  1. Same level as I am, but my attacks don't do much damage and my companion is killed in under 10 seconds. Like I said, the quest is obviously broken for a lot of us. I've never had the fight last longer than 15 seconds before I was dead.
  2. There is nothing under the community menu that brings you to the forums. It assumes that everyone equates the word community to forums which they do not. This is just plain bad site design. They have tried to mash everything related to the community on to one page, whereas proper web site design would have forums in their own area and a link to them somewhere under the community menu. Not that I would expect any of the designers associated with EA to do things properly or follow any reasonable standards. This is just another in a long list of reason I will never be buying a game from EA again. This was the first one in 15 years and I had hopped they had their act together by now but things are a lot worse off now. If people would stop settling for crap and not buy their product until they designed things right, they might change their ways. But as my old producer at EA uses to say "Consumers are idiots, let see how fast we can get them to give us their hard earned cash for our crap".
  3. They are only optional if a player is not a someone who only likes doing quests, they will need to be done in order to level up. These bonus missions are just grinding / gathering quests used as filler XP because the dev team didn't have enough ideas / time to implement interesting quests for players. If EA still works the way it did when I worked there it is probably a time problem. These kinds of quest are dead simple to set up and don't require a lot of testing so once the main quests are put in and tested, any extra XP that will still be needed for leveling can be gained by setting up one of these generic sets of quests with the correct number of enemies to defeat. Most other MMOs I have played do the same thing, because not only does it make filling out the extra XP dead easy for the developers, once a new major expansion comes along they will want to speed up the leveling for the lower levels, and they can easily do that by removing all the bonus quests and reducing the XP needed to level by the amount given by those quests.
  4. It is very confusing how to find the forums with this new layout. Clicking on Community is NOT intuitive and goes against any normal web site design standards. I ended up clicking every link in the menu from left to right in order to find the forums because none of the names made any sense to me.
  5. This quest is just one of the hundreds of reasons I cancelled my account last night. I am level 33 and NONE of my attacks will do any damage to her. I've tried 5 times and the most damage I have done is around 100 points This quest and a lot of others are obviously broken for a lot of people because we can not damage the NPC we are supposed to kill.
  6. 1.2 convinced me that EA is not serious about providing casual solo gamers anything new or making the client run smoothly on high end machines, so I doubt I will be playing much more. From my perspective nothing has changed. Going back to LOTRO, since it is aimed at casual solo players (as well as hard core gamers). Too bad this festering pile didn't live up to any of the hype, it had a lot of potential. EDIT: I cancelled my account after playing a bit more. I've never seen a patch destroy the playability of a game so much. Too bad Lucas Arts decided to turn to the dark side (EA) for the development of this game
  7. Why does the game change my camera view when I travel by a speeder or enter / exit my ship? It is extremely annoying to have the game move my camera from zoomed in all the way to zoomed out all the way every time I go somewhere. If I wanted it changed I would have done it myself. Please fix this design flaw.
