  1. Let me break this now: The events on Odacer-Faustin Academy happened just after the defeat of the Empire to the Republic in this game. Project I71A was constructed by Darth Drear approximately 4,645 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), during the same time the Odacer-Faustin Academy itself was finishing being constructed. The events depicted in Red Harvest take place over 1,000 years after the completion of the virus. The Treaty of Coruscant (which is in place even during the game's events) only existed between 3,653 - 3,642 BBY. Given that the events of Red Harvest likely didn't happen until about 3,650 BBY, introducing this content would be non-canon. Besides, we already have Rahkgoul plagues. If Kaon Under Siege isn't a zombie fest, I don't know what is.
  2. Too much can go wrong. And it'd be a lot of work on their part. Not to mention the already mentioned.
  3. You're late to the party: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=409109
  4. Not that this can be changed - but I would like to say - The use of Mandalorian styled republic soldier/trooper armor is ENTIRELY UNCANON! That armor styling wasn't adopted until the Clone Wars when the Grand Army of the Republic was created from the genetics and training of a MANDALORIAN. Why didn't you stick to the original KOTOR stylings? Why didn't you just adapt those?? You gave the Imps their own distinct armor stylings... you couldn't do the same for pubs? I just get irate when i see a trooper or even a bounty hunter running around looking like he just walked out of a Republic Clone Commando team... you literally have ARC trooper armor in this game... Seriously??? We're only a COUPLE THOUSAND YEARS before any of that... no big deal... -_- Also think the Imperial fleet is far too reminiscent of the traditional fleet stylings from the original trilogy. Granted none of this will be changed... I'm just complaining. still my largest complaint about this game (and that's saying something).
  5. This my extended response to the following thread: Send a Guild Mail Needed this for a while. I'm about to resort to individually mailing all 200+ toons in our guild because there's a lot that's happening within the upper echelon of our guild and there's a lot we need to communicate. People don't always read chat. We want to get across to our guild members. Visit our website Join our teampseak TALK TO US! That way we know who to keep and who to trash That way the guild members know what's going on. That way they're informed of events Connected to leadership Creates more opportunity for us to communicate with them. Not having an option like this is really restraining on the community aspect of SWTOR. Also a guild officer mailing option or rank specific mailing option would be helpful. It would be cool if you could create little hyperlinks like: "For more information please contact any Darth (<= link)." Players could click on that option and immediately pull up a guild sort of only the Darths (this will make more sense if you read my following ideas on guild roster searching) In my opinion the guild interface overall needs an overhaul. There needs to be more options available to guild leaders. More ranks has been a big request for a while now. That's a start. An easier organization system for sorting through members. Perhaps little tabs for each toon so that when you highlight them it pops up and shows basic and essential information. Like their rank, level, class, member note, officer notes (for officers), crew skills, alignment, legacy level, and maybe even major achievements (for kicks), their own little blurb box, etc.. That way you could see all you want to see with a lot less clicking in a lot less time. Also make the search interface something outside of the list. Like you can type in a characters name or maybe something in their member note ( as many guilds use member notes as a place to list names of that player's recognized name for all their toons ) or their level, crew skills. Stuff like that. Or they can type "officer" and find the officer ranks (which need their own recognition system... like a freaking checkbox or something for the GM). The MOTD and Guild Description could have more space with the simplified search system meaning guild members could see critical information more quickly and easily. Hell make a different tab just for all that major information and put the guild roster in a DIFFERENT TAB. That shouldn't be difficult. Also give the opportunity for a lead officer rank to access some GM options so that they can assist in guild workings. That way if the GM is on hiatus or something like that. Also make this the only rank that can promote a toon to an equal guild rank as theirs. Also a GM vote kick option needs to be in place. Like a mail message or some kind of pop up when you login/are