    WoW added this with the addition of all the other guild perks. It was this that introduced the guild spam invite addon and caused social guilds to turn into "Line this random guy's pocket" guilds because he happened to have one with the perks you wanted. I used to love to find random guilds to hang out in for the sake of chatting and making friends while leveling. That's near impossible to do now. =/
