My position is that the companion correction was not game breaking in the slightest. Everything that could be soloed with uber-comps could still be soloed afterwards. Buffing healing did nothing to reduce the "grind" you are talking about as the same number of mobs still take the same amount of time to die. Come up with another argument because that one fails. My comment to Mr The-Game-Is-Broken up there was simply a result of my willingness to openly mock anyone who engages in ridiculous hyperbole. He is pro-nerf, btw.

Two paragraphs, 800 words. Pared it down to acceptable levels. Rated a 6 on the referral meter. Loss of a massive amount of orange gear, forcing the purchase of outfit slots, the continued emphasis on the CM along with the gutting of the packs, and the lack of anything to do at endgame other than grind influence all contributed to my rating. The story content is still top notch up to Makeb and is still worth playing beyond that point at least once on both factions. That is why I rated it as high as a six.

Yes, there was. And, other than ridiculing these obviously stupid suggestions of gimping ourselves because people refused to accept that you needed to progress your character before attempting to solo the H2+ SFs, I did not participate in it.

My highest companion is lv 24 influence. However, I do have Datacron Master, the Human Presence bonus and 5/8 class stories completed. I found the nerf to be no big deal. IMO, the best way to level influence right now is to buy the rank 6 gifts with common crystals or from the GTN.

Because of your ludicrous suggestion to disable companions, I lumped you into the group of vociferous forumites who stamped their feet and flung poo all over the place when BW corrected the companion power level in 4.0.2. To those people, the ones who screamed and cried "UNSUBBING!" because you couldn't stroll through the H2+ SFs anymore, the ones saying to dismiss, place on passive or otherwise devalue our companions if we feel too OP, I say that you could have simply did as those of us who could still solo H2+ SFs post-nerf did: get some gear, gather some datacrons and earn the power you need to accomplish that feat. After checking out your recent posts, I see that you were rather measured in your responses, besides the still ludicrous suggestion that players who have put in the time to gather gear and the necessary buffs to have good companions gimp or turn them off to artificially add difficulty to their game. My apologies.

Or, you could go and earn that stuff yourself if you wish to have uber-comps. Using a guide, you can get every datacron in the game in an afternoon, minus the Rishi ones as the disks do take some time to farm. It takes very little time to get a character to 50 with the new leveling process. Nothing about earning those buffs is difficult, it just takes some time.

You could have tried using all of your toon's abilities and earned some gear. That stuff has been in the game all along, no buff needed.

If you want story titles and achievements, start at level one and earn them.

Difficulty sliders like that will not work in a persistent shared world like an mmo. In order for this to work for SWToR, there would have to be separate servers for each type.

I am totally with you on this but I would make an exception for Dark Jaesa because she is so deliciously fun if she was not coming back as part of the story. My LS warrior couldn't care less about her because LS Jaesa is so boring.

The only mob that had a chance of killing me was one of the single saber Force Screaming Smash Monkey Paladins. The scream hits like a truck. Everything else melted and barely scratched me with Lana's newfound healing abilities. I never used Heroic Moment or Unity. I did pop personal cooldowns out of habit a couple of times but that's it. While not pants-on-head easy, it was definitely not challenging. The barrel/hilt farming will continue unabated.

I did not read the spoilers in this thread as I have not started the new stuff on my Jug. I will say this, though. He's already claimed her once. If he meets up with her again, he will reclaim his property and they will once again bask in their bloody glory together. If she isn't slated for return at all, I really would like to know so I can just get to that console and get her back that way. I wouldn't be happy about that but at least her ******* crazy beauty would once again be by the jug's side.
