  1. Imo mandalorian world view is more like social darwinism, than the sith. Sith world view has such elements ,but it is a bit different.
  2. Emotions are vital part of ours lives, yes. This is similar to the buddhist and hindu teachings that passion ,emotion and whims are the reason to suffering.Basically as the buddhist want their mind to be at peace, which means a constant meditative state. This is also similar to Shaolin fighting methods, where also your mind must be in a meditative state, without emotion while fighting and practicing. Also due to the nature of the light side of the force, you must be at peace in order to channel it. This part of the code i think means that you must always strive to pursue knowledge. This is similar to the first part of the code. With this, the jedi are trying to explain that noone truly dies as in disappearing altogether upon their death and that their essence is transferred to the force. ''There is no chaos, there is harmony'' This is also striving to achieve harmony withing yourself in the chaos around you, also trying to spread that harmony to the world. * * * Due to the nature of the force in the Star Wars setting/universe, the sith are working with larger aspect of the force, while the jedi are sacrificing power in order to be ''good'' and avoid the corrupting influence of the dark side. Of course force sensitivity matters more, but if you have a jedi and sith with equal force sensitivity ,the sith would achieve more ... on paper. This is also influenced by the fact that the sith has less scruples about when and how to use the force.
  3. You can't be more wrong here.Sith that lack self control are failures, just the same as their jedi counterparts. Just because they have less scruples, based on their world view ,doesn't mean they lack self control. Your basic understanding of what sith do with emotions is flawed. Sith believe that they must control their emotions and use them, while the weak are ruled by them.
  4. This would be the english RPing realm. RPers come here.
  5. So you do agree those class race combinations are ridiculous. Otherwise it would not be a good trolling.
  6. Sith Purebloods are one of the backbones of Sith Empire society. They personally want revenge againts the republic for destroying their ancient empire and 98%(?) of their race. How can you be ok with a Sith Pureblood jedi knight of the republic. The whole thing screams - IMPOSSIBLE,but it will be, simply because of the legacy mechanic. I perfectly well know that Miraluka are not blind and can see,i also know how they can see. They are a mystical race.Everyone is very force sensitive.Being a force sensitive and a powerful at that does not make you automatically a part of the jedi order.Jedi order is mostly about adhering to an ideal. There are many powerful force users that are not part of neither the sith nor jedi. I am not saying every Miraluka should be part of the Sith or Jedi order, but i can't imagine any miraluka lowering herself to being a smuggler. Not only it is ridiculous, but a force sensitive miraluka, does not need to be a trooper or smuggler. They can be more successful as a force user. What makes you think Miraluka that are not jedi are not trained in the force? This would be kinda dumb, given the fact their whole race is force sensitive.in fact i imagine there is a school subject for them entirely dedicated to force using.Being trained to use the force, does not mean you are jedi or any organisation for that matter. Some of them simply chose to be part of that order. With Force sensitivity comes a world view that kinda excludes life career as a smuggler or bounty hunter ,in my humble opinion.
  7. Some kind of individual cases maybe. Some sith pureblood turned to the light/became jedi and forgot what the jedi and the republic did in the Great Hyperspace war.ok 1 in a million,it is possible. But being a playable class/race combination is different and kinda wrong.Imagine coming to Tython with that little ship and every1 greets you ,'' oh hi padawn, the flesh eaters are atacking us,pls help us please''and you being a red Sith.Realy?Srsly? Also, how can a Miraluka be a non force user? Every other class and race combination is ok .But these 2...
  8. Grey jedi do not embrace the dark side as sith do.Grey jedi is more of a definition of someone that operates outside of the Jedi Order, than someone that use a certain side of the force.
  9. that kind of stupid nonsense is what made me quit wow in the first place, please don't do that, don't destroy the game and its lore. There is no way IN HELL,EVER,EVER that a pureplood can be part of the republic and a jedi at that. Please dont do it. Ok miraluka can be a sith, but comon, a pureblood can't be any Republic class, dont do it ,its just ... wrong.
  10. The sith are all about power in the force. The sith know the light side ,as well as the dark side. They just use the dark side, because it serves their goals better. You can become more powerful if you are not limited to the way of the jedi. That is why individualy the Sith always have more raw force power.Always the sith are being defeated at the end because of some other reason, not because the jedi are more powerful in the force. Learning ALL the ways of the force and unlocking ALL its power, its inevitably to work with the dark side at some point. At the end those that seek pure power in the force(not political power or something like that) become corrupted by it.That's why they are more evil. For the sith power in the force is a goal in itself. That said, the dark side choices of Sith Warrior and Inquisitor are kinda brutish and stupid.Krea's evil in kotor 2 was better. She realy made you doubt the ways of the jedi, and made you think they were wrong.
