  1. As the title says. I've spent a lot of time customizing my companion's look. During fighting and on world cutscenes, the outift seems to be correct, but anytime I have to visit my ship's holoterminal to talk to Baras or some other story character, they are back to the default coloring.
  2. yeah man! good to see you too. haven't seen you since the Acklay days. Anyway, this utility is beyond broken. Chop Block's (lol) suggestions are good.
  3. Oh, I know it's been gone over and over in the jugg/guardian section. That's why I didn't go into detail here. They know as well. I just figured it was time to involve the official bug section again.
  4. Battlefield Command/Warmonger utility is still broken for Guardian/Jugg.
  5. I'm curious about how different from our current set bonuses the 6.0 bonuses will be because the current is in the armorings and 6.0 is shells. Will it be beneficial to play my way, and sacrifice 6 amps from armorings, and give myself a 6 piece set bonus on top of the shell bonuses?
  6. I'd like this set to be unlockable in collections. it's a unique set, and it is completely unavailable to anyone that didn't already buy it with cc. even those that did buy it cannot reclaim it. For the past week, I've been going back and forth with cs in the in-game ticket system, and i've received several nonsense reasons as to why it's not available. all of these reasons concern the fact that i comes with armorings, mods, and enhancements. the best reason so far is that if made available, it'd open the possibility for credits exploits. i tested it by logging into my long shelved vanguard that has the armor. pulling the items out of the shell and selling them resulted in a net loss. no way to manipulate credits that way unless the goal is to lose credits. as a sub, i can get to 31 and beyond before i even unlock my ship, and planetary level sync makes the stats irrelevant. as with most cm items, this would be used for the outfit designer. call me weird if you will, but i like the look of the car-door chest plate, but i don't want the feathers that come on the bh sets, or the rainbow on the gsi rep gear, or the big shoulder pads on the huttball unis.
  7. Stuff like this is always fun. My old guild on pot5 used to do this a lot, and we always had a ball. My fav was doing EV with all Guardians. This was way back when we actually had skill trees, so hybrid builds were a thing, and focused defense was a threat drop, so careful timing of taunts was needed. Couldn't find the video, but i found one of ours from EC. Sadly, I'm not in this particular video. Fun times. Keep it up.
  8. I'd say yes, but it would for sure manifest differently for sith, than for real life humans. Take Bane, for example. Constant beatings and verbal abuse from his old man, till Bane unwittingly killed him with the force. He would have flashes of his beatings, and they just fueled his rage. Even before he was trained in the force, he used that anger to build himself up. I'd wager he had ptsd, but instead of interpreting it as something being wrong with him, he embraced it. That's the crux of the argument, isn't it? How a person interprets their trauma? A sith would probably view it as a good thing.
  9. You've probably found it by now, but there is a keybind option for "acquire focus target's target" in addition to just acquiring your focus target and the focus target modifier. The modifier is great to use, though. It allows you to, for example, interrupt the enemy healer while still targeting and attacking an enemy dps. Or heal your tank, while still targeting and healing your dps. Or switch guard from a dps to your healer, while still targeting and attacking an enemy. It's a cool, built-in feature.
  10. All the stuff above. Also, There's a video recently posted by Snave talking about this very topic. Granted, it is, of course, talking about operatives, but it applies. He's also got links in the video description. Snave Alacrity Cheers
  11. Am I the only one still wondering if Trixxie ever realized she was talking to Caprica, who is one of, if not the best sniper/slinger in the game?
  12. there's a jacket from the adaptive gear vendor on the pub side fleet. it's legacy bound, but i don't remember if it changes appearance when sent imp side. it's not quite a fur-lined collar, but it is a puffy collar, and a long jacket. truth be told, it's one of my favorites. well designed. there's also the hood-down arctic coat. it only goes to the waist, and most pants clip through it, but it is fur-lined. In either case, you'd have to dye it. i think the closest to a baggy over coat is kreia's robes. but those have a hood.
  13. I suggest this set, and others be made unlock-able for account in collections. I get it. It has stats, and therefore set apart from the other sets. These stats, however, are for lowbie toons. With the speed of leveling where it is, most people are at 31 before getting their ship, and the armoring and mods will be replaced immediately upon acquisition. I have been told I'm alone in my liking of the car-door-on-the-chest armor sets, but there it is. It's time.