playing that has a short blurb from who the vote is being initiated by about why they chose to kick the GM. Also make a requirement that in order to start a vote you HAVE to be an officer rank and that you need to gain agreement from at least four other officer ranks (or all of them if less than that are present in the guild). From there you have a week till the vote finishes. If more people approve the vote kick than deny than the GM will be booted. Also leave a neutral abstain option. If the total amount of voters is less than a certain of percentage of the active accounts that have been active in the guild in the last 30 days (starting from the date of vote start) than the vote automatically fails. This will prevent hostile takeovers during low population times of year. Also make sure it's one vote per account (not toon). To prevent vote stacking. Also: Make sure that when the vote is initiated (and agreed upon by the supporting officers) that all those involved pick a new person to be GM. The decision has to be at least 80% agreement or unanimous. Having options like this will allow members to retake control of a guild where a GM has left without warning (and has not returned) or when a GM is being corrupt/out of control, etc. Give em a little of that Republic Senate styling. Finally a chatbox option for contacting only certain guild ranks through chat. For example officers could type /gDarth or /gWarrant. Stuff like that and it would immediately send the following message to all the active members of that rank online. Also a /gOfficer modifier so any player can immediately get the attention of all guild officers. Also - Event/Raid planner. In the in game guild interface. On the left a scroll down of dates with events listed on them and on the right event details. Make a separate tab for this stuff as well. Have a special template for raids, datacron hunts, world boss hunting, and things like that. Show the ranks allowed to participate, written info from the GM or lead officers, so on and so forth. This is a tip of the iceberg on ideas I have but just implementing a few of these would make the community building and maintaining within SWTOR SOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE. You could really prolong the life of this game just by doing a few of these simple interface changes. It's surely easier than creating a whole new flashpoint that received a lukewarm response post-release. Your consideration and discussion as developers and players is appreciated. More of my ideas: More Content Space Such
  6. Devs wont do it. It would disrupt the style of progression they're trying to inflict on you and make your journey a hell of a lot easier which means you could stop playing (and paying) sooner. Too many drawbacks for them and too many perks for us that could inflict damage on their profits. I agree this idea would be cool, don't get me wrong, but you really have to consider the devs mindset isn't necessarily OUR mindset. They still have to make a profit - so the game has to have nuances here and there. Example: The dreadful ways of free to play. Great at first - and then you get deeper in the game and more or less hate it. Just dwell on the intricacies for a few and you'll see what I mean. There's too many chances for work arounds.
  7. Exactly what I was saying here
  8. First off, I would like to say I just posted over in the Cartel Market suggestions talking about bringing back G7 Ship upgrades for those heroics. I ended in a little side rant suggesting that you devs who hopefully read this bring in some new space mission content for the new KDY flashpoint and also the future content for the opposing faction attacks on Korriban and Tython you all mentioned in your road map. But I have some more suggestions that have been on my mind for a while now. Mini-Games. Really simple and iconic stuff. PAZAAK. FREAKING PAZAAK. THE MOST UNDER APPRECIATED PASTIME OF KOTOR! I quite enjoyed Pazaak back on KOTOR, once I was old enough to fully understand how it worked. It's kind of like any high stakes card game - A lot of chance involved. Think of the freaking stuff you could do with that. Really simple stuff that people would actually love to do. You could have Pazaak vendors and all these cards to collect and special edition cards and people could play each other in some kind of like casino/cantina on the fleet or on DK/Coruscant or something like that. Or even create this whole new place out in Hutt Space or on Nar Shaddaa. But the placement isn't even what's important. People would play each other and bet credits and collect better cards and if their intuition is good they could keep doing it and use it as a way to gain creds. You could have Pazaak tournaments with special prizes to give away and all that kind of jazz. It'd be so simple. I'm not a game dev but