The method that I recommend is distribute loot per the usual 1 pc/person rule, but make the following changes: -If you win a 224 piece, you are locked out and can no longer roll. -If you win a 220 piece, you can roll for 224 pieces but should you win, you have to give the 220 back to the raid lead for any eligible group members to roll on (as if it were a new drop). -If your group cannot clear the raid in 2 hours you need to learn to not pug idiots.

  9. We are looking to fill a few dps spots on a Nim TFB 8m team and HM SV 16m. Raid times are TUES/WED/THURS 7PM PST. The raid group recruiting is currently 7/7 HM SV, 5/5 HM TFB, 1/5 NIM TFB. We are forming a second NIM TFB team and filling out a 16m HM SV. We are currently in need of ranged dps, but will consider strong players of any class. Applicants should be geared enough to try out (and parse >2300 on dummy), but we value ability to learn and adapt more than current dps or gear level.   10. Suggestion for rules: In addition to pug kill rules, I think it would be good to "lock" a character on a boss after killing it for a guild. That way, a character wouldn't be able to be in progression of multiple guilds (the problem I think the pug rules are really intended to prevent) just because they might have an alt in the guild.

  13. Running both HM ops and SM ops (4 runs/toon) + HM/SM GF on my 2 55's takes about ~16hrs each week. Odd bits of playtime are used for pvp. I also spend at least 30 min/day parsing (I only play dps). My leftover time is spent leveling alts. For each character at level 55 there is at least 8 hours/week of endgame raids. For people who don't raid, I honestly have no clue what they do.
  14. That's why its better to have free roll rather than need on pug runs - so ppl don't have to gimp their gear for fear of not getting drops due to not "needing".

  17. People don't run SM ops as often nowadays. You might be able to find a geared group of 55s doing a HM 50 Op for the weekly. If so, read up a bit on the op and follow the instructions people in the group give you.
  18. DPS modded heavy armor is fair game for a mara or sent to need on (if there is a dps jug both can need on it). Considering how badly fked up some itemization is (shield generators with alacrity, or offhand knives with shield/absorb), mainstat restriction is really the only limitation that can be reasonably implemented.
  19. So this isn't lagspikes? I seem to have no problem most of the time, but I do notice from time to time I have an ability that is delayed. I have always attributed such occurrences to lag (as they typically occur during a lagspike)
  20. Honestly I feel the only reason I sub (and not F2P) is the credit cap. Its cheaper to buy all the authorizations and weekly passes (which cost less than $15/1m ratio for buying cartel packs and reselling).
  21. On the rare occasion that I run a flashpoint (I only run dps), I usually don't say much as there isn't much in the way of mechanics. Being a good dps in flashpoints (and in all content) involves optimizing your rotation given the mechanics of the fight, and this is generally a one-sided performance given competent tanking and healing. Even if I see suboptimal rotations and timings on group finder pugs, its not really worth the time to point out their flaws (sometimes they even get upset). Its a different story when running HM ops with my guild or with prescreened pugs. There's much more incentive to be vocal and optimize the performance of the group.