  14. You are correct, of course. My only gripe was with that armor being tied to getting to a certain achievement level. During DvL, they were advertising two sets of non legacy armor being delivered via in game mail; the Victorious Trailblazer set being one of them. No info about the sets was given other than it'd be delivered after the event, and bound to that toon. I didn't have time to create new toons just for the event to get a full set of DvL leveling gear on multiple servers, but I thought (wrongly) the that rewarded armor would be leveling bonus gear. Yeah, we had no info on it, but it made sense that as a reward for doing all the stuff to get one set, we'd get a not so hideous looking BoP, non legacy, leveling set mailed to us upon character creation. So after I got the achievement, and my final piece of the set, I transferred a toon from Ebon Hawk, to Harb, and another to TRE, to make sure I got the gear afterwards, just in case I wished to play on other servers...which I do. This locked me out of gaining the DvL gear ever again. Yeah, I have the full set. Yes, I can transfer it to other servers. Yes, I'm in the boat that I created. DvL happened during a time where any communication from Devs was near unheard of. They owe us nothing, of course. But, a guy can dream. Apologies for hijacking a thread about Old Republic Anniversary Flair.
  15. This. Absolutely, this. As it is, I was a bit more than a little peeved when my victorious trailblazer armor arrived in the mail, and didn't have the bonus. Thought that was the point of it.
  16. Op is talking about the Anniversary flair. It's called "Old Republic." It's currently not listed in collections, and Op wants to be able to get and display it on new toons that will be made after the vedor goes away.
  17. Am I the only one that started humming: "she swallowed the cat to catch the spider She swallowed the spider to catch the fly I don't know why she swallowed the fly... Perhaps she'll die."
  18. What I noticed, more than anything, was that dude's at 719/50000 for Manhunter, and is squelched. Is this a fleet troll or worse, that got banned, created a new account, and is squelched again already?
  19. is it still possible to do the old juggling trick from back in the day? buy a piece, and before the refund time runs out, buy another one, and return the first one. be sure to purchase a new one before returning the old one. keep going at it like that, and it creates a reserve, and you'll never have to worry about going over the cap. I know our current cap is lower than it was a long time ago, when ranked comms were a thing, but if the refund timer is the same, it could be done. It's a very tedious process, though. and be warned, this will essentially tether your alt toon to the fleet, as leaving to go do something else can easily lead to you losing track of your timer, and all of a sudden, you have 20 unreturnable sets of gloves. I remember juggling 20-30 weapons and mounts at a time, and boy oh boy it was a chore.
  20. Except he did say it wasn't an exploit. Way back in 2013. He said this in a thread where people were concerned about getting punished for using this, and other tactics. Players were using the word "exploit," and Musco came in and said it wasn't. As far as comparing this to the CSM goes, I do find a similarity or two. True, the crystals/tunings and CSM aren't even close to the same item. They aren't used the same way, but the conversation between players and management has been the same. People that had a CSM were flat out encouraged by management to charge credits for admission to their strongholds to allow others to use the machine. This was back in 2015. After that, I went ahead and bought the thing for several million from the gtn. Hey, I was gonna make my money back, right? Days later, it was nerfed. Oh well. I'm not mad. When I bought it, it was still worth the price I paid. It did, however, cause me to lose some trust for the devs. They tell us one thing, and then forbid that action, or make it so tedious to discourage it altogether. And that's what this crystal/tuning change is doing all over again. I exclusively use legacy weapons. The Gree sabers go on my Guardian, Sent, Jugg, Mara, Sage, and Sorc. Gree double goes to the Shadow, and Sin. Kingpin rifle is on the Van, Op. Nico's blasters go to my Slinger, and Merc. The only ones to get their own weapon are the Sniper, Mando, and Scoundrel. The Scoundrel gets the Kingpin blaster just because I like it. I have spent some time finding the right crystals for the weapons. I also actually pay to unlock them for my account, since I play on multiple servers. Now, though, I will have to wait a month or so to use the combos I like without hemorrhaging credits every time I want to switch toons. My play time since 5.0 has gone down considerably. This will cause it to drop even more. The accountants will never know or care though, because I buy my sub in 6 month chunks. This is a hotfix situation. I've never been a fan of the work around for unlocking crystals for credits instead of cc, but we were told we could. They've changed their mind. Fine. But they are really screwing the pooch by only half way implementing their fix. If the item is account unlocked, it needs to be movable.
