  1. Because it's not as simple as going to the store, that's what the GTN is for. You're not telling them "Go get me X" you're telling them "Go to this location, talk to this guy, and bring back what ever you can." Read the little blurb they have for the missions. Look at the Sliced Tech Parts missions in Slicing, some of these sound like you're just getting what ever computer parts your companion didn't destroy to do the job, you can't really expect them to be picky about that can you? If they did put in the kind of thing you're asking for, we'd be more likely to wait an hour or more and possibly pay more.
  2. I do pick based on what class I have, cause the bonuses help. Are they a massive insane help? Not sure, but I'm the kind of guy who will take a .5% bonus and be happy. I also look at what I have on the server and try to spread the skills out so I can do as much on my own as possible.
  3. Awesome, thanks a bunch. Now I just need a list so I know when I have everything I need.
  4. Well at least that should make it easier and easier to find them. Thanks.
  5. You can get a crit when you buy a relic? To the OP, sorry this sucks you've gone through so many man, but it is RNG. Just like some people will get theirs first time, some people won't get theirs till try 1000. I know from experience that getting upset just compounds and makes every failure upset you more and more, the best thing you can do is just try to not get upset.
  6. There's Magenta schematics you can get. I can't remember what Crew Skill gives them though...you can always check the GTN. There's also some new ones you can get for daily coms, 20 each.
  7. I have Slicing and Underworld Trading. I want to look for any schematics I can with both. Stockpile some for alts, give others to friends, and sell repeats on the GTN. So how do I do this? Do I do -any- mission and they all have a chance to reward me with a schematic from that crew skill? Do certain mission types have better rates? Do I only get some schematics from certain mission types? Does moderate, rich, etc have an impact? And perhaps the most important question of all, is there a complete (or at least being worked on) list of what can be found with the various crew skills?
  8. Been trying to get on for the last half hour and can't get past load screen. EDIT: found this topic http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=390308 and this droid post
  9. Considering how easy it is to change the missions, I'd say it doesn't really bottleneck you, it just frustrates you.
  10. I have to say, picked up this game about a month ago and loving it. Love the story, love the game play, love everything. Crew Skills I thought were wonderfully done, with one exception. I hate how the missions you're given are random. When I need a certain thing, I often times have to zone in and out, log in and out several times until I get what I need. Why can't we just have a stable list? Not only does this random mission seem pointless, it's aggravating. I need power crystals and look! I will have nothing but color and artifact missions. A stable list that grows or changes as you level is all I ask.
  11. I'm looking around and spotting a lot of fan sites out there for this game already and wondering what the most popular ones are? When I was at WoW I could rely on the wiki, Wowhead, and mmo-champs for all my news and help in game. While I use Torhead for as much as I can, I'm getting overwhelmed by all the other sites and trying to find a nice central information place I could use. I'm also curious if there are any other sites out there that you use for specific information, like a popular site for class builds, or a good site dedicated to crew skills, etc.
  12. So...instead of just giving me a simple list of missions to have at all times, it gives me missions at random? Leaving me at the mercy of the RNG for what I need?
  13. So I have Archaeology, I am in need of Artifact Fragments for my Artifice crafting. According to Torhead, only the mission "Memoirs of a Crimelord" will give it to me, so clearly that's the mission I want to send my companion on. Why is it then, the only mission I want, isn't there most of the time? I'm only an 18 Consular, so I only have my C2-N2 and Qyzen Fess companions. I only send my C2-N2 out so I can keep the awesome Lizard with me for battle and convos. I don't understand why I don't have the mission I want more often. Is there something I'm mission about how the mission selection works? Please help!
