  1. Here's why I'm cancelling my subscription: the only reason it's not already cancelled is Blizzard will take you off the forums if you unsubscribe, and I wanted this message to be seen for a little while before I went, just in case Bioware does the same. So I'm playing SWTOR and enjoying it. I've got two toons on the same server, one Imp and one Repub. Yesterday, I'm playing the Sith Warrior, who happens to have that "vile lightsaber" something or other, tuned to "Dark 1" or better.(I'm too mad right now to even go back to the game to check what it is). Now the setup is I'm playing the SW as (and it's going to sound a little la-de-dah but the choices are there in the game, so I wanted to fool with them a little) is sort of Lucifer before the fall - basically an honorable man, if a little cruel sometimes, but also vain enough not to let Sith corruption show on his face for more than a little while. So, I'm playing things not too Dark Side, not too Light Side. So - I get to Nar Shadaa and to be nice, let a few Republic soldiers go free, since I didn't really have a quarrel with them, just their leader. The red armor flashing goes off on my portrait, telling me that I "no longer meet the requirements" to use the lightsaber. I go on the web and look around, and sure enough, the orange lightsaber no longer gives me any stat bonuses, and when I unequipped the lightsaber and tried to put it back on, it would no longer allow me to do so. Sorry Bioware. I EARNED that weapon, with sub money and time spent in the game. I'll be goddamned if I will continue to give you money to deny me the use of something I earned because of an arbitrary rule in the game. The flaming (or alternately, thread moving) may now start.
  2. Why not both weapons and ships getting a bit of text that only the player sees? It's not like anybody else can see the ship we use or the blaster we hold.
  3. FINALLY broke through this. I guess the lessons to take away from this are: 1) If possible do it the right way and drop Hixan first, then worry about the Sith. 2) If you do it the wrong way like I did, have Bowdarr ready as companion. Get in a few damages to Hixan, then concentrate on healing Bowdarr/interrupting Hixan, letting the Jedi and Bowdarr bring down the HP. Try to keep Bowdarr alive as long as possible (he'll die eventually). When he dies, Hixan will hopefully have about 1/6 of his top HP, and you and the Jedi, can slowly take him from there, using interrupts as much as possible. Last thing - don't forget to take the damn computer you were sent there for in the first place before you leave! It's off in the alcove to the side, near where this fight takes place.
  4. Maybe it's a matter of timing - are you saying I must make sure to interrupt exactly when he pushes the button?
  5. Still is bugged in my opinion - went in there and managed to off the sith no prob. Hixan offs Corso, and I think that I should have no problem taking Hixan down without Corso. After all I have a Jedi along with. The problem is Hixan becomes immortal. My interrupts don't help the Jedi take him down. Fighting him directly doesn't work because he just heals up again. When I put in my ticket 2 days ago to the devs, I had sat and watched the Jedi and Hixan fight themselves to a standstill FOR FIFTEEN FRIKKIN' MINUTES. Yesterday night, I logged in again as my smuggler and THEY WERE STILL FIGHTING! Hoping the devs will have an answer for me tonight when I log in.
  6. I got a Gunslinger's Prototype Jacket as a quest reward for Republic's Most Wanted last night. My first Orange piece of armor. I wanted to post links to images, but this forum is crashing Safari right now. I did find it on torhead, though, with an image.
  7. Unfortunately, it's not an orange belt. I'm going to keep my eye out for one that is though.
  8. Howsabout some love for the belts? This is a Cerean Wraidskin Belt - torhead doesn't have the adjective in front of wraidskin on any of the belts, so I don't know if these will show up at all. Yes that tube thingy is part of the belt. I also like how the guy who's supposed to be sneaking around has bright LEDs on his belt. http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj552/tomberna/CereanWraidskinBeltfront.jpg http://i1267.photobucket.com/albums/jj552/tomberna/CereanWraidskinBeltback.jpg
  9. If I recall, I got it from 14 Coruscant Commendations yesterday (at work, not sure).
