Hi Devs As the original thread about this in General descended into off-topic infighting and other such madness, thought I'd post about it here. Previously, we could unlock armour/weapon rewards we obtained from GS1 & 2 for around 10 Cartel Coins. For GS3, this has increased to standard collection unlock prices (60 Cartel Coins and upwards). Is this an intended change? I didn't see anything in the patch notes.

@JackieKo What is this? And after the amount of CC rewards from GS has been reduced too? I'm really hoping this is bug and someone forgot to apply the reduced unlock to these character only items. IF NOT then ALL GS rewards armor/weapons need to be tradeable/sellable/vendorable.

Don't do what I did and run the whole chapter then realise you forgot to set it on Vet 😭 But on topic, the difficulty has been increased so you'll need 326 gear - I did the chapters on Vet a years back when they were first introduced and they've been made harder to match lvl 80. As well as higher gear, I recommend taking some cheap gifts to get the forced-on-you companions influence up if they are low (Koth, Lana).

I'd settle for them updating the Iokath Quinn returns cut scenes to include whatever customisation we chose for pre-Iokath Quinn (I'm sure the Elara Dorne romancers would appreciate the same for her too). I have a warrior in the <Quinnmancers> on Starforge with this Quinn waiting in her stronghold for years now.

This is a really good point/idea. We have an entire planet outside the doors of our alliance/hand/nova base. It would be a really good idea to get a side story going here (like Ossus or Onderon or Mek'Sha) which leads on after to a set of new dailies. How about bringing back someone we exiled into a story (Koth, Kaliyo, Theron), or for those who killed all, someone common to both the Republic & Empire past. If they can't be arsed with it, open it as a writing competition to the players - get us to write it.

Hi Devs, further to these posts, please return/add back the feature (that we had in the the old forums) to skip to the "next Bioware post" within a thread. This is a feature that is sorely missing from these new forums. I went to log in to do my screenshots for the "2nd Best View" competition at @11:50hrs (UK) and received a red banner with the "you have been selected to test..." notification. I thought testing was over? Unfortunately the forum feature to select "next bio-ware post" in a thread is not available in these new forums (if it is, can some one tell my how/where to find it), so without the tedium going through every page of this thread, I'm not sure what the launcher situation is. If it is a test (rather than the final roll out), this is what I've seen: The launcher is over twice the size of the previous launcher. I thought there was not going to be any visual changes with the log-in? After the launcher update, it did not seem to be any quicker to log in. The character selection screen is different. The ship scene behind my character is much better and the whole thing is visually clearer (though this might be because I updated my drivers over the weekend!).

I play for enjoyment. I do not enjoy organised grouped activities and never have. That said, I'm the first to make groups for world bosses during the Hutt dinner event and similar and I will do unranked PvP and the occasional FP via the group finder. I just prefer soloing. Up until recently, you'd be surprised how much there was to do for a solo player (especially an altoholic like me). BUT since there has been little in the way of "big" story content for a long while and in line with your response, I'm considering a sub break - something I've not done since 2012. I'm hoping you're wrong about having to wait until 8.0 for more story. I'm really hoping there will be something good for us story players in 7.2 at least. I'm staying subbed for the moment for the screenshot competition as I think you have to be a sub to enter. After that? Probably break time.

I think my question about story future is valid and you are right to some extent - I'm really asking if there's a point to staying subbed to keep my characters up-to date with the story ready for any new story that is coming. We were promised this "exciting" story in 7.0+ so I kept subbing hoping for it but we're nearly end of the year and nothing. I'll say that I've never seriously grouped for anything because it's just never been a style of play I like (and I've played this since beta). GS is definitely not story it's just more grind for stuff (which I generally do). There was always something story-related for me to do (variations of class running original story and beyond). However, I'm at the point where I've mostly exhausted all of that. I did not consider un-subbing from swtor as the non-subbed game is dire after you've played subbed. Maybe you have the right idea though; quit and only comeback when there is a substantial story update. As a side note, my favourite of all wow expansions wotlk classic is back so maybe that's where I should be (last time I said something similar I was sent to forum jail for 48hrs😆).

To expand on the title, the only reason I stay subbed is for the story. I'm a solo player (no interest in guilds, grouping for ops, constant group FPs or serious PvPing). Story is my main interest and we've not really had an immersive and continuous story since KotET. Will we be getting any main story content before the end of the year? The smidgens of story we've had this year have mostly been over far too quickly. Everything else available to a solo player is currently repeat grind of the daily area(s) but no incentive to do so (gear for a solo player is not an incentive - for me I only bother with decent gear on my main - the 70+ others can do with green drops) and I'm maxed on all but 2 reputations). I'm still subbed but haven't been logging in because there's nothing new for me to do. If more story is unlikely before the end of the year, it would be good to know. If 7.1.1 is the last content update of the year that's fine; it would be good to know this though. Players who are NOT interested in story content, please stay out of this thread.

Excellent! Looking forward to future customisations for font size🙂 I quite like the current "dark mode" as it suits my vision however, I expect there are many who would like a "light mode".

I can't find the Quinn thread (via the "search the forums" option) Is that because the old forums are still updating? I can still access the Quinn thread via the links in my signature though, so it's not lost. Edit: Signature is working - yay! Visually - is there a way to increase the entire forum font size or can that only be done through my personal PC settings? That's the only other issue I have - the font is too small for me.

I don't think he has a story; he seems to be a random disaffected imperial who hates everyone and will attack both faction's players on sight (if they are close enough). Maybe back in beta they may have had a quest in mind for him, maybe they'll use him for something in the future.

It is annoying. This is why I tend to do a lot of things solo. There's also the issue of grouping randomly for H4s and discovering after completing that one person in the group already tried and failed (or left their previous group) but didn't realise they needed to reset the H4 in for the new group, so no-one gets the completion. This should be auto-flagged for the whole group so we can make sure everyone is starting at the same point. A warning such as "you cannot complete this heroic because grouped players are at different points" might help.

Wow! That is surprise, I thought Theron's would be the longest thread as he appeals to so many and is still very much in the game for a lot of people. I had no idea Arcann's thread was so big - he's catching the one and only king of the love threads which is Quinn. Let's hope they are all saved in their entirety when the new forums launch. Imagine the fun* we can have with the ability to post images and videos *clean fun of course Devs!
