I completely agree with your post; in retrospect, I could have made a few points more directly. If you give it just a cursory examination, though, without really trying to get into the head of the author you're going to miss the spirit of the piece. I can't say the word spirit now without thinking of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron? Much like you and my tribute video, I didn't understand that movie. I watched it as everyone around me made these declarative monosyllabics like, "Wow..." and "Jeez...". I just kept thinking, 'I don't think horses are capable of this level of intelligence,' but then I've never actually owned a horse. I've had a few dogs, though. Dogs are funny creatures.

We've waited entirely too long for this. The detail that frustrates me is that a lot of us re-rolled because of server pop issues before mergers which resulted in the divided toons; so the need for this--in some cases--really wasn't our doing...

Posts in the existing threads get buried and add little attention to the subject. New threads add a sense of immediacy; I love seeing new threads on this in the naive hope that the developers will do something about it.
