  1. I want to say that they are on Balmora or Belsavis - whichever one is the weapons factory planet where my GS just landed before I hit the road for work. Displaying them in preview was pretty buggy, but it seemed like one of them would make him larger! Has to be a bug, can anyone confirm?
  2. I would be annoyed, very annoyed. I like the VO, and if I'm not interested in a particular conversation, I can <space-bar> through it. That's why they put the option to do that in there in the first place. Silly Thread; No Donut for you.
  3. It's the Gree set of quests that gives you Black Bisector. My smuggler has just been doing space missions and story quests for the most part. When I went back to start collecting codex entries out of boredom I ran that series and got the moddable version from it. Did a minor /facepalm when I realized I could have been using it the whole time. He was wearing the "Gunslinger's Jacket" or whatever that you get from some heroic on Coruscant - which I like, but I like it better on my Sentinel. Having them both in the same jacket for a while was a little annoying though. Pretty sure my GS is wearing those same pants in the pic that spawned this question. I'm on the road for another several days, will have to post up screenies when I'm back home. I have one I really like from a datacron run on Alderaan (? the one where you ride the funky lift down to the island) in his old jacket. Edit:  I just realized how long this thread is, I'm sure that question's been answered several times by now. Heh.
  4. The answer to your question is Bowdaar.* * - As much as I miss Corso's color commentary, Bowdaar seems to do a better job of keeping mobs from rushing me. "Now you're dumb, ugly AND dead!" Classic.
  5. Agreed. I'm still pretty annoyed about it too, and I did that at least a couple weeks ago. Giving out that info in the codex entry was pretty weak, but shouldn't be too much of a surprise after spawning the mission. But spoiling the ending of act one regarding was just inexcusable from a story telling perspective. The smuggler has some of the best VO work in the game, and in general is just a damn entertaining character which makes this oversight even more glaring and sad. Easily one of the biggest story let-downs in this game (although so far, Act 2 is pretty lackluster for the smuggler, so that might end up trumping the codex spoiler, jury is still out since I haven't gotten very far into act 2 yet. They should move the Nok Drayen codex entry so that you don't receive it until finish the act. Or rewrite it so it doesn't spoil the rest of the Act that follows receiving it. At least then you learn his plans from him, and not some game mechanic.
  6. Xal'azijj Used the random name generator (which really seems more like a list than a random generator) and then rubbed some style on it.
  7. That struck me as weird to. Even weirder is the belt my Sent currently wears, which is basically a giant butt shield.
  8. Hmm, had to read most of the thread to remember who this was; ya, he spanked me at first because I was just treating it like a plain old elite encounter. Part of the problem with this encounter is that most of the game prior to him is easy-mode, so the insta-spank that can occur if you aren't ready for it can be a bit of a shock. All it took was a rez, a little forethought, and solid timing. Got him on the second try, but IIRC it was a close fight. Kira was somewhat undergeared, and so was I, if I am honest. No shame in using Heroic Moment folks, that's why it's there. ekimmak , your signature just made my day! I love when stuff like that happens in game.
  9. Effing Signed. Love that thing on my GS. Doesn't look too bad with the red one that I got as a reward on ... um .. I want to say Tatooine. But man, would love the dual Colt look.
  10. The only MMO that ever held my attention for more than a few days/months ****-canned the trinity model (it could be followed if you wanted, but that was basically doing the game wrong). If it weren't for being a Star Wars game, I doubt I would have picked this one up. Got kinda tired of the trinity long long ago. Ditching it doesn't mean players can't find roles, it just means those roles are more fluid.
  11. At the risk of sounding mono-dimensional, I pretty much exclusively DPS in the rather few MMOs I've given more than just a cursory look. I have support alts, but my usuall thing with a game is to fiddle around with options, find the DPS I like best, then obsess over it. It's mostly for the catharsis. Spending some time smashing faces in game after a long commute in crappy traffic is just what I need to wind down. Having said that, I also find it just more fun than rolling my support alts. I do love a good CC toon from time to time, but I never quite got the hang of healing so I tend to avoid those so I don't screw up teams by being a tardhealer. Tanking I find interesting, but more as a mentality than a class. I guess I'd rather just lay waste to my enemies in a nice, straight-forward, my weapon -> your face kinda way.
  12. Wanawanga. That would be nice, but I'd settle for just being able to name my damn ship. Seriously. Even if no one ever sees it but me. Count me as one of the "very few" players who want more Space based content in my "Space Opera" video game.
  13. Yeah, I've been doing class quests on my GS and noticed that as well. I'm on the road right now and couldn't remember which one was end/cunning and which was cunning/end (higher buff first). MMOPVP has never been a strong point of mine, so haven't tried using that for gear while leveling. The answer about "seeking out better gear" makes the most sense. Parity between the AC oriented mods shouldn't affect crafters that much; you can't get purple hilts from a comm vendor, for example and the vendors at different planet levels seem to offer different varieties of items (Sooooo many vendors with no Might/Skill armoring at all). I got pretty bent about it on my Sent around Taris and started building purple hilts while leveling. Once I get him to 50 (holding off on the last 3 levels while a buddy catches up) I'm sure a whole new gearing mini-game starts up.
  14. I'm sure someone has asked about this before, but what's with the weird item availability in Comm vendors? Consistently, "Dps" hilts and barrels are always 1 level lower than the alternate for a given class (Might vs. Guardian and so on). And in the EXTREMELY RARE event Might armoring is available, it is also 1 level lower than Guardian armor. The armor thing, fine - but why can't we get the weapon mod levels balanced out?
