  1. I just edited a Wikipedia to say that I'm a billionaire. So...I guess that must be reality now, right? Awesome. Nope; it should be able to be completed by most players...just like everything else in the basic game. And, spoiler alert - it is. The fact that there's not a giant wave of people screaming about how "completely impossible" the FP is will attest to that. If you're looking for a handout, try a different game. (See how that logic works when it's just flipped around? Triggered ya, didn't it? Yeah, it did. Try a different approach, rather than telling the majority of players who've managed to beat the "impossible" flashpoint to change the way we play. You're having the problem; fix it on your end.)
  2. Personally, I wouldn't expect the companion issue to be "fixed" until the next Galactic Grind. I'd also expect the Nightlife rollout to be laughably broken, just like last year. What the devs say, and what reality turns out to be, are almost always completely different. On a side note: If you set yourself up to be disappointed, then you shouldn't be disappointed...because you clearly saw it coming, hence the "setting yourself up" remark. I think this creates a paradox. Any philosophy majors care to sort this?
  3. Saying "make it easier until I'm okay with it" isn't playing any certain way at all. It's just complaining. In addition, your logic is faulty. Just because according to you, you haven't had any problems until this flashpoint...it doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with the flashpoint. You might get more sympathy if a lot of people agreed with you; however, as previously stated and repeated ad infinitum, you are in the minority on this. Play the game any which way you want; I personally couldn't care less. I'm sure most people don't care how you or anyone else plays SWTOR. The flashpoint isn't "broken." The flashpoint isn't even particularly difficult. You can disagree all you like...but here we are, with the devs not fixing something that isn't broken, after they already nerfed it when it didn't need to be nerfed. You don't want help, you don't want advice, you don't want to put any effort into the flashpoint itself, you won't even attempt to make a cogent argument. Not only am I done wasting my time responding to you...but I'm gonna go run through SoV again right now, with a smile on my face, thinking of this "thread" the entire time. Would you like a screenshot after I beat it again, just so you can see what it looks like? You have a nice day.
  4. Same. I don't care for PvP or GSF; too toxic. I don't really care about Conquest anymore. I think the Galactic Grind is broken and stupid, and the powers that be are too lazy to fix it. ("We know it's broken, but we're not doing anything about it till next season, because work is hard" is not an excuse.) Never been a huge fan of Operations. Great; we at least have something in common. No one is stopping you from continuing your style of play; rather, they're just not catering to the whims of a very small, yet extremely vocal, minority of people who are having their lunch money stolen by this particular flashpoint. As for your companions, your gear, or anything else - I couldn't possibly care less about it. Nothing you have, nothing you do...not even anything you say, here or in-game...affects my "ego" one way or the other. In fact, I'd propose the opposite - you seem like you're upset with me because not only can I not understand the difficulty you have with this flashpoint, but I can't even understand why the few of you complaining about it cannot and will not listen to reason, and refuse to follow the advice of others. Jamming your fingers into your ears and stomping your feet will get you nowhere. This thread, and the copycat threads like this one, are devoid of any significant support and are slowly dying off. At this rate, they'll eventually be archived, and you'll apparently still be baffled by a flashpoint that, while still a bit "grindy" for my personal taste, has been otherwise nerfed into the Yawn Zone. Good luck with your future posts; I'll be busy playing the game and having fun, as usual.
  5. Incorrect. Gearing up is an option - you just don't feel like doing it. Unfortunately for you and the six other players in the universe who can't get past this flashpoint, "I don't wanna put effort into it" is not a viable excuse. You don't even have to use 306 gear...but your post is all about your refusal to do anything aside from just kicking back and enjoying the scenery while the game simply hands you a completed flashpoint. I suppose the only way you'd be happy is if it was "install game, log in, max level, all rewards, roll credits"...but then you'd probably be here saying the game was too easy, and demanding changes to that. No one has made a compelling argument as to why you're not able to complete the flashpoint. The best retort thus far was someone saying "it's virtually unbeatable," and that's just laughable at best. You won't listen to reason, you refuse to listen to sound advice...so...what do you want, exactly? They're not going to nerf it again, because there's really nothing left to nerf...so you can pretty much throw that Christmas wish list out the window. What do you want?
  6. 2022: Year of Doing Absolutely Nothing but Fixing Existing Bugs. Dare to dream...
