  1. I'll head back to Nar Shaddaa to see if I missed something. It seems I must have loking over the replys. Thanks for your input.
  2. I'm leveling a jedi shadow and I'm just into level 22 on Tatooine. It appears I'm 1 1/2 levels behind and I completed the quests on the other worlds. I noticed I was a level behind when I got to Nar Shadaa. I only skipped a few bonus portions of quests that said "kill 45 xxxxx" (because they were bugged), this alone should not put me behind this far. I did not have this problem on my Sith character. The other part that bothers me is that there is no other planets that have the same levels. It appears that they created exactly the amount of zones and quests needed to get you to level up and no extra. Am i supposed to grind out what I'm behind? Other games solved this problem by having multiple zones with the same level of quests. How could this have been looked over? You need ____ xp to level to the next zone, the supplied quests should be more then adequate to cover it but they're not. Back to grind I guess.
  3. You're computer is not too dissimilar to mine. AMD Phenom IIx4 965 - 3.4Ghz 8gb DDR3 1300 AMD Radeon 6870 1gb ram (very similar specs to your GTX 560) http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=635&card2=657 I sit at about 60 to 80 fps at fleet (prime time). Usually higher in the game environment. Alot have complained about gets some lag spikes but you're saying it's constant 20-30's in PVP? I'd be interested to know how hard your computer is working. While playing my processor is ~50% and GPU is ~65% on average. I'm going to check my numbers again in PVP just to see how it compares. Not that I'm an expert at this stuff but with such a similar setup I don't seem to have your issues.
  4. Others mentioned these but... Can't board ship w/o leaving the planet. Camera auto rotates to center when moving forward. Some LONG loading screen times. GTN. Who came up with this pile of shi* UI. I can't craft things myself. I'm part of the crew... right? The sit on the ground animation.
  5. I'm lvl 28 on a PVP server but have not seen a single Republic player yet. When do we start sharing quest areas?
  6. Yea, I play for about that long because after the kids go to bed I have about 4 hours till my bed time. It would be interesting to know how long people play depending on the time of day.
  7. That's interesting but only addresses one mentioned idea to make the game feel more expansive. Like the OP said and I also mention. Having to travel around the globe to other zones to do some questing would not be hard. I know when playing this game I am not the only people thinking "where is the rest of the planet?". I guess better is the enemy of good enough to get your money.
  8. I don't think what the OP is asking for is unreasonable and you don't have to model the entire planet. Here's what you so. You keep the main quest zones/cities that you have now but like he was saying have other zones that you have to travel to that show they are on other parts of the planet. They don't have to be major cities, just outposts or small villages with some quests. There are already a lack of quests imo so this would be nice to see. Even if you expanded the zones across large expanses you don't have to have fine detail everywhere. It's like living anywhere, you drive outside the town limits it gets rural, less features and more barren compared to the starting area. This would take relatively little time to model and create an expansive feel to the areas/game instead of being caged to a small zone on an entire planet. I think even having large expanses between faction areas would be a bit more realistic then the example the OP mentioned. Having a Republic questing zone a long speeder ride across a large expanse from a Empire questing zone would give a better feel of realism to the world as a whole.
  9. That is sad. I have always liked AMD processors better, they never did me wrong. Maybe it's just me but I've had bad luck with Intel. Even when AMD started falling behind in the advancement of CPU technology I've always stuck with them.
  10. DON'T get a computer from best buy! Few months ago I got a nice PC from Newegg with a AMD Phenom II x4 965 (3.4ghz), 4gb Ram, and a PCI-E video card for $600 bucks. It ran SWTOR Max settings 30-45 fps unless I was in a few select areas that brought it down unusually low. I just spent another $200 bucks on some more ram/better card and am running 60-100+fps depending on the area. TLDR: You can get a great PC for well within your budget if you DON'T go to best buy. Return it if you got one!
  11. When fighting I spam the action I want to use next. Because of this I see a Wall of red "not enough rage" or "ability not ready" or whatever it says. WoW had like 3 lines of this so no big deal. This game has like 10 lines of it. Is there a way to turn it off or reduce it down. You can't even see what you're fighting with that wall of text in the way. Thanks
  12. I'm not sure of your class/faction but I know when I was leveling I got a quest to go to a level 20-24 planet when I was only lvl16. I had one quest that took me to the proper planet I missed apparently. I figured it out eventually and was redirected to the proper 16-20 zone. Maybe you missed something that would allow you to level more in an appropriate zone.
  13. I expected the option to target the nearest enemy when I don't already have a target. Like when killing a group of enemies one dies you can just continue attacking the next guy without tab targeting or click targeting. I never would expect to auto attack an untargeted enemy just because it's closer then my selected target. If I'm the only person with the problem it may just be me or my settings not the game.
  14. I think I do have auto target on. I wonder if that may be messing things up. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the replys.
  15. No tab involved. Once I distinctly know I targeted the left side mob on a group of 3 and I leaped to the far right mob. When I landed I was out of melee range to the original targeted enemy that was still targeted. I'll try to fraps it even though it's just one thing on the pile of larger bugs.
  16. I was playing last night and noticed when I hit Force Leap it does not always take me to the targeted enemy. It seems to take me to the closest enemy even if I have a different target selected. Once I even leaped to a group slightly behind me off to the side. Happened several times last night, never noticed this before. Anyone else having issue?
  17. Copying features =/= copy the entire game. Ignore the point because it makes you sound smarter.
  18. This argument does not hold water. When you are in development of a game that has fewer features then the #1 game currently on the market COPY THEM AND ADD MORE. You don't see any other market that comes out with sub-par features on a new item. With your logic every MMO will take years to get to where WoW is thus making no forward progress in MMO development. The entire game was not written the first day of development, the concept should have progressed with the evolution of the "gold standard" of MMOs. I don't play WoW anymore because it's content is dried up. SWTOR has original content/story but is years behind in every other area.
  19. I've been playing for about 2 weeks and after getting to level 10 on my first character I thought the game was almost unplayable because of the clunky control feel. Many other small things annoyed me such as auto panning camera, mouse to movement delay (that cannot be adjusted without hyperspeeding mouse), facial features not being attached or moving with the character when talking and so on. I expected a game better or on par with WoW features/controls. I was a little disappointed after completing the Balmorra quest lines (empire side) and not having zone phasing showing you took over the compound. I understand that WoW didn't have it originally but it is such an impressive way of enforcing the storyline, it would have been the perfect place for it. I do think this game gets you involved in the story far better then WoW ever did. The voice acting makes you feel more into the game as opposed to just cycling through text to find kill X number of X mob. You can follow the story of what is going on, there is a continuing purpose. I mentioned earlier the clunky control feel. I tried a few classes to level 10 and found one that feels most fluid to me and stuck with it. That combined with the story makes this a unique and enjoyable game setting aside what I expected it to have because of playing WoW for 6+ years.
  20. I'll start off saying I'm new to this game. During leveling I picked a mix of light and dark answers depending on what I felt at the time. Then I realized I can get stuff based on based on what side I was. I wasted about 1500 points worth of progress because of this. I'm level 20 now and was wondering if it would impact my character in a negative way later due to mixed bag of light and dark decisions such as not being able to get better gear weapons or messing up the storyline. Thanks
