  1. Currently people can farm one flashpoint of uprising or chapter all day. Just select, queue and do it. Repeat. Profit. Now what happens if they cant run them repeatedly but rather have to wait to run it again? Lets say something between 15-30minutes? In that time you can run several others but cant farm the easiest all day for the least amount of time spent and highest reward per hour gained.
  2. This will reduce the symptoms but not cure the patient. Players will simply move to another more beneficial uprising and chapter. All you have to do is make sure it takes longer for the easiest uprising/chapter and keep it in line with others regarding the reward. Nerfing the rewards only makes things go south. People will stop running those uprisings/chapters alltogether and move on to more rewarding things. If the rewards dont match the time involved, people get frustrated and stop playing until there is something in the game that is actually rewarding. Or just make a timer for each chapter and uprising so people cant farm them. Also problem solved. Nerfing rewards isnt necessary! But this reveals a bigger problem which you are ignoring. You rather nerf peoples fun and rewards but dont fix bugs. You certainly got your priorities straight there.
  3. Odd that all latest nerfs "accidently" didnt make it into patch notes. Its like you are trying to hide something and take the community for fools. Maybe let us know BEFORE a patch like several days BEFORE, not a week AFTER you tried to hide it by using the old accidental oversight excuse. You literally have no credibility left here.
  4. Actually we have had many items on direct sale that were previously only available from packs. The difference with the arbiter lightsaber is that its a platinum item. No other reason is there to justify this insane pricetag. They didnt care about other items and their market value but this item is different? Hypocrites much?
  5. Its just a way to get money from one place to another. Price and market manipulation. In the end it only created diversity, hostilities among players. Such features are actually anti-social features. But "ITS EXCITING". What kind of bastard creates a game so people can have fun and then introduces features that incite players against each other? Sounds like a god complex. Create platinum items just to have some really, really ultra rare items that are no different when used than any other item, watch how the market treats these items... Uhm... I think it would kill the price of that item when everyone can just buy it for a few bucks instead of selling half their soul for it. The ziost saber cost something between 1.500 and 2.000 CC. I bought one for myself and one to sell. Took me 3-4 months of saving for it. These days it costs 9mil upwards. The arbiter saber on the other hand would take 15 months of saving CC. Thexans saber (gold) costs 5mil upwards on my server. 500 CC on the cartel market. When it comes to outfits, the quality of the item doesnt necessarily reflect its popularity or "value" players assign to it. Imagine the items wouldnt have rarity levels. No bronze, silver, gold or platinum. Just cartel market items. Would that change the actual value of the item for players that like the way these items look? No. Because the demand will be the same. They might aswell just unlock all those items, get rid of packs and let people buy the items directly like we can now. Its just players buy the armors at a slightly reduced price than now but more people would buy from the market and be happy to get the desired items instead of juggling with the GTN. But hey, one can dream to get reasonable devs in MMOs...
  6. It wont affect the market tho. The same people that sold such expensive items are the same people that can afford such items for the prices ingame. I made my ingame cash with CM sales too. Most people are kinda poor with barely enough money. Its even worse considering one of the main income sources got nerfed in 5.0. Selling this item for this insane price only shows how greedy bioware is. Its one item for 7.600 CC. How many items can you buy for that normally? There are more items than you have space in your inventory in a hypercrate for less CC. Better buy a few hypercrates, sell everything and buy the saber from the GTN AND have spare cash. And btw, the items is cheaper than 60$ on ebay.
  7. Bioware introduced random bosses so groups would form. Probably to reinvent the group feeling outside FPs and OPs. But then the people I talked to do this in groups bigger than 16 people but only 16 people receive loot. If you can call it loot. I dont even see the need to punish groups with more than 16 people like this. Also I had two groups on droomund kaas yesterday. We killed one boss, me as tank, and about 8 others. I died two times, most others died more than that. The second boss that spawned while we were moving to kill the worldboss was less inclined to die so he vanished. Hardly motivation to do, barely rewarding and is punishing groups that are too big. And you find those bosses on planets where new players roam around and run into them before a group can form. This is a really dumb feature.
  8. Its not the gear difference that moves EXPERIENCED players are ahead of others. Someone with zero skill and 240 gear will suck while an experienced player with 228 gear will own the 240 player easily. The bolster only achieves that the experienced player takes longer to smash the noobs that are unable to use their skills properly. For experienced players it does no real good. Its actually an insult to players that are slightly below the gear level. Its involuntary hand holding. This isnt necessary at max level. If people didnt learn how to play from 1-69, then one more level wont change much.
  9. A new sympton appeared. Im on makeb killing things, port to my stronghold, browse the GTN for about 10 minutes and then suddenly disconnect out of the blue, not to the character list but from the server. Took me two tries to get back onto the server. First time the server wasnt even available. Character list says my char is on makeb! I log in and he is indeed exactly at the position I ported to my stronghold. This is messed up for several reasons. First it shows that the game does save my location past a logout. Usually when I log out, log back in and want to return from my stronghold to my former coordinates I end up at the planets orbital station or the next best thing to a spaceport as if the game would not save my coordinates. Second, a slight hickup kicks me from the server but a prolonged connection issue keeps me praktically online until the afk timer kicks me. Still, everything else works just fine.