  7. Yeah, actually, it is. At least, it's easy for most of the SWTOR players. The fact that it's not easy for you doesn't mean that the problem is the game. In fact, just based on numbers alone, it's obvious that the problem is you. Gear up, use tactics, and enjoy progression in your game...your alternative is to continue ranting about something for which you absolutely refuse to take responsibility, despite the fact that most players have knocked out this flashpoint multiple times without difficulty. Are you at all familiar with the phrase, "Fifty million Elvis fans can't be wrong"?
  8. It's not a lie; you just can't handle hearing the truth. Part of that truth is that most of the players have completed with little or no difficulty. Gear up and use some tactics, and you'll be just fine. If you're still failing after that...then, spoiler alert: The problem isn't the flashpoint.
  9. A small but extremely vocal minority of players not being able to finish something hardly makes it "virtually unbeatable."
  10. It is easy going solo...it's just a bit long and grindy, maybe. Source: I've run each class through that thing at least once, and haven't died yet. This isn't a "git gud" retort, but seriously, I just can't understand how or why some people find it to be next to impossible. Also, you can skip it altogether, if we're being completely honest.
  11. It could always go down the same road as SWG...which would be amazing, considering how things improved in that game after it was "shut down." Well, back to YouTube...which has videos from brilliant people predicting the end of SWTOR every year since 2012 (and probably before, to be honest).
  12. Great idea. Easy to implement, it makes sense, and it adds to QoL. This should've been part of the jukebox rollout.
  13. There's a huge difference between "everyone agrees with my interpretation," and "I wish everyone agreed with my interpretation because it fits my narrative." I don't see kamikaze piloting or extreme laziness as a disruption of normal gameplay. Apparently, BW doesn't see it that way, either...because here we are. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about this "win trading" nonsense. I personally haven't seen it, I haven't done it, I wouldn't do it, and I highly doubt that it's a common practice. This is to say that I can't completely rule out its existence, so I'm just giving you the benefit of the doubt. It'd be a lot of fun to ask players for proof of "win trading," though, because no one would have any evidence of it. Let's be honest. You're arguing against the status quo, and that means you're going to have to change minds. So far, it looks like just a handful for PvPers are complaining about this, and half of you are split between "there should be a rule," and "if you read it this way, and translate it to another language, and then read it under a UV light...and make some very liberal interpretations in places...then there's already a rule against it." Either way, your position is shaky at best. Good luck, and have fun with all that. My advice would be to just adapt...but you seem to be happy with the definition of insanity.
  14. It's a great idea that won't happen. Here's why: Collection unlocks are tied to Cartel Coins...which are tied to actual money. Making things cheaper is a foreign concept to the powers that be. I'm not necessarily saying that it's an evil thing, because they gotta make money...but...we all know who Bioware's daddy is, and we all know where that road leads. Give it another year or two, and they'll be charging Cartel Coins for forum posts if they think they can get away with it.
  15. I skimmed all your stuff about warning messages, just so you know I'm not ignoring it. Understand, however, that I am dismissing it outright, because it has absolutely nothing to do with violating ToS. If this, or any other kind of gameplay were actually a ToS violation, three things would be true: One, the player would receive an actual message (not an on-screen pop up) stating there was a ToS violation; two, BW wouldn't be like, "Oh, okay, you're playing 'the right way' again, no worries" (as rescinding the on-screen pop-up warning clearly implies); and three, a second incident (or possibly even a first) would be the last for said player. Think about other ToS violations, and you might begin to understand why you're just not correct. A player cheats, a clear violation - using your logic, as long as BW sees the cheating has stopped, then it's no harm, no foul. Same with inappropriate forum posts. Same with harassing players online. Same with plenty of things that are actually in violation of the ToS...but according to you, GSF (and other PvP, to be fair) is the only area of the game where a clear ToS violation warrants...*gasp*...a dreaded pop-up message. If it doesn't make sense, then it isn't true. Thank you for this, though: At least someone on your side can admit that there is no clear, defined rule about a player killing himself in GSF, or sitting around doing nothing in a warzone. There is no rule against it, and it is, therefore, not against the rules. Duh, right? The only option you people have is to adapt. BW isn't going to create a rule that's completely arbitrary and unenforceable...especially when they're laser-focused on making sure people can add smileys to their forum posts, and have roughly ten years of bugs to ignore.
  16. Having your character repeatedly commit suicide, or having your character standing/sitting around not doing anything...does not violate a single rule on the books. None of you can cite anything to refute that. Repeatedly screaming, "It's breaking the rules! It's breaking the rules!" doesn't mean that it's actually breaking any rules. Complaining about it on the forums won't change that, primarily because your feelings don't matter. And now I'm off to do my four weekly GSF missions...where I repeatedly ram into the capital ship immediately upon spawning.
