  1. Greetings! So...we're about to get strongholds of our own on Nar Shaddaa and the home planets. Is there a point to them? Do they do something? They sound pretty useless to me. Am I missing something?
  2. It is much easier to use them if you get the component that lowers the lock on time.
  3. I play on the Bastion. First fights, We stomped the Imps into the ground. Then I upgraded my ship a few too many times and got bumped up into the higher bracket, where apparently all the people who know how to play really well are. Then we got stomped into the ground. Played two matches yesterday for the daily, and on both, it was very close until the Imps came from behind and won by a hair. It's stabilizing. Oh, and all Republic ships look better than all Imp ships. All the galaxy's fashion designers went to the dark side, but all the good engineers work for the Republic.
  4. I have self destructed twice, I believe. Both times were accidental. My last match, however, sported two imps that destructed before I killed them. I finished that match with zero kills and a bunch of assists. I suppose it balances out. It is annoying, but not really much else.
  5. Greetings! So... we've been playing for a while and we have our favored ships, I'm sure. What is your favorite, and what are you working towards? Personally, I love the Republic Strike Fighters. Right now I'm stuck in a Star Guard, but I'm working my way to a Pike.
  6. I'm doing fairly well in Starfighter, but I've been playing combat flight sims for most of my life. The most difficult thing for me to get used to was the controls. With practice, the skill level of everyone will improve and things will stabilize. But yes, like everything else, some people are just naturally better than others.
  7. I fly strike fighters and keep trying to hit people with missiles. Out of something like 20 attempts, I've gotten lock on people two or three times. It takes forever to get a lock on someone. Don't travel in straight lines and you'll probably never get hit by missiles.
  8. Apparently Twileks originally could not have kids with humans, but have been retconned to be able to. Not sure about looks, though.
  9. I fly strike fighters. I assume my concussion missiles are tracking weapons. I have to charge up a reticle. I just can't get it to fire once it seems to be locked on.
  10. And then what? I've done that. I've held down right click and seen the targeting reticule come up, but neither letting go, nor right clicking again, nor simply holding the right click down causes a missile to fire.
  11. Scourge was never under the Emperor's mental control. As far as the Emperor knew, Scourge was completely loyal and needed no mind control. The Jedi he actually mind controls are different. Aside from what's his name who actually thinks the Emperor is right, the only time anyone but the Knight (who is, as all player characters are, the chosen one and is told he's special) breaks away from the Emperor's control is when you've beat them within half an inch of their life. Even Kira, who is also said to be special, is not special enough to risk going back to him.
  12. I expected this to be rather blah. I figured I'd try it, then get back to doing something else. It's won me over, though. I actually do like it. And the Republic actually has some halfway decent looking fighters, too. I still think it would have been a better idea to let us use our ships, but this is fun too.

  14. I HATE that tentacle-head. I hated her on Taris, and I could not believe they made her Chancellor. It really galls me to have to be polite to her in the end game. I know, I know. I don't actually have to, but she is the Chancellor, and my characters are like that.
  15. Perhaps she sold them and sent you the money. Remember that she was on Tython when she was getting stuff for you and that Tython gear sells very cheaply.
  16. Maybe the Emperor doing mind control on every person he meets in the flesh at the end of chapter 2 isn't enough? Yes, it is a bit subtle, but there is that hint.
  17. Ever since I started seeing things about Galactic Starfighter I've been thinking the same thing: Why can't we just use our ships? That would have been incentive for me to dust off my old smuggler instead of deleting him.
  18. I actually thought it was very cool to have the Jedi Knight Finale on Dromund Kaas. And the content was already there, they just yanked all the civilians out, put up some barriers to keep you on track, and plopped down some enemies to keep it from being boring. Besides, is the Emperor really likely to go to Corellia when he's already weakened?
  19. I was disappointed at the Foundry story. Yes, I played KOTOR and yes, I am a Revan fan. The novel also left me...strangely unsatisfied. But what I dislike the MOST about the Foundry is that HK-47 is way harder to kill off than Revan was. My groups have wiped at HK several times (especially when healer won't freaking HEAL!) but I've never wiped at Revan. What I like about the Foundry is the Miraluka Jedi Revan has seeded through the place. I usually make a joke about how they must be the "good twins" of my Miraluka Sith.
  20. We don't need an easy mode for story missions. They're already unbelievably easy at times. I would, however, be open to a "Hard" mode.
  21. They took what was in essence Force Lift as it appears in the game and made it a Damage ability. This is exactly like making a Flash/Bang grenade (stun) turn into a damage over time attack. Stun abilities should not be made into damage abilities. Though again, I do understand why they did it. That does not make me like changing the basic nature of an ability.
