It is actually quite good. Saying having to pay for something is ok as long as you can get it without paying for it is the whole point of the previous poster's comment. We are talking about spending real money on items, are we not. That's about as "real life" as you can get.

It's been "price tag" or "free". The most fervent bashers appear to think only a free "expansion" is worth it. That's why they argue endlessly over "content update" and "expansion".

Folks who tend to parse definitions usually have already lost the argument. It would be worth debating if the expansion is worth the price, but arguing whether it is an expansion or not is like liking arguing that water isn't wet.

Yes, MoP at a release price of 39.99 had more content than the upcoming SWTOR expansion.... at 19.99..... you may as well proclaim that a house that costs twice as much as another is going to be larger.....

So to be clear, WoW's MoP dropping in price is clear sign of value rising... SWTOR dropping in price is the opposite?

What the market is saying (at least on Amazon) is that MoP is not worth the release price. Market demand has lowered so much that the price has to be dropped to move the product. The price is going down because the market says the "bank for their buck" is much lower than the release price. Products don't drop in price because people are buying more of it. That you think an expansion who's price has nose-dived after three months means it is "doing better" is so silly that you are even having a real discussion anymore.

It was $39.99 at release. It is not made up. It may be on sale today but it wasn't when it was released. Just as the SWTOR expansion will likely drop in price over time. Heck, it's 30 bucks still on Blizzard's store, $9 bucks off....

It is extremely important for an actual, meaningful discussion on this topic. MoP was $39.99 at release. Pretending it wasn't doesn't move the discussion in your favor... it highlights a disregard for reality.

Compare release prices.... a 1990s car is cheaper than a 2012 model too.... doesn't mean the former is a better deal.

What common sense is that? Why would anyone think that by spending in-game credits you would get access to a Collector's Edition vendor for those who bought a specific software package?

I am all for vet rewards, but with that said, it is basicaly an entitlement for being a vet.
