Hey all, trying to install the game on my laptop. Install went fine, but when I go to play, it changes the resolution of my desktop (horribly), opens a tiny window in the top left corner, I hear music for about a second, and it won’t go beyond that… Any ideas? For reference, Laptop Specs: Single NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB [VR Ready] Intel Core i7 7700K Quad-Core 4.2GHz (4.5GHz TurboBoost) 16GB DDR4 2400MHz (2 X 8GB)

I as just about to hit [Play] on the new KotFE story arc when I actually read the spoiler warning: 'something to the effect that class and companion stories would be changed by going forward' Does this change affect only the toon I am starting the KotFE story on, or will it affect my entire account? In other words, if I go forward with the KotFE story with my Jedi Knight, could I still go back and finish the Imperial Agent storyline (levels 25-50)?

I've been gone from the game since level 55 Cap (Makeb, I think?), and have just recently caught the urge to return. Holy crap, EVERYTHING is different!! My mailbox is full of gear (Doc's pants?!?!), stats have changed, companions have levels now? What are crates? A bit overwhelming. Anyway, is there a decent guide on the basics (e.g. what story line to pick up at 55, how do I use companions now, stat/talent priorities for DPS Guardian, that sort of thing)? Any and all help much appreciated.

Well, I guess I am in the minority here. I absolutely love T7. He was my goto guy the whole time leveling. I kept him in the best gear I could possibly find, and thus had no issues when it came to the final fight (comp-wise that is, I did wipe a couple times until I figured things out). I honestly had no clue about the gear chest until reading here just now. I was very disappointed when I could no longer gear him, and had to take Kira on dailies with me. With the recent patch, I now have T7 in full Mandalorian Wardroid gear, and he is relevant again..!

I am a little confused by the embedded post when it says I should go with an elemental relic because as a Vigilance Guardian, I: "don't have armor penetration". Isn't that what my Sundering Strike is? Or doesn't it count as such because it is limited to 20% vs the 30% of the Focus Guardian?

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the possibilities for my relic slots. I currently have Campaign Relic of Boundless Ages, and the Red Matrix Cube. My question is, should I swap out the Red Matrix Cube for another Campaign Relic, and if so, which one: - 30% 184 elemental damage - 30% 246 energy damage - 30% 184 internal damage - 30% 246 kinetic damage Or, is the 80 Cunning from the Matrix better than the above?

I have a level 50 Smuggler > Gunslinger on Rep side, and have just started an Agent > Operative Imp side (level 14). I know the two classes are mirrors of each other, but since I went for the other advanced class, will the game play be significantly different between these two toons? I really do not like the cover mechanic, and I thought the Operative would not use it that much, but I seem to be utilizing it all the time. Will that change as I level up, and get more abilities?

Preface: I am a Vigilance Guardian melee dps Last night in 16man EC, Kephuss fight, I received the bomb from the second trandoshan baradium bomber. I promptly ran under the mech, deployed my bomb, aaannnnddd died to the AoE damage under there. I then watched my guild down all obstacles, up to and including Warlord Kephuss himself, with only 15 people. So, I gotta ask, what the *&$^ do I bring to the table?!? I don't do massive dps like the sentinels. I don't have Transcendance, or Inspiration. My supposedly heavy armor is little more than paper mache based on the amount of strain I place on the healers (and yes, I am a veteran raider, I know not to stand in fire). TL;DR I am a purist who wanted to wield a single light saber effectively, but it would seem the game is highly slanted towards sentinels, and if you play a guardian you should have been a tank only.
