  1. If it couldn't be justified then i would have a problem with it. The experience of all the mercs and the leader boards back up these claims. There simply is no valid counter argument that mercs are not broken and need a disengage. As it stands i dont pvp on my merc anymore. Its just too broken for ranked.
  2. This suggestion times one thousand! No good having cool stuff when such a small fraction get it suggesting it unattainable for the top 5% of mercs/mandos
  3. So i decided to do some ranked matches again this arvo and i found the same thing that has plagued ranked pvp matches for ages. Mercs as always can not compete against other teams and its a disadvantage having a merc on your team in ranked. We have two new tweaked abilities to aid us. 1. Chaff flare has been redesigned for IO and arsenal 2. Kolto overload now heals to 40% health rather than 35% Neither of these persuaded the enemy team not to target me first nor did any team relent after focusing on me. I played about four games i think and they all followed the same strat smash merc till dead at all costs. Devs please redesign a existing ability for us or give us something new so that we have a "hard switch" defensive. Being a punching bag for 80K to 90K in every round while i frantically hit my dcd's is not fun and its starting to get tiresome after 5 seasons of this.
  4. push maint back a week and show some love for not bringing down servers during aussie prime time for the 100th time. too many raids in APAC are scheduled for Wednesdays and Thursdays if you delay it by 24 or 48 hours.
  5. Hey everyone, The way we like to run team devastate is to run 9 members ideally. This gives us the utility, depth and flexibility that makes this group work so well. There is a opportunity to fill that 9th position at the moment. Our group is currently 3/5 Ravages and 1/5 TOS in their respective HM's This is the way the 9th position works in our team. We run a rotation system where we swap ppl around. typically that would mean you may sit out every 5 weeks or so for a entire lockout. Having said that our 9th position also fills in for any afk's so whomever is on rotation on that week can slot straight into raiding that week even if they are due for a rest. What we are looking for is a ranged dps that can bring some big dps, have excellent raid awareness, can make our raid days/times of Sunday's and Wednesday's ( 8:00pm to 11:00pm GMT+10 ) and it would be a big benefit if you have multiple toons you can play at a high level or multi specs like a ranged dmg spec and heals toon or spec ect. Anyone can have a chat to me to see if the position is right for them but we will be selective about who we pick as it needs to be both right for the group and also the 9th person. If im not available for whatever reason our 2IC is Karboom and he can answer any questions you may have or let me know you want to have a chat. Cya all in game
  6. Yep i spent about 3 hours doing ranked pvp today and i would say 90% of my matches i was focused first and hard. By a end of a round i would have about 80 to 90k dmg done to me. Double my health..........i would have about 100k dmg. the dmg taken tab would normally be a lot more then my team mates with most of the time being the most. This tells me there is really no incentive for another team in ranked to focus anyone else. they continue to burn me because they know the defensive's are not that good. Another reason to burn the merc is that their dmg is pretty good. We need a balance. imho we need something that would really deter teams from focusing us. a reflective shield or something. if i see a merc there is nothing that will stop me atm from not focusing him for all im worth. Boost our shield to something worthwhile like 70% for 8 seconds or something. Something that will make them switch targets for god's sake because im not doing it when i focus a merc and neither is anyone else. continue to burn through their cd's thats it. All i know is that we should not be the go to burn target in ranked and if i was putting together a ranked them i would not pick a merc for that reason. its like starting with three ppl. Teams need something more then a dmg soaker which is what we are atm.
  7. yep we are going to continue ************ about it. I would say the APAC community factors in a loss of nearly 60 days a year we are unable to raid. We accept that fact. Tuesday nights in APAC are maint night and nothing gets planned for raids. It starts being a prob when there is multi days in a week where maint happens. As a community we already have four week days to work with. If this happened in U.S. prime time imagine the complaints and qq's. Just because we are a small market doesn't mean we should let them piss in our cornflakes. Even if we had a rotating maintenance imagine the complaints from the U.S. We already cop enough downtime and we are pretty good about it. Don't try telling us that we are not important like the precious player's in the U.S.
  8. Everyone lost the accuracy from the class that they were getting pre 3.0 What you have quoted from patch notes is the fact that you get a little more accuracy from the enhancements and implants that you put in.
  9. It is a known issue with the servers not a capacity thing. They are working on it to get it back up and has nothing to do with ftp and subs afaik.
  10. Im also in a que. Ranked 702 atm with estimated time 55mins till log in. Doesn't seem like the server issues have been fixed.

  12. Settle down everyone. All your rotations and abilities will mostly be the same. They will change some stuff as they did change some stuff in 2.0 but they will simply change how you "spec" and make it more variable and have less defined builds Everyone knows all the specs and if your not running a specific spec then your a noob. There will be more deviation from the known specs now as you will able to play slightly different. Will you still have snipe ? almost certainly. Are you still going to be able to cast tracer missile ? of course ! they are not rebuilding the characters they are streamlining and adjusting how we spec.

  15. Wouldn't it be cool if we cycled maintenance times through different times. First U.S Second EU Third players that play in apac timezones APAC player's get less play time for the same sub price especially when bugs need to be fixed or fights tuned as im sure will happen with the new NiM coming out. I guess one can dream......
  16. I have not played the PTS yet but i remember reading that the NiM testing is using HM health pools and only testing mechanics atm. The dummy parse is something that should be taken with a grain of salt and a parse on a dummy is not reflective of what someone will need in dps to be able to complete a operation that OP was talking about. It needs context when being discussed. Hard numbers are there on torparse. These numbers for each boss kill are a much closer representation of what the best should be pulling on a boss and is a lot more relevant to OP's question. OP's question is a little flawed as the dummy parse will not give the clearest representation of what he/she wants to know.
  17. Yeah 3000 is what some individuals are hitting on some fights and even then they are very good players. Certainly not a requirement to complete current content.
  18. Im not saying it is irrelevant or not useful just incredibly inaccurate when ppl claim you need 3k dps to do current HM content.
  19. My point exactly. Dummy parses mean bugger all. Real world kills on bosses where you have to move and react to mechanics is where it is at.
  20. 3k for current HM operations my bum 2500 is absolutely fine. Some people are thinking that just because some classes are parsing over 3k on a dummy that they can bring that to a raid and that translates to a median parse everyone should be aiming for. For e.g. I just did a quick search of HM DP for mercs and the results are as follows. 26 parses in the world above 3k for nef 0 above 3k on draxus 50 on grob (to be expected on mechanic light fight) 9 above 3k CZ 1 above 3k on brontes. Dps need 3k to complete this content my arse. *mara and snipers should be looking to be near 3k but "needing" 3k to complete this is rubbish.
  21. A rough guess would be SM 1500 dps HM 2000 dps NiM 2500 dps I know it sounds simple but it pretty much is.
  22. Some nice balances that really are going to help. The extra tick on unload is designed to give some kind of dmg on target if we get interrupted. And removing rng from barrage is great. I dont think I read a change to the channel time so if that is the case then awesome. This will be very interesting to try out and will be looking at this on the pts
  23. If they hit from behind cc break jet boost to get range on them. After this net immediately. If they manage to stealth put a stealth probe on yourself to pull them out. Make sure you use your stun when you can. If they are at range a unload with pinning fire is a good option. If they interrupt tracer make sure you have power shot bound and immediately start casting this. A lot of what to use is situational so requires that you have a solid understanding of your class.
