With 1.2 and their introcduction of the parts for you to choose what you want your robot to be good at crew skill wise I have to wonder why they don't let you do this with each of the companions? In all reality I think it would be nice if they had a "skill" slot in the inventory and when you get the crew member it comes with the default skill. Then you can eithr use commaendation to select different skills or maybe even in some way "unlock" skills through legacy levels. And then you use that unlocked skill in the slot instead of the default. I know alot of people are unhappy with what their crew members give bonsues to. I thik this robot love of 1.2 is a step in the right direction but can't we have this expanded to the rest of the crew members? Thoughts guys?
  2. Okay Here is what I have - I don't plan to make another player so I think I am stuck with 9 options. For the nine I picked 1) Cybertech, Underworld Trading and Scavenging 2) Synthweaving, Archeology, and Slicing 3) I have picked up Artifice, and I am stuck with two last options. I feel I can go two routes here I could go Investigation and Treasure Hunting or Investigation and Bioanalysis. I knw that Bio will not help me but I can sell the items and I like being able to gather more items than sending out my crew all the time. Whats the thought here, is having two mission skills better than having all 4 of the gathering skills considering the 3 main crafting items I have is cybertech, artifice and Synthweaving?
  3. Okay I search for Armor, Light Armor I pull up 39 pages of items and I see an item that is level 17. I then close the GTN (because I can't have the GTN my inventory AND my character sheet open at one time) and I find out I indeed need the item. I go back INTO the GTN filter and this time I do a filer of Armor, Light Armor and Required level 15-19 and the item does not show up????? What? So I think this sold right? Well I turn my filter back to how I found the item to begin with of Just Armor and Light Armor and there is the exact sam posted item! Also I have found the Usable by option NEVER returns anything even if the categories Ihave chosen has a ton of items I can use. I can repete these strange occurences over and over I am sure this is how it is all across the board. Also can't GTN get a search by slot feature? So instead of searching all light armor can't there be a sub category of slot type e.g. Waist, Head and so fourth. Lets make GTN alot more user friendly please.
  4. I went looking all through out my UI settings thinking there had to be some setting I missed but I cannot seem to find anything. When I have a stack of say 96 of a material and I loot 4 more does it put it as a stack of 99 and then make a new stack of 1? No it leaves it at 96 and I get a new stack of 4. When I have a stack of say 25 of an item in the Cargo Hold and I put another stack of say 45 in another slot does it move it to where I have the original stack? No If I have an item in my inventory does it highlight a partial stack in my Cargo Hold to show me where something could be combined to free up a space? No Its bad enough that crafting takes up so many darned spaces but shouldn't there be some setting to autocombine? At this point I am thinking it can be check box with two radio buttons. Auto-combine inventory stacks (checkbox) Combine to largest stack (Radio Button) - Wherever you have the largest partial stack is where the other smaller partial stacks combine into until it makes 99. Combine to Cargo Hold upon Cargo Hold Access(Radio Button) - Combines your stack to the Cargo Hold stack even if your inventory stack is the largest. See complaint and thought on a way to fix it in a single post. Its been bugging me about the way crafting materials get stored since I first picked up my first crafting skill.
  5. Man you guys had me so scared equipping this when I hit 50. All I have to say is these things are SO easy a monkey could do it. Sorry to those of you having problems but in all reality you need to get your eyes checked. Quick right click = missle hold click with the red display = on a major ship = proton torpedo. This one helps me kill every capitol ship on every mission I did the same thing as has been posted here for clouds mission - I used the proton topedos on 3 of the shield generators and on the bridge and then I used missles on the last one and to help really quicken up the killing when I was in close I used an EMP to just take out a ton of the guns. So far the only two missions I still have problems with even on full upgrades is the clouds mission getting all 75 of the defenders (because I am switching to shields alot and my guns just go to the toilet) and the mugar ice field mission where you have the 10 shild generators you have to kill the second one is just not on the screen long enough for me to kill both in time. While it would be nice to rebind the attack it in no way hampers the short right click ability of the regular missions so I really don't see how anyone can clamin it messesu p how they standarly do the mission?
