  1. I craft my alts gear myself, and I do that because 15K for a lvl 15 prototype mod is ridiculous.
  2. Will it be craftable or only purchased through the Cartel Market?
  3. I want to know what the purpose of crafting is with this change. If anything prior to this announcement people were clamoring for more crafting love, and instead we get outright hate? I don't understand. Take crafting out of the game if there's no point to it. There is absolutely no point in having a crafting skill other than Cybertech for grenades and Biochem for adrenals / stims. Just take it out if you hate it so much and make space combat better. Or if people start asking for better space combat are you going to turn it into Asteroids?
  4. This. I would really enjoy world PVP done right. I agree with what you said about, props for trying but not the best solution. I'm hoping that future iterations of the Gree event improve on this experience. What are your thoughts on how to improve it?
  5. Peopl, not in the FFA area. Get over that, I'm talking about outside of the center area where you do the other quests that are not PVP.
  6. All of them other than the two PVP quests. [Heroic] Primary Testing [Daily] Confirmation Bias [Daily] External Variables [Daily] Supplemental Research I like how you glazed over the spawn camping like it's my fault for dying and respawning at the medical droid. How is that PVP? How is that fun?
  7. You clearly didn't read my post. Outside of the center is still a PVP area. It's not a FFA area, but it is a PVP area.
  8. Please no. I do think they're running out of ideas for crystals though. They've even resorted to Lime crystals. That said, I think crystals should be available in all colors for all stats, not just END, POW, CRI, EXP. Since every class has 2 crystal slots, I don't believe this would unbalance anything, but would effectively allow the player to choose how to optimize their character. And give artifice a way to make money on crystals. It would add more customization and allow them to recycle content already in the game with little effort (at least as I perceive it).
  9. I don't mind open world PVP, but this Gree event has opened the floodgates of griefing players. There's no reason a 50 should be attacking a 43. Much less standing near the respawn point and killing on respawn. There's absolutely nothing we as players can do about it, and it makes the game irritating not fun. There's also no reason for a solo player to get rolled multiple times by a guilded op. Yes, it's a PVP area, but it has PVE quests in it. Just seperate them. If I can't find a group to go kill x of y, why do I get punished? Now I don't get the legacy gear because my guild isn't as active as some others. It's irritating, but I'm not gonna quit playing over it. Just give me a recourse for when players are clearly griefing. There is a difference between PVP and *********** with people. I do PVE more than I PVP, but I do both and have fun doing both.
  10. I hate the sorcerer designs. I can be a dunce, a bull, a mutated plant, and now a cobra. Seriously, wasn't Palpatine a sorcerer? Where are my black robes? What about the current Emperor's gear. He doesn't look like some sort of animal. Neither do the Dread Guards, or any of the other elder game sorcerers. But me, I'm a cobra. Wooo! This is why I stick to social gear and just pull the mods out of the armor.
  11. There was a recent Dev post about the challenges in implementing a new species into SWTOR. It takes a lot more than just setting a flag as a species. All the emotes, moods, etc have to be articulated for them. The voice over wasn't mentioned, but I suspect that it would need to be done as well. All that said, and the struggles and complexities of the work involved highlighted, I would still appreciate at least a vague timeline ("This will come out later in 2013" or "This is prioritized after RotHC and related bug fixes" or "This only going to be available to legacy 50 players") or recognition that it is still coming down the pike.
  12. This doesn't seem like a well thought out suggestion. It sounds more like a suggestion to overcome a misuse of the interface. There are plenty of tools to make you an effective healer without this. I can tell at a quick glance who is lowest health and then use the F keys to swap to them.
  13. It's 20% per RE. When you RE Item 1-1, there's a 20% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. When you RE Item 1-2, there's a 20% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. When you RE Item 1-3, there's a 20% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. etc. etc. etc. Not When you RE Item 1-1, there's a 20% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. When you RE Item 1-2, there's a 40% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. When you RE Item 1-3, there's a 60% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. When you RE Item 1-4, there's a 80% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1. When you RE Item 1-5, there's a 100% you will learn schematic Adv Item 1.
  14. I have no desire to play Pazaak. I'm uncertain as to whether or not gambling with in-game money against another player or a computer is legal in 100% of the places BW has SWTOR players / servers. I do know that Pazaak is gambling. I would rather BW spend their time with more meaningful content than a card game that I hated with a fiery passion in the KOTOR games. I understand I don't have to play it, but I still have to deal with the repercussions of the devs spending their time implementing it before implementing other features.
  15. Full disclosure: Long-time RPGer, first time MMOer. For the longest time, I would not play an MMO. I could not understand why you would pay $15 / month to play a game. I played Elder Scrolls, Knights of the Old Republic, and even had a couple of World of Darkness games thrown in there. When ToR dropped I was still relatively skeptical, but I knew people that played WoW and were enjoying Tor. Flash forward to my 2nd resub, and as a noob to the MMO scene there is one glaring fact that no one seems to want to face: It's the hardcore MMOers that are killing the game. I log in to the fleet ready to play, and for the most part it's a good time until one of "you people" get a stick in your *** and want to go all elitist because I chose need on an orange item for my companion that you "need"ed. It makes the game unfun. I enjoy the game, and will resub again. For the most part, I just wish the elitist hardcore MMO crowd would just relax and enjoy the game. You complain about lack of end game content, but half the fun is rolling a new toon and leveling it. So it takes you a week to get to level 50. Great. You're ruining the fun for yourself. I like running the side missions on the planets. I pick up 5-10 quests and go do my class quest and pick up all the side ones on my way. One class quest may end up taking me 4 - 6 hours with all the side quests I go on. Then if you can get a group, you can have people in different locations to turn in the quests quickly. This game works great when you roll with 3 other people doing the same level progression as you, but when you get to 50 just as fast as you can, IMO, you can no longer enjoy the game because you're going past it as fast as you possibly can. And then you complain there's no content. That makes my brain hurt. Tl;dr Enjoy the game or not. Provide constructive criticism or none at all. Resub or don't. Just quit trying to ruin it for the people that enjoy the game. You do it for love of the game, not the glory.
