  2. So you never played the class. And in one of your own threads you rate it as the lowest effective healer. And we were talking about running solo as opposed to premades where you can yell help in vent and get instant bodyguards while you play on toon can that runs around spewing heals with your cap guns....right Go roll and level a sorc. Do pvp I can let me know how that works out for you
  3. As a sorc? Screen shot pls. Better yet. Video of you in a pug with no guildmates throwing up outstanding numbers and schooling dps.
  4. Sorcs/.sages are more disappointed than made. Dps are elated they can now brag they 1v1 a sorc. Now to be fair they needed adjusting. Especially in the double dipping in resources. Andd their actal healing (when they are able to heal) can put up really good numbers. Their survivability is whats being questioned. As noted 1 semi half geared competent dps can shut them out and destroy them.
  5. Then balance it. Make it impossible for mara/sents to dps without a healer or a tank to guard them. Lets see how many fotm's yell and scrream it isnt fair.
  6. There is a perfect example in another thread. Unfortunately i cannot not link from my current location. look for title ...tanks tankt, healers heal, healers do not tank...( which i agree with btw) however a post by syntxerr sums up the sorc healing. Basically one (1) sentinel was able to drop a sage (which heal spec in full wh augmeented armor) while trying to keep the sentinal off him y using stuns, los, and knockbacks WHILE being healed by the poster who was trying to help hi.m out. One interrupt and sage was dead. So is it balanced for the 1 dps to be able to not only survive 2v1 without help andthe be ablet to destroy a healer?
  7. You need to find someone to group with and give you the ability to help the group. This is a team game. Solo queing isnt allowed. You should not be able to provide anything unique to the wz. Its a L2P isssue. Live with it
  8. Why dont we just suggest to remove all healing from the game along with all defensive cds and make it a true dps race. Almost ever example given by non sorcs is that "their" guilds sorcs do awesome. Ok screen shots. No premade and no guard. Lets see how long they last. I never said their HEALING NUMBERS ARE BAD i stated their survivability needs re working. Other healers can heal while moving. Sorc are static healers. To effectively use our heals. We have to stand still. Standing in the fire in ny MMO =bad. I believe those traps need to be seriously augmented so shield force cloaked or bubbled characters instantly die. No more game mechanic exploit. When attacked a healer should have to decide betwwen self preservation OR healing a teammate. Total agreement. however when one semi competient dps toon can throw so much burst and cc to drop A healer in 3 to 4a seconds without anytype of response is a moronic design at best. You are dps you can actively use your skills unless your total stun locked. Ops and troopers can still cast heals or dps while on the run. Sages and sorcs really do not have this option. By your design tanks should be given all defensive and no offensive talents. Dps should have all dps and no defensive talents and heqlers should have only heal but no defensive or dps talents. Then you have a true required balanced team. No pvp unless you que as a group.
  9. II do not play a cover class that much but i can imagine 2 reasons.. 1 position. Some of the natural cover might not be in the best locations to push an objective. Or 2 it just looks cooler to hid e behide a piece of high tech shielding!
  10. More likely the sorc was in a premade running against a full pug. So all he had to do is yell help in vent. If he rolled pug he would died so often i doubt he would break 200k
  11. Not only can a n operative heal they can also fire a weapon while strafing to help kiting. Sorc/sages yeah I not so much. They are static casters with limited escape mechanics. Los helps but is in no way a fix for the class
  12. I have to admit i was really looking forward to ranked wz's and was disappointed when they were scratched out of 1.2. Server merges will be soon although xserver ques might be a while. New wz's would be awesome but seeing filled with fotm classes really diminishes the game. Last night i saw games filled with troopers, tankasins. Ops and marauders.marauders. talk about painful. One novare coast i had my low level op with 4a marauders and 3a tankasins. We ended that game 200 to zip. Other team died so fast my healing was useless. Rofl
  13. The issue at hand is simple. If your going to create a situation where a player must que with another player to effectively do their job. Then make it so for all classes. Dps should be glass cannons. Take all defensive cds from them where they are forced to roll with a healer.make all tanks abilities be connected to standing next to a heaaler. Yeah doesnt sound fun does it.