  21. You are right, and there was a dev post (or maybe it happened in a live stream) that confirmed it. Ranked participation is low, and since the RPVP rewards are unique, one time only rewards, they don't produce the kind of ROI that encourages further dev time to make new ones. So, we get battle flags, titles, decorations, and a mount. There's always a mount. It's a disappointing but understandable conclusion. Why make really cool weapons and armor (cool being subjective...looking at you, Baron Deathmark's Helmet) when so few people get them? Why put in those billable hours, when so few people actually try to attain them? I have some opinions and suggestions. When I was starting my professional career, I was told to "Dress for the career you want, not the one you have." Cliche as that is, it has served me well. I wish our friends in Austin received that same advise. Granted, it's not too late. We have a new dude at the helm, and the road-map mentions changes coming to ranked. At this point, we can only speculate about what that means. They started strong, like they knew they had a hit. Of course they did; Star Wars is one of the greatest IP's ever. Loads (too many, in hindsight) of servers, awesome ranked rewards, and guilds that coordinated matches. There were even plans advertised on the pvp menu window to include cross server. Super awesome! But then x-server got nixed, and the hierarchy of who the best pvp teams on each server got pretty well established. Arena's happened, and it's been declining ever since. The rewards have followed suit. I read a post recently about including previous season rewards at the vendors. I like that idea, and I don't like it. I have no rose colored glasses on. I'm good on my Slinger, but I'm no Caprica. I thought I was a great guardian tank, but then Kana'ba put me in a dumpster and marked the location with a bakers dozen battle flags. People like that will get the rewards. I might. Might not. If the Rancor suddenly appeared in the shop, it would no doubt diminish the Rancors from season 1. Why claw your way to the top in a competitive season, when someone three seasons later, when it's not so competitive, can get the same thing? The fact that it's a limited edition makes it attractive to the competitive players. That's why people complain about reskins. That's why people want weapons and armor. They are visible inside the warzone. When I'm fighting, I don't see your dumb plaque on the wall of your stronghold, but I do see your blaster. I do see your armor. The rewards aren't just rewards. They are trophies. And they are to be seen. I think there's something there, though. At the end of a season, the rewards are updated. Why not keep the previous season rewards available, but add a word to their name? When the rewards turn over the the next season, all previous seasons are purchasable, but are now called "Replica: Baron Deathmark's Helmet." etc. This would keep the exclusivity for the people that earned the items when they were new, and give newer/less able players a chance at getting the sought-after, but retired items. It would also give the developers a reason to produce new, cool, and unique items. Cheers,
  22. Well, I was gonna recommend Ebon Hawk till that last part. Still, EH has historically been the go to server for Republic. Like anything, there are variables. The stay at home dads that dominate early day and into afternoon tend to log off when their chubby 17 year old kids get home and whomp on them. It also depends on what guilds are on. I think the most important thing to consider is the fact that everyone has lots of toons. That means you can make friends with three other people and play whatever faction you want.
  23. Oddly enough, I have the exact opposite problem. I have two gree sabers, and one of them is locked as main hand. Both sabers have crafted 240 hilts, so it's not that the hilt is supposed to be main hand only. Doesn't really matter to me, as the other one can be put in the off hand. It's just strange.
  24. Responses in red. Additionally, there's the whole galactic command thing. Everything you do in game, assuming you maintain a sub, will award you with command xp, or cxp. Once you are 70, you will start to gain cxp, and progress through those levels. There are 300 command levels. Each time you level up your command rank, you get a crate. Inside, you may find a set piece, or just some garbage. You'll always get command tokens, and anything in the crate you don't want to keep, which will be most of it, you can disassemble in exchange for cxp. If you happen to get a 230 set bonus piece in a tier 1 crate, or a 236 from the tier 2 crate (not the 234 though, because reasons) you can immediately go upgrade it in the supplies section, assuming you have enough unassembled components. If you want healer gear, make sure you are in heal spec before opening the crate. Dps spec for dps set pieces, and tank for tank. It doesn't matter what spec you are in when you earn the crate, but it does matter when you open it. If you cancel your sub, you will no longer gain cxp, and will not gain command ranks, therefore no longer getting crates. I have no idea if you can still gear up in pvp as preferred, since the tier 2 and 3 stuff is legendary grade, and the authorization is (i think) just for artifact. If you maintain your sub, and just want to grind cxp to get to the next tier, chapter 1 "The Hunt" in master mode is the fastest way to do it, assuming you know how to interrupt, and avoid the boat loads of damage that some of those mobs will do if they catch you slipping. Funny, isn't it? They got rid of warzone comms, and introduced this cluster **** because they wanted to make gearing more simple.
