  1. This is not a bug. "Locked Medium Glowing Data Crystal Containers" are in effect a currency and can't be sold. Instead you just used the to buy "Medium Glowing Data Crystal Containers" from an Operations Gear Vendor at a 1 to 1 exchange rate. If you have x1 "Locked Medium Glowing Data Crystal Containers" you buy x1 "Medium Glowing Data Crystal Containers" with it. Basically you exchange it at an Operations Gear Vendor to get it unlocked... Once you have the (unlocked) "Medium Glowing Data Crystal Containers" just right click on it to get x25 Glowing Data Crystals. Bit of an awkward and time wasting way to do things but that's how to use them. Hope this clears things up for people.
  2. Donno if its a bug or if BW did the ole bait and switch on us... 2-3 weeks ago I managed to unlock "VALOR" and "INTREPIDITY" in collections using the items bought from the reputation vendor then unlocked account-wide with 400 CC a pop. Tried to do the same thing for the "FORTITUDE" and "GRIT" blasters and it doesn't even unlock... weird thing is the description on the little box icon in collection tool tip says "Once this item is collected you can transfer blah blah blah" but when you click the "show items" its says "additional copies of this item are only available from the Reputation vendor"... totally contradicting each other. I've raised a ticket, see how they explain this one
  3. Same companions are missing for me too. Was planning to do a group screenshot with em all but can't coz of the annoying bug
  4. They've maxed Frequency Capacitor and also using Blaster Overcharge.
  5. sign any lore friendly stuff I'll sign. I'd love to sign to get rid of pink and other stupid color saber crystals but it seems BW dont care about lore anymore
  6. I was being melodramatic about the "it being illegal" part. But in all honesty I do believe its unfair trading practice. I have no problem with F2P its the way they're doing it that annoys the hell outta me. Why cant they just put a fix price per dye colour and let us know exactly what we're paying for, instead of this random ****. For that does is piss people off. sure they'll make some money in the short term but people will disappear sooner rather than later for better alternatives if they keep alienating the community in underhanded ways. it feels like... They give with one hand and take away with the other, then kick you in the nuts before its done
  7. I wonder what the law would say about this... Making people pay for random packs is tantamount gambling. Its not just the soon to be dye packs, its 95% of the whole Cartel Market system. Just set a price for each item and be done with it!!! forcing people to spend 10s-100s of $$$/£££ chasing a digital item worth £1-£5 is unfair trading practice. This game is rated TEEN so there are lots of kids playing. Your getting kids hooked on gambling with their own or with their parents' money... makes no difference! Plus the law in most parts of the world sets legal gambling age to 18-21 how many kids do you think are buying these packs or asking their parents to, thereby breaking or coercing parents to unknowingly break the law by aiding & abetting a minor to gamble. This is now a Disney umbrella product for crying out loud... "Think of the children, why wont nobody think of the children" I'd expect this from EA, but Bioware... shame on you. Someone should take these clowns to court
  8. That point is kind of moot! If thats the case and its because of the rating, then why have the slave/dancer gear in the game at all and why make it work for humans and twi'leks? No the devs are just lazy... that, or they severely underestimate the importance of look-customization for a player in an mmorpg. Either way they've got their priorities scewed up, hence the on going issues with hoods and masks. They should know that its cosmetic issues Iike this that made a surprizingly large numbers of people unsubbed especially the casual mmo/starwars/kotor fans. After all who wants to play a character they're not happy with or play with a companion they don't like the look of? They talk about Immersion being important... They've not done much to show us they really believe in that... What creats the immersion has alot to do with how the game looks and how your character fits and feel within the universe. having a sith with no hood and mask doesnt feel like a sith and wearing a bikini over a catsuit is just down right an eye sore. looks like BioWare have forgotten or forsaken the basic roles of story telling which made they're other games great. They should know better...
  9. Its been an issue since launch. There was alot of clipping with the hood and mask combo so BW removed it altogether and are very slowly adding it back in. Unfortunately its been painfully slow. I've personally given up asking... I'd rather they add better looking gear which in itself could be the answer.
  10. Funny thing is... the belts do exist!!! just not obtainable by us if you look at the NPC Slave girls on Hutta they're wearing a kind of jewellery chain for the belt and jewellery bracers which looks quite good. only BW knows why they never seem to release belts/bracers with the intended sets. Maybe they're just sadists and enjoy reading about people complaining.
  11. Bump. I too want this but for the Battlemaster Force-Master Belt
  12. I support this. I for one Like the look of the battlemaster belt/sash for my sorcerer. now that the battlemaster sets have been phased out. it is no longer possible to get the look of the battlemaster belts and brasers. If I want to keep my little bird skull belt I cant upgrade to the War Hero or Elite War Hero belt because the old battlemaster belt and bracers aren not moddable. Plz add those back into the game as orange items not to mention all the other sets missing belts and bracers,..
