure what will become of series like Invasion & Lost Tribe as the last issues of those, while not cliffhangers, were pretty open ended. I wonder if Marvel will retcon Mara Jade like they did Mary Jane.

You seem to have misunderstood, CrazyMcGee said "I'm in APAC" not "I'm playing on the APAC servers" (that no longer exist). APAC stands for Asia-Pacific or Asia Pacific (abbreviated as Asia-Pac, AsPac, APAC, APJ, JAPA or JAPAC) which is the part of the world in or near the Western Pacific Ocean. The region varies in size depending on context, but it typically includes much of East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. I hope this clarifies things.

Yeah, I had the exact same problem. It seems to stop working after a certain amount of time, probably to prevent us from using it that way (i.e. as a Preferred player). Was even more irritating for me, as I have an ISP that only has rotating IPs so I had to log in to my email, for the "One Time Password" nonsense every time I logged in to the game.

As far as I can tell, its neither. It sounds more like EVE's PLEX than anything in SWTOR.

I just finished reading the novel Crucible. It was great seeing the Big Three back in action. Though the story was interesting, just like Han, I am somewhat confused as to what the Base Prime Monolith was. Was it Mortis, or something else? And if it wasn't Mortis then what was it, & who built it. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. It was interesting reading about Columi, as I had not seen them in anything I have read previously. I would love to see them in SWTOR. Also, I wonder if we'll be seeing the Nargons again, or if they were all wiped out. I was surprised to see Vestara on her own again, as I though she had joined Darth Krayt's crew. Was a bit disappointed they didn't mention what the Lost Tribe has been up to, unless they are planning on using them in the upcoming movies. I'm beginning to to wonder if they'll ever explain how the Fel Empire starts up, since Jagged does not seem to have any interest in going back to the Empire, let alone ruling it.

Even better is the system Rift uses. You can purchase a consumable called REX for 10$ that when used grants you 1250 Rift Store Credits (like our Cartel Coins). These items can be freely traded between players, or sold on the auction house. To complement that, the Rift store has three Patron passes, that grant subscriber access for 3, 15 & 30 days. The 30 day pass requires roughly 2 REX, so directly subbing is cheaper. Thus not only are F2P players able to purchase sub time, like the system you described, but Trion makes more money on it. Another advantage of a system like this, if implemented here, is that it would allow Bioware to make money on F2P players, if they could purchase things directly with Cartel Coins. I know the current system allows a lot of Cartel Market items to be traded, but there are things that directly need Cartel Coins, like certain legacy unlocks, the appearance customizer, & unlocking things in collections. A system like this would not only give F2P players access to those things, but would also allow Bioware to make money on them using said things.

I am from India, also a part of the APAC region. Before this I have played WoW, EQII, LOTRO & STO. On a good day my ping, (in any game) is about 200-250. On a bad day it is 400+. I created chars on Dalborra initially because it was closest to my timezone so I thought I would encounter more players for group content. I later created characters on the Shadowlands because of all the positive things I read about it on TORWars. To my surprise the population there during off-peak hours (when I played) was pretty much the same as the population on Dalborra during supposedly peak hours. On some days it was actually better. For the first time I was actually able to do the heroic missions while leveling as there were players to do them with on the leveling planets (On Dalborra those are pretty much empty, at least when I play) . Not only that but the economy was many time better than that of Dalborra. My ping on both is exactly the same, about 200. This has not hampered me in any way. I have on various chars, done WZ's as well as tanked & healed FP's with no problem. So as the OP said, there are players in the APAC region for whom this is a purely positive change. My only gripe in fact is that I will not be given the choice to move to the Shadowlands as I already have chars there.

After seeing the seating arrangements of the briefing room, and the number of jump-seats near the boarding ramp it seems that the ship is designed to transport a lot more troops than just one squad. Even the holo-terminal seems to be the same one that, in the clone wars tv series, is used on Acclamator class assault carriers. So I just wanted to know, is there any mission where you actually make use of all this space?

Indeed, and imo an empire under Plagueis would have been far better, somewhat similar to the Fel Empire centuries later. The justice system would be harsh but fair. There would be no anti-alien bias. Although he would still have probably wiped out the jedi. Actually Naboo is a mid rim world & before the events of the novel it was just a backwater planet that no one had heard of. It did not even have a proper spaceport. But more importantly Palpatine was able to conceal his powers from even Plagueis who was at the time one of the few people in the galaxy who could tell directly if a person was force sensitive or not (the jedi of the time relied on a blood test). I don't mean it wasn't epic enough. Both Luke and Anakin had difficult childhoods, & faced hardships growing up. Something many people can relate to. They weren't spoiled, pampered brats. That is my point.

He was just a spoiled little rich kid with daddy issues. His biggest hardships growing up were bouncing from prep school to prep school (he kept getting himself expelled) & covering up whenever he ran over some civilian in his sports-car (which he seemed to keep doing). He turns to the dark side to 'get back at daddy' then proceeds to slaughter his entire family 'just because'. Pretty lame for the 'greatest sith lord of all time' imo.

You get a +100 Presence bonus for your first Human lvl 50 char, & +10 for every companion who's quests you finish. Other than that I'm not sure what you mean.
