  1. The Jedi Consular story is most suitable for those who enjoy solving mysteries. Especially for those fascinated by the Force, this story brings up many new, original concepts. Based on my experience, one part of the story I really enjoyed was the relationship between my character and one of the masters. To me, my character formed such a strong connection with this person that I saw the relationship as being almost familial.
  2. I was at Disney World not that long ago. One of the places my family visited was Disney's Hollywood Studios. My brother and I went on STAR TOURS and discovered that the experience had been changed. Instead of the droid Rx, C-3PO is in the driver's seat. However, R2-D2 is the one controlling the ship throughout the experience. A silly yet funny thing is that one of the tourists is supposedly a spy wanted by the Empire. The transport escapes from a star destroyer and makes hyperspace jumps to Kashyyyk, Geonosis, and finally the Rebel fleet. Although I generally have reservations about making changes to something like this, I actually liked the new experience. Ironically, I think R2 is a better pilot than Rx despite both of them having similar traits.
  3. That is one change I would not like because the game is designed so that once one chooses a faction, it is a done deal. Allowing players to be wishy-washy about allegiances would ruin the game by altering the balance of power. In other words, gameplay will not be fair to other players. In addition, the characters would not blend well with an opposing side because of their abilities and personalities.
  4. I would very much like that. Since TOR is so expensive already, I would feel ripped off having to pay more money just to play it. In my situation, I do not even have a debit card. Even if I did, I would not spend that kind of money for a monthly subscription because I am still in college. Therefore, I need to redeem game cards when my play time starts getting low. Although free-to-play likely means that I will not be able to access certain features, I could still play it. Free-to-play is still a good option, considering that I do not play the game too often anyway.
  5. This is definitely a sticky topic. The conflict between the Jedi and the Sith is a picture of the real-life battle between good and evil. Because of the dark side's presence, there is always the possibility of someone succumbing to its lure. Therefore, a true sense of balance cannot be reached because the Jedi will always be fighting something.
  6. Like everybody else, this response is based on personal belief. No, Mace Windu would not get dark side points for choosing to kill Darth Sidious. Although the Jedi Code states that Jedi do not strike down defenseless opponents, one must keep in mind that the Dark Lord just slew three Jedi Masters. In fact, those three along with Windu were the Jedi Order's greatest swordsmen. Since Sidious committed mass murder, he had to pay for it with his life.
  7. I am not certain how you can compare the two. Although they are the same species, they are both from different time periods. Besides, Yoda should have much more experience than Vandar because he has likely learned things about the Force that Vandar never knew.
  8. When I first saw the two videos featuring HK-47, I was excited for TOR. Ironically, he is an assassin droid, but he is so hilarious. I remember from KOTOR one example on Korriban (provided that he is in the party) when he tells Shaardan, "Warning: Touch the master's blade and lose an arm, meatbag." Although I have not seen him yet in TOR, I am sure The Old Republic Team has done a fantastic job retaining his personality. Despite his dark side alignment and my light side preferences, I really enjoy his company. Cannot wait to see him!
  9. I am not even close to level 50, but I definitely understand your dilemma choosing an advanced class. When I looked up information on the Jedi Consular, I thought it would be extremely difficult for me to choose because I am a fan of both the double-bladed lightsaber and Force heal. In addition, I also had to consider whether I wanted to utilize stealth or telekinetics more. I finally chose to specialize as a Shadow, and I have really enjoyed the experience so far. However, in the future, I may create another Consular and make him a Sage so that I can have a broader experience with this character. Hope this information has helped you with your decision!
  10. Something I have noticed about the Jedi's ranking system is rather strange. After an individual passes initial Jedi training, he becomes an apprentice. Once he has passed three tests, he is elevated to padawan. Next, he must pass the Trials to become a Knight. At that point, he may take on his own apprentice and in turn earn the title of master. However, it seems that while one could have the title of master, he may not necessarily have the rank itself. Both Obi-Wan and Anakin are good examples. Kenobi is referred to as a Jedi Knight in Episode II, but he is clearly a Jedi Master in Episode III. Anakin is referred to as "master" by Ahsoka. However, in Revenge of the Sith, the Council denies him the rank of Master. That means only the Jedi Council can promote individuals from Knight to Master.
  11. That is a tough one. Since she was never seen in Episode III, I am under the impression she will die sometime during the Clone Wars. Even if she lives throughout the whole Clone Wars series, she very likely dies either as the 501st marches on the Jedi Temple or when Order 66 is executed.
  12. That was on the newest N.C.I.S. episode? That sounds really interesting, considering that McGee is a video game person.
  13. Most of the videos I have watched are interesting. However, the best ones are definitely the live-action cinematics. After seeing those, I can say for sure that there are things the saga never showed. For example, the "Return" video showed a confrontation between two Jedi and two Sith. In the "Hope" cinematic, when Malgus tried to stab Satele, she used Force energy resistance to absorb his lightsaber. Although some people may think that that is impossible, I can understand how that could happen, considering the nature of energy resistance. Still, another point to consider is that Satele could only have done that because she has an extraordinarily powerful connection to the Force, even during that time.
  14. I chose the Republic Trooper as one of my personal characters because of my overall serious personality. With regard to the storyline, Although I do not have much to say on companions, I have to say that Aric Jorgan is my best friend at this time. However, that may change as I make further progress. So far, I am having a thrilling experience!
  15. The Jedi Consular is definitely a challenging class to play. Unlike the Jedi Knight, playing as the Consular requires more tact and intellect in combat situations. I chose this character because of my personal interest in learning about new Force powers. As far as storyline, I recommend this character for those who enjoy solving mysteries.