  12. The current gearing system does not guarantee BiS NiM gear. And some players know they need better gear to compensate for lack of skill. Otherwise they would not need better gear or get better gear otherwise and run NiMs, wouldnt they?
  13. Why would you deny casual players the option to gain better gear? Why remove one of the biggest motivations for players to go for harder difficulties in OPS, FPS and uprisings? I liked the old classic concept where players gain blue gear in small group content and purple gear in raids. Occasionally you could build 1-2 purple items for specific armor types. Everyone had the gear they needed to reach for the next level of gear. Now we have this mess. But the current system is very friendly to those that cant run the highest difficulties for various reasons. Yet those running the hardest OPs are still at the top. Does it diminish your accomplishment or something if others gain similar gear with less effort?
  14. In the last weeks my problem didnt go away. The situation is unchanged. Mostly while in groups I have one occasion where the ping just keeps rising and rising until I log out or restart the game. At the same time I can sit in teamspeak and talk with people that are waiting for me, browse everything on the internet, listen to online radio... its like my internet is working perfectly. Then I finally found a guide where the tracert commands worked. I should mention that at other occasions my chars get a kick from the server for no appearent reason while my internet continues to run without disruption. It makes zero sense. Internet works fine, just this ONE game is trouble. Edit: I just talked with customer support of my provider and they said my connection looks fine. They hand it over to get it looked at more thorough and get back to me if they find anything. They gave my connection a clean bill of health this morning.

  16. This sounds like they remove the OPTION to queue for the lowest difficulty of flashpoints as a group. I dont think they mean SOLO mode because it was never possible to queue for solo flashpoints through the group finder. The command system does allow it tho but thats not being mentioned here. This definately needs proper clarification!
  17. Wait... what? I had the impression you must solo the story. I never heard anything about the possibility to do it as a group before.
  18. I should mention it was the first time I ran random OPs which were in the finder. I did dread fortress which was in the finder yesterday with char2. Some odd system to remove the info when done. Thanks for the heads up.
  19. I ran operations with two chars yesterday. No active phases left. Both are in the same stronghold the moment the pics were taken.   20. Ich spiele seit über einem jahr und hatte bis vor ein paar wochen nie probleme mit latanz. Aber in letzter zeit habe ich öfters am späten nachmittag und abend das problem dass die latenz in gebieten wo ich gerade kämpfe entgleist bis zum verbindungsabbruch, ich aber nicht aus dem spiel fliege. In festungen oder in der stadt habe ich solche probleme nicht. Z.b. gerade auf ziost während monolithic. Mitten im kampf tut sich nix mehr, war auf dem weg schon nervig weil der halbe kampf nur stillstand von allem war. Irgendwie war der endkampf dann vorbei, ich geh auf die station und da oben ist das problem nicht mehr da. Jetzt steh ich wieder auf dem planeten und alles sieht wieder gut aus. Das ist definitiv kein problem auf unserer seite wenn alle anderen internetaktivitäten zeitgleich einwandfrei funktionieren und das problem nur in kampfgebieten stattfindet.
  21. Dont get me wrong. I think this is a good concept. Its just that many people have no clue how something as simple as this can screw with peoples computers. Im just cautious about such things. You assume everyone can decipher the code. This doesnt sound like the addons Im used to from world of warcraft which dont have executables and only interacts with the interface using LUA files. Im talking about the terms & conditions we all agreed on or just accepted when we installed the game. If it changes game files, its not allowed.
  22. Does this conform to the terms of this game? And lets mention that blindly downloading a tool that interacts with our game and maybe with our computer sounds risky.
  23. The problem is you know why one of the opposing team is marked. Most people dont. Also marking people for fun is a thing too. People need to be aware of such rules. But someone has to tell them, train them... Most players dont learn such things in random groups.
  24. I read "Please fix eric musco" which makes alot more sense. But I agree. The match should limit the amount of people with a specific role and switching roles once in the queue should kick people from the queue to prevent exploiting. I played as sorcerer damage, sorcerer heal and guardian tank for the alliance alert. Fighting against 3 healers as a tank with one DD diddling your armor isnt fun. I even got flamed for not kicking the 3 healers sufficiently. Even tho all my abilities were on constant cooldown. Also facing one healer and the rest damage isnt fun either. You just die all the time to the insane amount of incoming damage. Or fight too many tanks... nothing dies if each side has a healer. Just limit it to 2 healers, 2 tanks and the rest damage. No need to ruin abilities under the pretence of "balance" because that doesnt create balance, it only ruins gameplay and eventually fun.
