  1. The thing is that the game has swoosh-sabers and pewpew-guns, therefor BW should be allowed to do what they want without any consequences
  2. The duping part is simple - they waited til 8 hours before patch which made loads return to the game only to find out that what the returned to is not there. (Have to head to bed, almost 1am and work tomorrow, I will read replies etc and come back, but not for another 8 hours )
  3. FYI: Played MMO's since EQ1, early in AO (now that was buggy, year after launch, but must say, still the best PVP MMO so far), beta tested AoC, Neocron and a few others, played EQ2 from launch, same with Vanguard which sucked from beta to far into live. So yes, I know MMO's can be buggy, but the fact is still promising, launching videos about content etc and not keeping up to their end of the bargain while expecting paying customers to sit back and be happy - that is failing.
  4. Well, still the same as I said earlier, they should not have tried and duped the whole PVP community (especially the ones resubbing for this release) Like I said earlier, if they would have gone out a week ago stating that "Sorry lads, we have everything except RWZ ready, we really want to get everything else out, but RWZ needs to be held back, so we will go with 1.2 without the RWZ for now" I am sure that you would not have seen this outcry of disgust. The way that BW handled it is what pisses me off the most (and I dare to say most off the people). For me it feels like they were trying to earn as much money as possible before breaking the news. Now they waited til 8 hours before the patch and then released the news, yet expects us to bow and accept the patch and pay for it while saying "Thank you BioWare", that is where the most of the anger comes from.
  5. We can take the Ilum discussion elsewhere (Ilum was a good idea, they should have focused on making people fight all over the zone, e.g. get rep's to use speeders out of the base instead of getting farmed, and force imps to guard all capture points all the time instead of having a blob of imps camped outside rep base), Ilum was a good idea, but with some work they might have pulled that off. Nort sure what you mean however that I want Ilum all over, I would have liked that wouldn't have lied and said RWZ will be in the patch up to 8 hours prior to patch - that was a lie, and the fanboys here will continue to say that "they didn't know until then" which everyone who works with some sort of development, bugtesting etc knows is a lie.
  6. For me a new WZ aint enough. I wouldn't want it broken either, but the lies (yes I use the term lies because I am certain (being in software development myself) that they knew long before yesterday that this was not ready for release seeing that they already had alternatives set up) pisses me off. That is where they went down the wrong path.
  7. Haha, I am guessing you are not a pvp'er. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't care about OPS, I don't care about legacy etc. I wanted PVP, and 1.2 up til this time yesterday was announced to be THE best thing happening to PVP in game so far. They failed that, and yet they expected us to pay and subscribe to the game. That they now come with hat in hand and say "In order to celebrate 1.2 we give you a months free gametime" (e.g. read: Of **** the community is not going to let this one slide, we better appease them somehow) doesn't mean crap. I am not willing to pay for a product that is not offering me what I want and what they said they would provide.
  8. 3 (now 4) warzones of pugging is not fun, I was looking forward to a full guild PVP group, all on mumble facing the challenge. Yes, I wanted the gear that comes with it, I wanted to stomp rep's in warzones with the guild, I do not however feel that I have to pug ~900 warzones for gear. Bioware have over and over c.rapped in the lap off the PVP community while expecting us to saying it is chocolate icecream. I guess this time the community caught up and said: Hey this is c.rap even though they tried to hide the c.rap with some caramel sauce in the end (by giving us 30 days free play)
  9. Hey, if the content that I am waiting for comes within the 30 days of free play, grand. I will try it. But I don't want to grind WZ, I don't want another OPS, I couldn't care less about legacy. For me the full 8 group PVP and ranked Warzones was the only thing keeping me in the game, they tricked people to resub, loads of people (me included) stayed in the game just for this, they announced 8 hours before patch that this will not be included and ~22 hours after seeing that the community got angry as hell, they throw in 30 days free playtime for a product that is not offering us what we want (e.g. the items in the patch that they omitted) I don't care about the 30 days free game time in a game that do not give me the content that I want, however I am more than willing to pay for a product that I gives me what I want.
  10. Well, they should not have announced it up to 8 hours prior to patch - that is false advertising and that is not doing us a favor. If they would have gone out, lets say a week ago and said - "Damn, we are sorry - everything in 1.2 is ready but we have issues with RWZ and can not include this without delaying the whole thing" - I would have accepted that and said fair enough lads, as long as it is coming. I am sure they knew before 11pm CET yesterday that they would not be able to include this, yet they waited til the very last minute to inform the players (the ones paying their salary) about this, even though they knew loads people were coming back to the game for this reason alone. That pisses me off, and that shows that BW is nothing more than a greedy corporation who gladly sacrifice their player base to make a quick buck.
