  2. Hello, I'm the raid lead/organizer for Roman and Kats raids. People join and play games for different reasons, one of those reasons is to achievement hunt and get raid clears. 8+ player content takes time to organize and exponentially more time and energy when it is this level of content. In this example organizing 16 folks schedules to do a 16 gate crasher run for my guild. I think our largest issue currently with the game is the lack of transparency. If the devs would have told us, oh wait there is an exploit, anything you do will be rolled back until we fix it, this problem would have never occurred. We are all raiders that stuck it out during the absolute catastrophe of the launch of 7.0 and to get this treatment in one of our "crowning" moments is a straight middle finger to our accomplishment. Sure, I can go through the process of reorganizing folks to "do it again", but what about those folks that do not have time, or cannot make that run? Is the expectation that now 3 months later I can just magically pull together the same group and just "do it again"? I feel bad for the folks that have gotten multiple timers ect in the last 3 months and have had their stuff taken away. Yeah I am upset with the treatment we have received. I feel that largely the swtor team does not care about its raiding community and this further pushes us away. All of us want this game to be the game we spend the next several years in, but that is seeming more and more like a pipe dream.
  3. The new skill point system of picking back and forth between perks is a huge step up from the old utility point system. I hated having to constantly reset so I could spec into just one thing for a particular boss fight. I feel like some skills in the skill point system just do not get used. There is a recommended build on most resources I find and 95% of people I talk to use the exact same ones. There a take this one for this boss here and there and there is definitely a benefit to swapping things around for AoE situations in say trash fights and definitely some ones I would change for PvP but more or less they stay the same. When 7.0 launched everyone was forced to replay content to level and regear their toons. Having to do the daily grind again was tedious but did get us back in the game playing for hours on end to get to that coveted 330. I feel like now we are back to raid logging. I see myself not having anything to do outside of a raid to progress my many many many characters. I just had a random thought and thought I would share. One of the biggest things I hear people complain about is having to choose between their abilities on the skill tree, saber reflect vs blade blitz for example. Why not introduce a way to unlock everything in the skill tree. Say a player hits level 80, they stop leveling, but their XP points continue to fill the bar to what would be level 81, but instead when it reaches that mark it rewards a bonus skill point to unlock an additional skill point, then another and another and another and so forth. That would make time spent on that toon making it much more powerful over time. Best of all, I could do that on all of my toons and keep me engaged in the game outside of raid logging.
  4. PvP is one of my favorite aspects of swtor. I’ve played easily thousands of matches and have some ideas to share that I think will enhance the experience and turn more folks on to Warzone PvP and keep folks coming back to the ques. Right now there’s a tiered based system to “regs” but it’s not really fair to all levels. 10-42 plays together. At level 10 I may have better stats but I’m missing a ton of important abilities that make me competitive, like taunts, stun breaks, stuns, and interrupts. A level 10 is going to get crushed by a level 42 unless they are running in a pack. Likewise at level 43, I’m playing with all the level 70s who if they know what they are doing, grabs the ossus or masterwork gear for 6pc bonus’s. I’ve leveled 15+ toons of all specs up. PvP gets fun at level 36+ in lows and 58+ in mids. 75s have their own problems. Ever see that IR 198 guy beside you with no tactical or set gear and say wow. I pitty them, I was there it sucks. So here’s my idea, 1) Eliminate the tier system in regs. Extend PvP to everyone level 1-75. I hate playing story or GSF to level 10, it sucks. 2) fix abilities There are too many abilities to use outside of operations and FP bosses. I mean most story stuff the mobs are one hit anyway. I know there are abilities on my bar I rarely (never) use in war zones. Solution A) Make PvP have its own specialization for each class. Limit the skills to 12 powers. Have all of those powers unlocked at level 1. Solution B) have a 12 slot PvP quick bar that only gets used in war zones. Players pick which abilities they want from their class on their bar (no level restrictions.). Say I have 6 selectable abilities for that class, then fixed to 1 heal ability, a gap closer, stun, interrupt and break and knock back. 3) eliminate tanks and heal classes from PvP. Make it all dps classes, some naturally are more tanky some more Healy. 4)player stats and gear set bonus’s do nothing in PvP, everyone’s stats are the same or based off of chosen class. 5)put the PvP maps on a rotation, get rid of the RNG, play one mode right after the next. I’ve been on 14 hour PvP stretches and some modes just pop over and over and over again. Just cycle the maps. Some thoughts I’ve had on some personal and player feedback I’ve collected over the last year or so. Wanted to share some suggestions and leave it at that. See ya in warzones
