  1. Sounds like a typical SWTOR General Forums poster
  2. Well I haven't ran any hard data, I was just going by the numbers I see on the characters screen and my own personal experience. Guardians having defensive abilities - both cooldowns and constant - that absorb all damage period, while Assassins' constant mitigation is just increased shield chance (DW - which doesn't cover Force/Tech attacks) and some self healing (HD which seems very minor), while their defensive cooldowns are very specific depending on which attack you're being hit with. I however do not notice any major difference when I play my healer between healing Shadows and Guardians (my guild doesn't have any VG tanks) so I guess the difference in survivability really isn't major if you have a competent healer
  3. If you're a professional, comitted to the job, you have to go darkside. That of course has no gameplay effect whatsoever, it's more of a roleplaying flavor
  4. Oil Slick does make a big difference, seeing how your defense is too low to merit a whiffing rate of 73%
  5. Another vote for Blizz, the little guy makes a headband for you so you can wear it underneath your helmet.
  6. Sentinels have team buffs. Team buffs which can be interpreted as a leader inspiring his team
  7. Jugg tanks are the most sturdy but have the lowest threat Assassin tanks are not quite as sturdy as Juggs but have the highest threat (because of their high damage) PT tanks are somewhere in between
  8. Concealment Operatives and Deception Assassins are both very good stealth burst damage classes, they do have their uses in rated PvP. But like with all things, it all depends on the player behind the keyboard, not the class. Edit: replaced DPS for "burst damage"
  9. Synthweavers can make a moddable version of that robe, the schematic drops like rice from grade 6 UWT missions.
  10. I don't know why so many people are saying non-human for BHs, they are based on mandalorians and they become mandalorians during the story. And while mandalorians are not a human-only tribe, the most notorious ones have been human.
  11. Also, I know mercs still do giggle when they use their AoE knockback, at least my female merc does.
  12. Smugglers used to giggle when using Dirty Kick (who wouldn't) but they nerfed it for similar reasons to the above mentioned
  13. What about T3-M4? and T7-01? are they not canon?
  14. Why are people saying madness assassins? Madness is a DoT tree aka boss killer; those dots are wasted on the trash you fight which dies in 2-3 hits
  15. ALL classes will get through dailies quickly, but I'd say the fastest are the stealth burst DPS classes, Concealment Operatives and Deception Assassins
  16. Defensive stats do have their use in PvP, but you'll get more bang for your buck if you go with DPS gear
  17. Depends on which tree you're speccing into
  18. You are sacrificing way too much for just Retractable Blade, not to mention you won't even get Steely Resolve (+9% Aim)
  19. Dummy is by no means a measure of how well you'd do in every Ops boss fight, it's more along the lines of a comparable indicator of your rotations
  20. Nowhere in the tooltip does it say it can't be used on targets under cover
  21. Operative PvE DPS is by no means useless. Yes, it is mediocre only when compared to the big dogs (Powertechs, Marauders, Snipers) but by no means useless. A group of competent Operative DPS will down bosses without hitting enrage timers, but they (and the rest of the team) are gonna have to be damn competent to pull it off