  14. Understood. I leveled in carnage pre 1.2 but after hit 50 and doing pvp it fast became evident i had to switch. I prefer carnages playstyle but you have to survive. Most healers ive seen lately are in premades and usually ignore pug players unless they are ball carriers in huttball. Shrug. Since bio seems to be happy with pvp in its current state i will probably finish leveling my operative for legacy and move on to something else or maybe go back to wow for mists. Didnt think i would but least i can get back to arenas.
  15. Actually i am asking for the opposite. My main is a 50 marauder. Sometimes i like to change it up and play a healer. When i do WZ's one of my first targets are, yep you guessed it sorcs/ sages just to clear them out. I parked my sorc right after 1.2 after 7 days of trying to heal in wz's. I am sure you enjoy being able to global a healer but in the long term they need help

  17. Been there done that. Most times the healers are left to their own devices unless in a PREMADE as you keep referring to. Let that sorc healer try to solo any dps. And he dies unless he outgears the opponent. Yes it is a team. It is a team of tunnelvisioner players who are wrapped around the next kill for their medals. Having a character that is essentially useless without another player is nonviable. IF they are ignored and IF your opponents are completely ignorant they can do well. Most dps jump straight to sorcs/sages not because they are afraid of their healing ability but because they are easy kills/medals.
  18. Your entire discussion points to a healer only being allowed to heal if he is attached to the hip of another player. This is un acceptable. I wonder how dps classes would feel if 90 % of their abilities could not be used unless they were standing next to a healer? Most of the sorc/sages i know have either rerolled or went dps and in some cases just unsubbed.
  19. The point being that if i want to roll as heals in pvp. I aam expected to drag a tank along. Yet marauders for instance can not only survive without a healer to do their job but in most cases ccan take on 2 or more solo and still walk away looking for a fight. Now i am in no way saying healers should be able to survive 4v1without. But they need to be given better viability via survival cds or new escape mechanics.
  20. Well if tanks are to be REQUIRED for a healer to pvp then all dps should be made so fragile that they are REQUIRED. TO PLAY WITH A HEALER. All fixed i guess. Lets suggest to the devs
  21. You could not be any off base. Sorcs were seriously gimped in regards to heals. For a Sorc/Sage to enter any battleground they have to surround themselves with a team who will act as interference. They should not have to rely on other players to be successful in their role. Operatives and even mercs are much more effective in pvp. If a sorc/sage enters pvp with out someone to act as bodyguard they are nothing more than a free kill for any dps in the game. No healer should be able to survive in a 2v1 or focus fire situation. However for 1 dps to be able to completely shut them down and kill them in less than 3 to 4 seconds makes them completely useless. How can they be expected to act as a healer when anyone with a wet noodle and a boot can shut them completely down? I am seeing more operatives that do crazy healing while having so much more mobility.
  22. Its easy to manage all healing resources. Step 1 take all points out of healing tree Step 2 Put points into one or both of the dps trees. problem solved.

    So by your example, you to cant survive 2V1 and that makes healing broken? How about a spammable paladin version lay on hands that brings you to max health? Oh and a bubble that absorbs 700,000 damage before busting also spammable. Would that fix it for you? Example Assassin opens on me I use my trinket - already at 50% health I use my stun and begin casting a heal on myself Assassin breaks the stun with his trinket Assassin interrupts my heal I flash grenade and run away casting HoT's on myself I line of sight and begin casting a heal Marauder leaps to me I pop my defensive cooldowns - Defence Screen and Dodge I begin casting a heal I die. Is this REALLY correct design?
  24. Premades aren't the problem. The problem are lone ranger pugs thinking they can win the game solo. Not working as a team on objectives, not peeling dps off their own healers, and trying to charge 5v1 thinking they should be able to kill all 5 and win the game.