  13. I dont see anything wrong with the "Revan's Robe" am I missing something? The issue with Red chest pieces appearing as brown's been there since launch!!! Try the "Elder Exemplar Robe" on and you'll see what I mean. It looks fine in the preview window and character sheet but on your actual character the chest red comes out brown but the rest of the body gear is bright red...go figure:confused:
  14. Bump, Bump, Bump Definity, I was wondering the same thing... Seems a very odd choice from BW to limit the mask to just one colour scheme. With such a popularly demanded item, a fair amount of people are surely going want to aquire the mask for themselve one way or the other if they havent already. So we're going to have a situation where alot of people are going to be running around with the exact same head with different colour bodies which just makes it an eye sore... I understand from a visual stand point if all the different parts of the Nihilus Mask were to be unifiable It may look a little silly but at least have the head-cloth (and maybe the mask markings) unifiable. You can leave the actual face mask part the fixed colour part. This way I think most people would be happy and look less of a clown if their chest is anything other than black. And If people want the colour the way it is then they can just not unify the head. why limit the choice for just this item when all the other headgear are unifiable is puzzling Seems like a simply tweek to me... I swear BW or EA just makes these decisions to piss people off for their own amusement dont they know how seriously people value customizability in an RPG let alone a starwars MMORPG.
  15. I dont see anything wrong with under cutting, as you say yourself it works better for the buyer since that drives the prices down. the "cheeze" sellers will come and go. Sellers will now have to set a reasonable price for their listings or another player will undercut them. I personally will under cut other sellers, but there is a line I wouldnt go below because that willl eat into my profit margins and would defeat the point of me crafting and selling.. e.g. I see people sell XXX item for 50k. I can sell said XXX item for 40k and still make a good profit. the people who set their price at 50k will have to bring it down to my level in order to get their items sold. simple really. If they complain about not being able to make a profit at the same price I'm selling mine and I'm getting a profit then they're not doing it right. They should consider looking at their costs and see how others are doing it instead of complaining other people are undercutting them. I gather mostly my own materials and by the ones I can't do myself (this is more time consuming) but it keeps my costs low. If people buy in all their materials then their costs are gonna be alot higher than mine so they cant set the price as low as I can. I see crafting materials price set at x10 or x20 the price the items would be if you were to gather them youself and people are buying (I assume to craft with) as those prices havent dropped. If more people started to gather some of those items for themselves then the material sellers will not beable to demand those ridiculous prices Its all about supply and demand. you'll see GTN prices drop until it hits a natural point. just the way all markets work. only reason profit was so good and prices high was because not as many sellers were around. and people got used to being able prices fix. that simply isnt gonna be the case for much longers as more crafter/sellers come through. The only exception to those rules are the luck people who have extremely-rare or now unobtainable schematics like the WH purple crystal or the supreme inquis robe. They have the monopoly coz on one else can make them so they freely price fix.
  16. I can't really make heads or tails of the wording of the Authorize/Licence in the pop-up info notes. The only meaning I get from this is that Subs will have to use cartel coins once to get authorization to equip most purps. While F2P have to keep renewing licences after a time to keep on wearing most purps but are unable to equip some at all... If this is true then its messed up. not to mention the bad english used to explain it to us. If Im I sub I dont want to be messing with stupid coins to equip Items. I get enough of that crap from spending way too much time trying to earn RWZ comms for WH gear. BW better clear this up fast or explain better because from the looks of it They're about to loose my sub. There's not gonna be many founders left if this rolls out and its how I think its gonna be and no chance of keeping F2P people coming in either.
