  1. There is definitely an issue somewhere, I have two different systems on separate routers that I can use to check and neither will get all the way into the server screen.
  2. Same issue I started a thread about around 2 hours ago. It seems to be something being pushed that is corrupting the game. Sometimes, I get stuck trying to login, sometimes it crashes to desktop after login when click play, or it will start the game after clicking play but just sit at the loading screen spinning the gear icon. BW needs to get off their collective asses and resolve this issue, and they need to post something to show that are at least aware of it.
  3. The login server seems to suddenly have an extremely long delay in authenticating. Once it finally does, clicking play seems to crash to desktop. Anyone else seeing this happening?
  4. Me thinks the server doth protest to too much gaming...
  5. Same problem here. I was in the game and the session completely locked up in mid-battle, and it froze my system. Had to reboot to clear. Server queue was waiting when I logged back in.
  6. What I see from the expansion and all of this "patching" is that BW has ZERO concern for its existing customers and is merely pandering to a minority in the game and potential (non-existent at this point) customers ahead of the upcoming movie. I said it before in a different post that there were certainly many things that needed an adjustment, but the only responses came from the flamers who insist that if the new content doesn't work for me that I MUST be doing something wrong. What those morons and BW seem to miss is that not everyone (and certainly not the majority) desires game content that forces them to group. Grouping is all well and good, but it must never be a forced requirement for true game enjoyment. I do not want to hear the argument that this is a MMO. That has absolutely no bearing because no where in MMO does it say group. MMO simply means a large number of players online. The comps (pre-nerf before today) at least made it possible to run solo through much of the content. I share the sentiments of many who say that should that change for the worse they will not be renewing their subscription. BW is heading down the same path that Sony did with SWG and will drive their customer base away by making idiotic content decisions based on feedback from a minority group in the game community. But, by all means, let's implement ridiculous changes and milk as much money as possible before it shuts down due to simple economics. Way to take an enjoyable game and destroy it.
  7. I will start this by saying that I agree the content (pre-KOTFE) was in need of some beefing up, but post-KOTFE the flashpoints are ridiculous, regardless of mode. Solo Mode: These are now a joke and provide ZERO incentive for completion. The only ones that come close to requirement are the Ilum FPs that are tied into the planetary story reqs. The remainder serve no purpose whatsoever that I can fathom. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Tactical Mode: These are doable so long as you do not get level-sync toons in the mix. Level-sync kills. I find it all well and good to bolster dmg/health/healing for the lower ranked toons; however, bolster does NADA for the lack of abilities that those toons do not yet have. Hard Mode: Making every HM a level 65 seems like a great idea, but the difficulty on them seems to border on impossibility. And I will add that I do not give a rat's *** that some groups seem to be walking through the HMs. The fact is that a majority of players cannot complete the things based on the forums and general in-game chatter. Adding to that the insult of placing some crafting mats as a drop only from HMs now creates a situation where the game is ending up with a greater distinction in gaming classes and a mandate to group for content to get anywhere meaningful in the game. Even the ops seem like a walk in the park compared to the HMs. Basically, the market prices are now grossly overpriced and there are less haves and more have-nots amongst the players. Granted, there will always be this separation to some extent, but it seems as though the haves are now akin to the 1%. One of two solutions is necessary to resolve this. Either have the mats drop elsewhere in the game or the difficulty level of the HMs needs to come down a tad. Perhaps a bit of both since not everyone should have to group play to have any lasting success in the game. A lot of what I read from Bioware about this new expansion was how they wanted to improve the gameplay for players, but what I see is that they are catering the content (perhaps inadvertently) to a minority group. Does everything need to be a piece of cake or solo-possible? Absolutely not. But there does need to be some common sense added back into the game so that the majority can fully enjoy the game time they pay for.
  8. Bioware needs to give serious consideration to a further revamp of the Flashpoints and conquest. They have taken a game that a majority enjoy and either dumbed some parts down to nothing (I am looking at you Bounty Week) or mandated group activity to make any progress (ANY non-story line FP, conquest individual goal). It is rather a dick move to make a majority of the old content require groups, while leaving the new content as solo. Furthermore, it is all well and good to remove most of the crafting aspect of conquest, but to make nearly every FP worth doing into a tactical is BS.
  9. The heck you say. Hitting the EPO button for the instant shutdown and flipping power back all at once NEVER goes badly.
  10. Not always true of late. Harbinger is getting to be the Heavy Load server a lot lately.
  11. It does seem to be more of the norm for the server of late. Hardware issues abounding?
  12. Or they could do some serious hardware upgrade of the Harbinger server.
  13. Same here. Started with long queue wait for subs and got about an hour of play (once in) before this. Let's see some of that IT magic, BW.
  14. I too am experiencing this issue. It began when they updated the login launcher a couple weeks ago. I will randomly get one of two problems: A. Attempting to login will get me "Login Service is Unavailable" B. I login successfully, but get the forever load screen with the spinning cogs in the bottom right corner This is beginning to become annoying and rather tiresome. I, like many other players, have a number things I am trying to accomplish prior to the big expansion on Tuesday. BW really needs to find a proper solution to this issue ASAP.
  15. I too seem to be experiencing this issue more and more ever since they updated the launcher application a couple weeks ago. About one third of the time, I will either get an error message that the login service is not available. Or I will get logged in successfully and click "Continue" only to get stuck forever on the loading title screen with the spinning cog. BW needs to figure out what they did and resolve it ASAP because it obviously is affecting gameplay for quite a few people.