  11. I just saw this : ''Odile Vaiken was a Human male alive during the Great Hyperspace War and its aftermath. Vaiken grew up within the borders of the original Sith Empire and was, like other citizens, a loyal servant of his Sith overlords. The Great Hyperspace War between the Empire and the Galactic Republic ended badly for the Sith, and their subjects were forced to flee their homes to escape retribution from enemy forces. The young Vaiken joined his fellow countrymen in a massive exodus from their decimated capital of Korriban, led by a reclusive Sith Lord. '' This explains partly the humans population i gues,so my mind can be put to rest. It seems that large group humans ,not part of the republic were within the borders the ancient Sith empire. O.o
  12. 1.Way to miss the point, but ok,i can agree. 2.Making me think of the movies is a success on their part and i don't like it. I don't want to make any connections in my mind between the 3000 years of difference between the movies and the game when we are talking about art style, uniforms and such.In fact, before playing kotor 1 and 2,i hated the star wars franchise and the movies. 3.The dark jedi exiles(which were very few individuals, compared to the whole sith race) that became Sith Lords, interbred with the sith species and got their traits, not the other way around.Red skin and various deformities.Ludo Cresh,Marka Ragnos ,Naga Sadow and others are the result.By the time of the Ancient Sith Empire's defeat and exile,i don't see any evidence of pure humans in the Sith empire.Basicaly everyone was basic sith,or mixed ,like the above mentioned.Non of them looked like humans.Which makes me think, those that escaped in the Unknowned regions to recreate the empire were all red sith. And this is what makes me wonder why are there so many humans. 4.I was talking mainly about the style, not the advancement of technology.Republic ships for example look like those in kotor 1 and 2 ,despite the 300 years difference, as it should be.
  13. Why is it that the sith empire members(or citizens,or subjects) are called imperials. Why are they not called sith, just like Revan and Malak's sith.If you remember even the simple soldiers in kotor 1 and 2 were called sith. When i hear the word imperial,an image of the imperials of the Galactic Empire from the movies comes to me,also the imperials of Elder Scrolls(but scratch that). Why the members of this second faction are to be called by the type of government they use,and not their affiliation. They are supposed to be a continuation or rebuild remnant of the Ancient Sith empire, not some people that chose to make their government an empire. While theres a galactic government called- the republic and an order of ''monks'' called jedi and there is a clear distinction between the jedi and the republic, this is not the case with the Sith Empire and the Sith. The jedi were never species, nor a galaxy spanned faction. Also from where the hell did they got all these humans. This sith faction was in the unknown regions.Humans are suposed to be in the core worlds and partly in hut space and the outer rim. Did people just went there and chose to serve the sith?Isn't this sith faction suposed to be super secret hiding from everyone. If it is so secret how so many humans, went there and became part of the Sith Empire military. As far as i know the only humans(exept the dark jedi exiles) the ancient sith empire ecountered are the 2 explorers that were later used in the Naga Sadow plot to expand the Sith Empire. When we are talking about the Sith Empire ,we are not talking about Sith Order,Sith religion and Sith teachings only.We are talking about the Faction- Sith. The Anceint sith Empire that rebuilded in the Unknown regions. Why is grand moff Odile Vaiken a human?Even if the sith that escaped had human slaves(which doesn't make any sense),it would not be possible to crate such a large military based solely on this human population And why the hell sith Warships look the same way as the Galactic empire ships from the movies? The uniforms also.Did Palpatine chose to revive this ''ancient sith style'' for use in his empire? All this doesn't make any sense and it seems to me an attempt to draw fans of the movies without any Kotor 1 and 2 common lore sense.Star Forge's Malak's warships looked more or less similiar, but not EXACTLY THE SAME as those in the movies. Do you remember the republic soldiers in kotor 1?Why the hell republic soldiers in ToR look like republic clone troopers from the clone Wars????? Don't take me wrong ,this is not whining, this is my favorite game. The stuff i mentioned is just something i was curious about and it is making me uneasy while playing. Can some1 put to rest these questions i have so i can enjoy the game fully without this uneasy feeling while playing? :/
  14. Yes.Great questing.Great pve and good enough pvp.Story is great too. And FFS its a frikin KOTOR 3 damn it,its a game (mmo at that) in the old republic setting 300 years after kotor 1 and kotor 2.What's not to like?Even if the gameplay was 60% WORSE i woulld still play this game to oblivion.
  15. You srsly need to get a life,or enjoy the playing itself ,not playing for rewards. If you played for fun,you would not care that less skilled people that don't do premades get same gear, which means you need to get a life. .PLs dont bring wow arena mentality here. If you like the idea of being more powerful, then be so,with skill, not with gear.
  16. Hmm ,shouldn't the eyes be yellow or bright yellow. I haven't seen red eyes anywhere in other games, films, pictures ,anything..or am i missing something? Even Palpatine has red eyes...
  17. Omg don't even mention arenas in this game.Or at least don't mention them as a pvp reward mechanic thing. I hoped to leave the arena as i exited the wow and shut the door behind me.Please don't bring arenas here,as a main balancing and reward system.
