  1. It's not griefing when *you* get a reward for it happening to you. Seriously, you benefit from it and you still complain? This si what's wrong with people these days.
  2. Except it's not PvP griefing. it's completing a quest and enjoying an event. You are penalized in no way by them doing it to you. You are killed after 20 minutes, suffer no damage to gear, and earn a currency that is being sold for a decent chunk of credits. You can easily complete all those 'PvE' missions and be off the fleet before you die from it the first time. And then you're off the social hub and away from it. Wow, inconvienced by having to use your on the spot rez *once* to earn currency that's selling for 10k+ creds by most accounts. QQ MOAR that you're beign given free creds!!
  3. So they 'splode, then go sell the DNA and then they can afford many vaccines. I don't see the problem? It's easy free creds for new players and introduces them to the fact that events that impact normal gameplay happen. What solo PvE is available on the Fleet? If you want to avoid it, then go participate in the game, not standign in a social hub that you know is going to gather people together to infect each other for currency.
  4. All this right here is why this event is perfectly fine. You suffer no death penalties and it doesn't disrupt important NPC's. You can buy the cure, or just endure it and then rez on the spot. If you die to it, you get 5 DNA samples that you can easily sell to others. It's like complainign that people are handign you credits. It's harmless fun, so enjoy it. I'd rather they continue doing random events to keep the game lively and fun then people QQ over somethign stupid and they stop doing them.
  5. I sympathize with you, OP and other Razer buyers. Though I'm also kinda glad. See, all the razer products offered weren't wroth the money to get for me. The mouse is inferior to a Naga... I already have a surround sound headset that works wonderfully, and I use a Belkin n52te in addition to my Naga... I don't use a keyboard to play, just to type. So I'm glad I can finally get the color crystal without having to drop a couple of hundred dollars for stuff I don't really need. But I do sympathize with you guys... it's just like when the VIP lounge got opened up to anyone with a million credits (because that takes so long to get... especially now with all the new dailies). But, unfortunately, Bioware has shown themselves willing to give in to whiners (opening the VIP lounge because people were jelly and felt they weren't VIP's; extending the free month to Legacy Level 6 - which is easy as hell to get; and nerfing the crap out of several classes that didn't need it - only one I supported was the rearranging of Sorc talents... though they didn't need to nerf all their heals). Unfortunately, that's the way things seem to be headed and I won't be surprised if all the exclusive CE contents and the CE store items are made available as well. Players whine enough and it will happen.
  6. He was a centipede trained in the ways of the Force. He used the 40 lightsaber style... Grievous had nothing on him
  7. Absolutely nothing except that I don't believe your pics are of live retail. The amount of stuff you have in general suggests that it's very unlikely, though possible. The stuff in yoru bnak you show no real evidence for what level it is other then one thing that is a recipe. Obvious photoshopping is the mutliple GTN windows open withotu the search funtionality visable. But further hints would be to the little question mark icon next to the right side toolbar. Even if they are real, the majority of the stuff shown in the GTN (the only stuff that is confirmable that it's actually high level stuff) is crafted. I'm already a 400 Armstech capable of making some of that stuff and I'm only level 40. I still personally don't think it's the live version of the game considering your considerable anti-SWTOR post history.
  8. I'm just under or just past the 100 hour mark (4days, 4 hours), and I'm only 40. Perhaps you should have taken the time to smell the roses and enjoy the content of the game. I"m sorry that you fail to understand how launched games work. If you power level through a games launch, you hit the end, have nothing to do except farm, and wiat aroudn for tohers to hit cap. THere is a reason I'm taking my time, it's so I can hit cap and have people to actually play with. Hell, even taking my time, there is only one person in my guild ahead of me and he's past the 130 hours mark and not 50 yet. So slow down, chillax, and enjoy the game.
  9. Once you learn them, they'll appear in the missions lists for it's level range at the very bottom (so far for me anyway) and have an unlocked lock symbol on them. They'll also say their yield is Prosperous or Wealthy.
  10. That's correct. The blue versions don't promise purple materials. However, both are useful and provide a very substanial amount of resources. An additional note, if your skill has missiosn for two different things, it will often provide both. For instance, my purple Discovered Investigation Missions provide Companion Gifts, 6-8 Blue Materials, and 2-4 Purple Materials. Occassionally I get a mission discovery or schematic as well.
  11. Biometric Crystal Alloy (or whatever it's called, at work so not in game to check), is dropped from Heroic Flashpoint Bosses and Regular Mode Operation bosses. Think Nether Vortexes or Frozen Orbs from WoW. And just like those craftign items, they're BoP at release/start of the expansion to slow down the availaility of said items. This isn't anythign new, so I don't understand why people are QQ'ing.