  6. Do you have other companions sent out on missions? Maybe you already haae the max number of companions out on missions there are a number of times thoughout the game you have more companions than mission slots
  7. Unless they make it 100% success rate this is a very valid point. Sounds more like death by thousands of papercuts if its not 100% success rate.
  8. I know I can re greens to get blues and blues to get purples. The thing I am wondering is if I find purples on GTN and I re them would I have a chance to get a purple from it or would I just get the mats? (Asking about cyberteh mods and armor specifically)
  9. The problem as I see it is that you will be 100% reliant on the GTN for your primary source of material required for your Synthweaving if you don't pick up Archeology. Sure Slicing may make you some money but I know when I am crafting I HATE being reliant on the GTN 100% for something because on my server the GTN rarely seems ot have what I am looking for (maybe if you were on a high population server with a ton of crafters selling materials you owuld be okay). Also as an example I just got my Slicing up to level 200 on a level 10 I am running all missions and so far I am just breaking even. Unless I just went to world spawns and stopped running missions I am sure I will continue this streak. If you don't mind this reliance and arep lanning on more than just mission running you will porbably be able ot turn a profit that yu can then put towards the raw mats that Synthweaving will require.
  10. This is fact and its the main reason I always work at getting my affection at least up to 6k right away on my companions. The time difference between a neutral and a 6k on a 49-50 mission is a good 15 minutes difference.
  11. Okay I am almost to the fun level 50 on my main charachter and I have invested way to much into my skills to do the different gear switching thing everyone does with the skills. In fact i have a ton of blue and purple REed mods and armoring and I have made all of my ships own parts and whatnot. So with that being said that I will NOT be dropping the current skill list of Cybertech/Scavenging/and Underworld Trading (all 400). What would be the next best set of crew skills for my alt? I was thinking Synthweaving Archeology and Treasure hunting as one is a warrior other is a healer both force based so I could use that to try and crit on crafted oranges. On the other hand I really would like slicing to get my cybertech more of the recipies and missions since on my server these things are NEVER in GTN. Thoughts? Suggestions?
  12. Glad its not justy me that can't get this to do this no matter what I try. I don't doubt you now. I actually did it again this afternoon and the list is now cycling (where the last two times it did not) I am thinking maybe there is some kind of level lock or something in place where if you level up to the next level the list does not cycle for some unknown amount of time. Maybe something of the sort because i just unlocked 33-40 last night and then was when it did not cycle for me. i too was trying everything from logging off to boarding my own ship and leaving it (not just going into the hangar)
  13. Are you guys being serious with your answers? I am now at 200+ underworld trading and I for the life of me cannot get my mission list to change ever! Zoning, relogging, handing in quests. The only time mine changes is after I have ran a mission. I also have noticed once a mission is being ran you can not get that mission again at all until one of your crew has finished running it. E.G. a Moderate yield grade four metals mission named XXXX when ran you will never see XXXX back in the list at all even when someone is out already running it. When this was the biggest pain to me is when I was at only 3 quests in my 33-40 list and only one was a grade 4 metal. Scavenging I don't worry about I level it through the droids I kill mainly and its well into 320, Cybertech I easily level up with my mod making and reverse engineering to get the blues its at 314. UT is the only one I just can run missions to level up and boy is it a pain because of this fixed list and there never being the mission types I want on there (being the
  14. Okay I am still trying to figure out this system after reading a TON of guides. I need things explained to me a bit better I think. 1) Advanced (blue and purple) craftable items - Is the only way to learn these by reverse engineerng? There are no vendors that sell these as schmatics or anything? 2) Is there any rhyme or reason to reverse engineering and how many times you have to reverse engineer an item to get a recipie? 3) Why is there no indicator as to the fact you have already learned the recipie from a RE of an item? 4) Do you ever get a notice of a success of a crtical crafting and how does a critical crafting success benefit the Cybertech as far as mods and armoring go? Or can we only crtically craft a earpiece?