  17. I'm not convinced that that is cheating. Yes obviously its cheating if they are using hacks. But how can you be sure that its not just someone using an interrupt ability on you with a lockout period... you do know that i.e. sorc/sage can lock players from using their abilities for a few secs if they upgraded it in the skill tree. as for the nerfing issue... well its all to do with huttball. to be honest I'd be happy if they just got rid of huttball. the issue was that when a ball carrier got CC'ed twice in 2-3 secs (which happens alot) it made them an unstoppable train. which causes alot of fuss... They're just changing the way CC, resolve and knockbacks work. TBH I think thats a good thing as the way they are at the moment you cant do a thing without being frozen or thrown every few secs in pvp which is annoying for all classes. As for this having a bad effect on PVE its not really going to effect it by that much... critters dont have resolve same way players do so shouldnt change gameplay too much in PVE. thats how I understand it anyway
  18. How's this for grindin the ol' axe... Its very unfortunate that Crafting is made redundant by so many of the games' other features (especially at higher levels) like pvp and ops gearing etc. I for one would love to get my teeth into crafting but have been put off by all the other players' comments about their experiences. Personally I think the best thing for BW to do to reinvigorate crafting and make it more rewarding is to rebalance the whole purpose of crafting, not to compete with but to compliment other gaming mechanics. I know this seems like a simple thing to say but hear me out... So we know that at end game levels, crafted items gets trashed by PVP and OPS gear in terms of stats at the moment and if BW were to change it and make crafted gear have better stats then this would ruin the whole point of PVP and Raids for most people... If you think of what is missing in SWTOR the answer in very simple and bloody obvious it's cringe worthy to think BW have not done it already! (or maybe they have... but not to the extent for it to be effective) My two cents is... drum roll plz.... Leave the lower level crafting as it is, to help players while they're leveling, but once we gets into the higher levels (40-45 plus) we can kill two birds with one stone! Think of the amount of people who are constantly ************ about how crap SWTOR gear looks (myself included) and that it has no place in the wider StarWars Universe... well crafting is the perfect platform to rectify this with. Bring out all the cool looking art assets we were shown during developement (but are now no where to be seen) and turn them into orange craftable gear and make crafting about customising and making your charactors look individual !!! I hate the fact that at the moment all the high level toons all look the same, because they're all wearing the same sets of War Hero/Black Hole gaddamn gear (albeit in defferent colors... whiptydoo ) We need more individuality the amount of time I've seen Peacock and Fish-men Inquisitors makes me want to cry, (Yes I'm currently a peacock but let me be a Peacock in a diffenct color than the rest of them without having to change my chest piece to something that doen't match just for its colors) Sorry I could have said this in far more simple terms but it turned into a rant, so here it is... Yep strut that stuff and unsub... which is what I may end up doing... shame really I've been a sub since day one and It seems like STWOR maybe going the same way Conan did! yeah, sure they're adding new stuff but is it too little and too late and is it what people like me want??? the Content they're adding is more MMO than RPG as Im more of an RPG kinda guy, I'm my playing the wrong game... truth is in a game of this nature all there is to do at end game is Raid or PVP. its difficult, unless BW manages to reg add more story content and live events thats all we have left to do.
  19. Oops ranted about wrong subject, post moved (sorry dont know how to delete completely)
  20. I'm just hoping they'll fix it in the next major update... The match colour to chest in 1.2 has made a marked improvement on how the toons look (gone are the lego men) thank god. But there's issues that still needs addressing. i.e. the hood+mask thing we've been crying about since launch!!! Annoyingly for me, 1.2 update gave with one hand and took away with the other. Yes the colours now match on outfits, but I find that the respirator type masks are no longer visable at all on my Sith/Sith Marauder!!! I think this maybe due to her "chin spike" thingy clipping with the masks, but it just seems a bit extreme to hide the model altogether without even giving the option to toggle it back on... Are they just gonna make everything that clips disappear? If so, then is the Hood on my Black Talon Robe going to disappear too??? because its clipping with my Rattataki's left ear or the head pearls, again on the Rattataki clipping with the "Neck Collar" style headgear. Soon 25% of gear in SW:TOR will be invisible by 1.3 update, They either need to re-design the items with all racial features/jewelry in mind. Or somehow get rid of the clippings. they really should've ironed this out before the game was released... these are not issues I was expecting from a veteran dev team such as Bioware. Very Very disappointed. They got sooo many things right. But these silly mistakes in the graphical areas really annoy the hell out of alot of people.
  21. True there would be problems but people could just turn off hood if there's particularly bad clipping on some helmets. The more drastic thing they could do is Item re-designs. They did it in WoW with character models to keep up with new industry standards in graphics. With the way gear looks now I doubt much of them would be missed (especially the crafted gear) if they were to be changed. No reason why they can't do it here. Sure it could take a while, but at least let us know its coming.
  22. If that's the case, great. If not, they suck big
  23. funny thing is, for me the best looking set for low level light armor is the "savant" gear. Problem is, the "savant low-robe" doesn't exist. The closest thing to it seems to be the "force savant lower-robe" which you can only get as loot from lvl 40ish epic boss... Epic fail Dont know if this bothers anyone else but it seems to me that the male gear is better looking than the female gear in most cases. Its as if the designer took the male version and then in a ham-fisted way deleted shunks out of the model mesh and called it female. http://i.imgur.com/eWtYC.jpg http://i.imgur.com/HHScd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7Z1JL.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5WYW3.jpg I'm all for female versions showing a bit more skin. But if its done like the way it is now. It'd look much better to have the same model for both male and female. At the moment they create the same effect as a cheap ****** outfit... I'm not saying all the sets look bad. some look really nice but unfortunately a large minority don't. No fashion sense what so ever.
  24. This really doesnt answer our question at all... Fine that you'll beable to toggle hood up/down. the issue is, what we want to know is if masks will still remain visable if we toggle the hood up.
  25. There is such a simple solution to this, it makes me furious the devs havent done it already! Currently headbands work fine with hoods up. so why cant they just reclassify most helmets into the same catagory as headbands and keep the ones with clipping issues as helmets. For such a simple thing to be overlooked. and with it causing so much angst. what are the devs doing not fixing a very basic issue.
