  1. I've been keeping an eye on US West servers... only been looking the last 3 days (not a full week like the OP did) but it's looking like The Harbinger and Drooga's Pleasure Barge are the best bets for US West PvE servers and The Swiftsure is the only Standard / Heavy pop US West PvP server... I'll continue keeping an eye on them though. On a side note, the wife and I are having a blast on our rerolled toons on Canderous Ordo (US East PvE)... 59 people on Coruscant, 74 people on the Republic fleet at noon, and steadily climbing. Still no numbers for the Imperial side, sorry =/
  2. Several times in movies, games, etc, Jedi are seen wielding a double bladed lightsaber with only one blade extended... Hows about an option for this in-game?
  3. I started playing SW:G on launch day. Before my initial month was up, I had already renewed for a 6 month subscription. I was absolutely enthralled by the massive, beautiful open worlds, the amazing and unique crafting system and player housing... It felt like I was IN the Star Wars Universe, and it was glorious. Shortly after my first month, I changed Spec from a Droid Engineer to Doctor / Pikeman to try to find more end-game content. Instead I found myself on Dathomir, soloing 6-7 rancor at once... Really? What possible end-game could there be if I could SOLO 7 rancor at once? Then I realized there WAS no end-game content... This was as good as it was gonna get. To make matters worse, EVERY patch seemed to add one or two things to the game and break thirty. And on top of that, SOE kept dangling the carrot in front of us that there was a way to become a Jedi... But nobody had found it yet. Seriously? 7 months in to ANY MMO, there are hardcore players that would have seen and done everything... Month by month, we'd get reports that "There's a player that's about 70% through the mission to become a Jedi"... Of course, nobody ever got it until there was a patch one day, then EVERYBODY got it. SW:G was unfinished at release (like, Alpha unfinished, not even Beta unfinished...) SOE couldn't "complete" the game without alienating the whole community. In short (IMO) SWTOR is far and away a better "game," but SW:G had more (squandered) potential than any other game I've seen before or since. It's quite a shame, really.
  4. At 11 EST, a little after prime time, three were 56 people on Ord Mantell and 100 people in the Republic Fleet on Canderous Ordo, with an overall HEAVY population. Looks like a much better home than The Courageous with 5 people in the Republic Fleet... Will get info on the Imperial side tomorrow.
  5. My wife and I will likely both be rerolling on to Canderous Ordo shortly... I'll post updates on server population in the fleet(s) when I can. Also, I work an off-shift on the US East coast, and usually get off work right around peak times for US West Coast players... I'll keep an eye out on server populations over the next week-ish and post updates.
  6. Absolutely love the post! I agree with everyone that server merges / character transfers need to happen ASAP before the total SWTOR population dips to the point where the game dies completely. It's sad that BioWare didn't learn from other MMOs... That being said, if the "community" decides to take action, maybe we can keep the game afloat until transfers / merges are implemented. I have all of my toons on a desolate server (20-ish on the fleet at peak, <5 off-peak) and I've finally decided to reroll. As a favor, please update your OP to differentiate between US EAST and US WEST servers? It'd be a big help to all us US players. Edit: Canderous Ordo is a PvE US East Server, Jung Ma is an RP PvP US East Server Recommend The Harbinger be the PvE US West Server of choice for re-rollers.
  7. Saying a Guardian = a Protection warrior is kind of a bogus pigeonhole... even in WoW, a protection warrior could respec to 2-Hand and **** face... a Guardian should be able to do the same thing. Simply put, there aren't enough damage mitigation skills in the tank tree and not enough damage boosts in the DPS trees. An easy DPS fix would be to move "Single Saber Mastery" to the 31 point slot, and give it a massive damage increase, like +50% damage when using a focus instead of a shield... then it'd be more like a 2 Handed warrior in WoW.
  8. They should just get rid of shotguns altogether... no companions use aim shotguns and there are barely any scoundrels left to use the cunning ones =(
  9. Lol, right... pre-patch, the problem was that certain items (earpieces, implants, etc) wouldn't return results unless you selected an "item quality" filter... so to "fix" that bug, they just broke EVERYTHING to match? I know I'm not a computer engineer... but I know enough about it to know that it isn't quantum physics or string theory... a proper fix for this shouldn't be that hard. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe priority #1 for Bioware should be to fix the @#$&% Public Test Server so retardation like this never goes live in the first place?
  10. I would actually think this could really work, and would be incredibly fun for RPers also... Make it a legacy reward, Requires L50, completion of Act 3, Full Light side / Dark side points (to switch to Republic /Empire faction) and $XXX,XXX money... Now you have a Gunslinger for the Empire or a Sniper for the Republic, etc. Then, when the first expansion comes out, just write Republic / Empire stories for each class. Companions could be transferred also, since your story is complete... it sure seems like it'd add more flavor to the game. It's kind of bland seeing the same 4-5 companions running around the fleets.
  11. My favorite is still the "Republic Roulette" quest all the way back on Ord Mantell... "Nope, People are still exploding... refugees blowing up everywhere"