  12. WHich is why they've already announced new content planned for early next year, right?
  13. I believe we can. I'll have to check when I get, but I'm pretty sure I have a orange techblade recipe. It requires Heroic Flashpoint dropped mats though. Same with the other skill 400 orange weapons they can make.
  14. My Armstech IS 400 without slicing, thank you very much. It's how I know what I can and can't make and how much I can sell it for. I sell purple quality level 37 Assult Cannons at 60k+ depending on the stats on it. Believe it or not, making credits isn't hard at all, and crafting is amazing easy considering the fact that you can skill up purely on green schematics if you choose to.
  15. You know, unti lthe economy balances out, more people are 50, and I'm charging you slicers 500k for barrels, orange weapons, and purple weapons, right? More money in the economy means crafters will charge more because the market supports it. Additionally, you slicers will have to purchase anythign you need from the gatherers and crafters, which means material prices will go up as well. You can't judge the effects of somethign o nthe economy less then a month after launch when most peoplee aren't using the GTN yet. Let the economy become established and then proper metrics can be gathered on how OP slicing is.
  16. I've heard you can do it with a reciep that started Blue then RE into a Purple, then RE that Purple into a second tier (Prefix) Purple. No idea about the ones that start Purple though.
  17. All or your stuff requires it? I'll ahve to double check when I get home, but I'm pretty sure as an Armstech only my Moddable weapons require the Biometric Crystal Alloy. Everythign else can be crafted with the standard materials. Seems a bit unbalanced if my memory is servign me correctly (which it might not be and if I'm wrong, another Armstech si more then welcome to confirm/deny ).
  18. Not sure about Cybertech (beleive they make the earpieces, correct?), but for Armstech each green recipe can be RE'd into three different blue recipes. These three blue recipes cna each be RE'd into FIVE different purple recipes... each one with different stats on them.
  19. Yes, it just takes more time, effort, and possibly credits. Crafted purple weapons have relatively decent material costs and pretty good stats. To get a Moddable peice to the same stats, you will need to find a Cybertech with the purple mods for your stats and an Artificer with purple enhancements and color crystals for your stats. Havign your custom look = more effort. Where as you can take the pre slotted stuff's are established stats, but are subject to how they look. EDIT: All of that is assumign you can craft your own weapon and make the proper purple barrel/hilt as well. If not, then you will need to find an Armstech/Artificer that can make the appropriate purple barrel/hilt with your stats on it
  20. In reference to the Presence/Defense as the ponus stat, you do realize for each initial green recipe there are 3 blue versions and 15 purple versions, right? Do some more RE'ing until you get the decent ones
  21. I've heard people say they have. I haven't had the luck of obtaining any pre 50 orange recipes, so all of mine require Heroic FP drops so I can't confirm or deny. However, people have said that tehy have gotten crit procs on orange gear.
  22. /facepalm making up numbers prove nothing. Last I checked, the level 50 speeder trainign was between 300-350k, and the speeders are 55k... so ~355-405k. The only speeder I've seen costing 1.5M is the one at the VIP store. Though I do agree, that slicign is far from needed even when constantly running mission skills. The time the higher missiosn take to run leaves you plenty of time to make the meager 2-5k you spend on them. The only one that's come close to costing 5k tok 2.5 hours to complete. If you can't make 5k in 2.5 hours, you're eitehr sitting in a city /afk'ing... or doing something very wrong like farming low level mobs.
  23. You're actually missing the very point. I'm a 400 Armstech. I have every purple barrel schematic up to 20. But That barrel does me absolutely NOTHING other then keep my damage current. My purple quality [Leadership Rampage-X Assualt Cannon (Superior)] has the same damage as the Orange cannon with purple Advanced Reflex Barrel 16... but no commendation vendor provides the mods to equal the rest of the stats. My Leadership purple I CRAFTED has +Aim, +Endurance, +Crit, and +Alacrity... I just left Balmorra and none of the mods available with commendations had Alacrity on them. And the crit I could get from them, was still short of equalling what was on the Leadership. If you want a Custom Weapon/Armor to match the CRAFTED weapons and armor, you have to go to a Cybertech. That is why Cybertech has the mods, and why Armormechs don't need the Armor mod. You cna craft a whole set of Purple quality armor that is top of the line without it. A whole set. Armstechs get barrels because we can only fill in two slots of gear, and the barrels help us make up for that lack of slotting.
  24. So we can all play on outdated systems? No thanks, I'll keep my PC and enoy gamign with modern technology.
  25. I've seen those boxes. Don't they mention havign the chance to contain rare PvP items? I'd say it's worth a shot, atleast.