honestly - if you all can go to the intricacies of crafting a form of Space PvP combat (although granted many of the mechanics screamed of World of Tanks), there is no reason in this galaxy far far away that you cannot efficiently and in fair time make a Pazaak league in SWTOR. I'd freaking play it. I'm sure other people would too. Especially original KOTOR fans. Swoop Racing / Pod Racing / BOTH! Now that might be a little more complicated to put together than a Pazaak league... But what if you did! Think of the outcome of that! Swoop Racing! Another beautiful return to realm of KOTOR. Great for people who got it, and the Darth Bane (<3 Karpyshyn) of the galaxy for those who didn't/had no timing/coordination. With newer technology and graphics and tools at your disposal, Bioware could surely bring back the epic speed rush of swoop race time trials! You could set up whole systems of Swoop Vendors and create different tracks all across the galaxy and have tournaments and all this kind of stuff. Just take the concept, craft it (well) and then build a community out of it! Think of all the 55s out there who log in and really have only a few things to do: Talk to community Run warzones Run space missions Run 50-55 dailies Run flashpoints Operations (Granted all that can take a lot of time - but it becomes so monotonous) Imagine giving them more fun options! It doesn't all have to be epic SWTOR adventure stuff! There are plenty of MMO gamers out there who love the little stuff! Swoop could be one of those things. Set daily records. Weekly records. Server records. Different tiers of swoop speed and skill. The stuff you could do with it. There's so much for something so simple. A vehicle shooting straight forward as fast as it can for barely a minute or two. And the amount of stuff you could do on the cartel mark for cartel coins and all that jazz that'd be relative. If you made these mini games right, people would buy it. Also there's pod racing. A little more iconic to more people familiar with Star Wars thanks to Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. A real kick of nostalgia for anybody who owned a Sega Dreamcast and played Episode 1: Racer (THIS GUY). I freaking loved those pod races. The planets, the racers, the ships! The game was so underappreciated but so superbly done! Imagine bringing back that same glory and depth into SWTOR. Pod racing would probably be the most complex thing to craft of these three suggestions but if you could pull it off think of the crowd you could draw in! A racing game in SWTOR! Upgrade pod racers, buy new ones, create leagues! Tournaments! Different planets! Pit Crews! Hangers! WELCOME TO GIRADDA THE HUTT'S RACE TRACK OF DEATH! I'M YOUR RACE MASTER! BARON DEATHMARK!! YOU COULD DO SO MUCH! MOAR CONTENT!!! It's so within your reach as Bioware! You've done most of it before! There's no doubt in my mind it can be done again and I think it would be a fantastic investment into SWTOR. It's something I plead to you to consider! I leave this all as something for the devs and players to discuss and consider deeply. Speedy shutting up.
  9. BRING THEM BACK!!! PLEASE!!! Put them all under one package even... It'd be fitting with the whole Galactic Starfighter thing. People could be exploratory and want to check out the built in space missions - or maybe you wanna see the stars but just REALLY suck at PvP. While they may be monotonous the space missions are fun and a great source of XP and Fleet Comms. Worth the hour or two of runs. Being able to survive the heroics nearly requires the grade 7s and I'm more than happy to hand you my money to get them. It would be faster than trying to save the comms to get each one piece by piece (and still be missing one here and there). Also - why not consider perhaps creating some new Space Missions to go along with all this new KDY content and also that content in the near future involving the enemy faction attacks on the force origin worlds (Pubs on Korriban and Imps on Tython) You could make some pretty cool space missions I think involving the defense and/or assault of those planets/Kuat Drive Yards. You could even split them up into stages to make it more like part of the content's story. I think it'd be some great extra goodness to add to the new content and it would make this new KDY flashpoint seem a bit more important - because honestly, as of right now - it screams of haphazard filler content. Great idea for daily runs and grinding out experience and reputation and the changes in the progression are cool. However there's almost no story to it. No epic feeling. Other than the beginning cinematic. But the rest is just plain wiping out adds and a champ or two. I know that last part isn't exactly a CM suggestion, but it's something worth considering in the near future to really help expand the content.
