  1. Where did you get this schematic? My Arms Gunslinger has been sending comps out on investigation missions repeatedly for days and only gotten the assault cannon, techblade and techstaff recipes over and over.
  2. Why did we finally get the ability to change our UI and save those settings locally, but still can't save all the other general/keybinding settings? Every time I make a new character I gotta stop and redo all my regular settings and it's really annoying for people like me. Great, now it only takes me 3 seconds to update the UI. But then it makes me feel worse about the hundred other settings I gotta change manually.
  3. I came from CoH as well. Large raids were very well led by group leaders who targeted what needed targeting, and the group simply had to target the group leader and stay in range to attack whatever he attacked, and heal him as needed. I was amazed this new game did not have a simple feature already used by much older games.
  4. The whole gtn interface is pretty weak imo. I don't remember WoW's being bad, and coming from CoH the auction house interface left nothing to wonder about. You knew all about supply and demand for every item going through. Being the latest gen mmo, I expected a lot more than what we have.
  5. OK great, at least I have some options here, thanks. I was at a total loss and thought I'm just too stupid to understand this CLEVER system.
  6. Ok this has been really bothering me. I need gemstones, so I go to send companions out to get them, and all my treasure hunting options are gifts and lockboxes. Seriously, ***? Why would this even be part of the deal and is there a way to get the materials I need without hoping the missions I need are available when I need them?
  7. I'm curious about the priority of crits and power. I'm no expert and I haven't done all the work you did here to get your info and this guide really helped me get my sent/watchman to 50. But now as I try to optimize gear I'm wondering if crit shouldn't be higher. It's my impression that Zen gives 100% crit bonus to burning attacks, and to me thats the DoT's. From what I've seen using Cauterize with or without Zen the initial hits are the same, as would be any other normal attack. Again, Cauterize without Zen: a normal initial hit, followed by high and low ticks of DoT. Cauterize after Zen: a normal initial hit followed by all high ticks of DoT. Granted, Watchman is a DoT build, but while the DoT's are going I'm also hitting him with whatever else I have in my arsenal as well. Wouldn't crit then be as important as other classes?
  8. Here's what I use: http://steelseries.com/us/products/keyboards/steelseries-merc-stealth Really helps with WASD setups. Not that expensive either. Got mine at Best Buy
  9. Well, that's not because their medic is flawed. My Sent/doc never had a problem with any of the class quests, even the final one. I played a Sage to 25 and didn't like it, but I can say that Jedi's are a tiny bit trickier than other classes so I'm betting they needed help for other reasons than faulty companions.
  10. I used Doc all the way to 50 on my Knight and loved it. I have my trooper to 40 so far, and tried to change up a couple times with different companions but once I used Elara with equivalent Aim/power/alac gear as I did I never seem to suffer damage. I agree with the posts that say they're all the same. I'm sure they all glitch once in a while under certain situations but overall I think pet AI has come a long way and I'm pretty happy with my little medic. I might add to check and make sure she's set to Medwatch mode. I didn't at first and took me a while to figure out what was wrong with her.
  11. I read this a couple levels before my Sent/Watchman hit 50 and was real nervous about taking this on. I'm not a pro player and I dont have everything bound to keys. I solo only and have my powers setup in a lineup so I can finger hit the first few above my movement keys then mouse clicky whatever else I think I need at the time, so I just wing it most the time. As I level I'm usually poor. I gear up with what I win. And by that I try to do it smartly. I use any orange equipment I get, and keep track of what mods I have on a sheet, and whenever I finish a mission I either pick a better mod, if offered, that is better than my worst one or commendations, and use those to get whatever I need after finishing a planet. This method keeps me in better gear than any green or most blues I loot while fighting. I don't buy anything but I'm constantly sending all my companions out gathering to build better hilts, enhancements, etc. When I finished Corellia I had made myself 2 lvl 50 purple hilts, and use commendations to buy lvl 50 blue mods/armoring for all my equipment. Enhancements were blue but from mid 40's since I upgraded them. I base my gear on Strength/Power, then Surge. I use Might armoring, Deft B mods, and Adept enhancements. I was almost broke when I started at Corellia, but by the end when I hit 50 I had about 450k just from fighting and selling any mats I didn't use crafting. I spent about half of that buying all the lvl 50 power upgrades and giving in to buy T7 a green/blue mods on GTN for the Emperor's fight, but he was in no way in top form. I watched some YouTube vids of people killing the Emp and they made it look real easy. One in particular was a Combat Sent. I almost reset my skill tree to train it but figured I'd give it a try. I fought my way up to the emp, T7 almost dead at the end of each fight. I used Strike a lot to build up focus for the Emp. I hit a strength stim. I setup my Force Stasis and Kick next to each other to keep my interrupts handy. I set the Emp as my focus target, held my breath, and dove in. The fight was over in about 2 minutes. I basically just mashed my burns as much as possible on the Emp, hitting Stasis and Kick whenever I saw him cast, but I'm not smart enough to tell you what powers I was interupting. When the clones gathered up I spammed Cyclone Slash (NOT Force Sweep) a few times and they cleared out pretty fast. When there was only one mob left I just kept hitting more burns and slashes and poof, he was sitting on his throne with a green dot over his head. I don't know when T7 died but all in all it was pretty easy. No pillars, LOS kiting or anything. Just kept on him, used cyclone on the adds, and hit interrupts whenever I saw him cast, but never took my eye off him or gave him a second to breath.
  12. Looking for input on what pieces people use on their equipment. I have my sent/watchman to 45 and so far been putting str, power, surge pieces in my sent and cunning, power, alacrity into Doc. I do this mainly because it seems the stock gear the rewards tend to give lean that way and I also read that crit has diminishing returns, so power seems the better stat. But its hard to tell in a fight what's doing what. I don't have any real problems playing this way but I'm only about a month into the game and wonder what kind of gear others use. At these higher levels my artifice is 400 now and the different combos of enhancement are mind boggling. I been going with Adepts for me and quick.savants for Doc. Always looking for improvement.
  13. I wouldn't mind seeing a que for gathering but I actually like the longer times higher level than the earlier ones. I couldn't get anything done without having to stop and resend companions out over and over and was glad to finally have them away long enough to play my main without disruption. But a que would take care of that too. I went for the purples in my 20's but find it easier to just get the blue crit version I like. My blaster upgrades every 4 levels, just long enough to start gathering, pump out a gun and RE one by one til I get the blue schematic I want, and after popping out a few of them I get a couple crit's to use. If I'm lucky I get a purple from the regular ones I RE to get a crit but I don't wait for it.
  14. My GS has been working up his armstech and when I RE up to the blues I cant decide version to go with, the +crit or the +power. I've tried each, but I can't really tell since as you gain levels and new powers and new mob my style changes a little all the time. Not sure if I'm just getting better at playing or if the difference in the guns make it easier. I know there might be some min-maxer's here that could fiure it out.