  11. I love that people think that BW are doing us a favor. We are paying customers, we have the right complain about a product that we are not happy with, we have the right to cancel our payments to a producer that (in our opinion) supply a sub-par product. I will use the same example as I used earlier. I subscribe to a cable company who gives me channel 1, 2 and 3 for €X per month. After a few months, I am bored watching the same channels every day. The cable provider then informs me that they will include channel 4 in my channel package, for the same price. I think this is absolutely brilliant, and I think that channel four will be my favorite channel. 8 hours before the time when the cable company are supposed to give me channel four, they send out a message, saying that channel four might be included into my package in lets say a months time or so, they are not sure. I will then of course cancel my subscription with said company as they no longer provide the service I am looking for, nor are they providing a service they indicated that they would when they were running commercials about their new channels they would give out to their paying customers. I might return to the company in question if they include the channel that I am looking for, but I am not going to watch free re-runs just because it's free for a month.
  12. Ah, cool didn't know that, but then my forte is not within consumer law (or law at all )
  13. Doubtful since you agree to the EULA when you started playing the game. The thing we can do, is opt not to pay the monthly fee - which I have done, 5 days left on the account.
  14. That's all good, but why should we keep paying when the things we looked forward to in this patch are not implemented. I don't care about legacy, I don't care about the new ops. Sure, changing the UI - great, but that should have been in the game from the start. A new WZ, that will be fun for 3 days. Apart from the UI and the WZ - the only thing was ranked wz and 8 man pvp teams. Until this is implementet correctly, I chose not to pay for the game as I find nothing in the current game tempting enough to play it. Yes, I had great fun lvling up my Assassin and one Jugg alt, quest line was great (for a singleplayer game), but at 50 the only thing I care about is PVP, and after grinding WZ and WZ for BM gear, I don't want to keep doing that for another month (or so) until RWZ are released and I have no interest in playing other classes, so I do not want to add another alt. I might return once this is released unless some other game catches me interest and don't let me down. Of course, the developers are disappointed as well, but why shouldn't we complain? We are paying customers, we have the right to complain. If this game was a "single payment" game, then sure they can do what ever they want, but now we pay monthly and then I feel we have the right to complain or even stop paying the monthly fee if we (the consumer) feel that the company are not delivering the things we want in the game (especially when pulling said items 8 hours before patch-downtime). Edit: And yes, I have unsubbed, 5 days left on the account.
  15. Well, if are going on that route, yes up til now I have been paying for content currently in the game, however I was led to believe that my future payments would include RWZ, now that I realize that this is not the case I elected to stop my payments until the fee would include RWZ. Hence, my paid playtime ends in 5 days. If we see it like this: I subscribe to a channel package where I pay for channel 1, 2 and 3. After a while I am bored of all the re-runs on these channels, but the company says, well next month we will include channel 4 for the same price. I think, wow great I am really looking forward to watching channel four, it seems to be one of my future favorite channels indeed. The cable company then changes their mind and say that it may be 2 months until you get channel 4 in your package. Just like I am doing now, I would then tell the cable company to end my subsription, and I might get back to them when channel four is included in the package (provided no other company meanwhile offers a product that supercedes the current company's channel 4 deal)
  16. What you fail to understand is the following: Yes it is a game, a game that we pay a monthly fee to play, a game where BW promised content for us (who are paying this monthly fee) to enjoy as late as yesterday evening they still promised this content to the paying customer. Yes, it is a game, therefor I opted to end my monthly payment to a company who did not keep their end of the bargain. I was furious yesterday, and did rage on other forums and ingame chat about this, now I am just dissapointed and made the decision not to pay for services from said company. I might return in the future, but for now the game contains nothing for me to keep me in the game until RWZ and proper ways to earn PVP gear comes to the game (not the 3 to 1 conversion rate). So yes, I do understand that it is a game, but as a paying customer I have the right to complain, I have the right to stop playing the game and by doing that also stop paying when I feel that they do not provide what I expect for my money.
  17. Well, 60% of the actual update is today, rest is hopefully before 1.3
  18. Unsubsribed last night when I read this (made a post about it earlier in the thred, but then I didn't mention I was leaving. Reason is simple, I am a PVP'er, PVP is what I enjoy the most with games. I would never play a MMO without PVP, simple as that. SW:TOR had the best opportunity to make THE most epic PVP in the world. Built from the Star Wars Universe, two epic factions with planets that could host some wonderful battles. So, I bought the game, enrolled on a PVP server and joined the guild I played RIFT with. What happened, well, I have lvl'd two chars to 50 (and yes, the questing in SW is great) but I have not killed or been killed more than 10 times in quest areas in total lvl'ing these two chars. Fair enough, when I was lvl'ing Sengrella (my first char) I was told that once at 50, there is this PVP zone that is always packed with rep's to kill. It was laghell, and after 2 months of Ilum BW/EA realized that the zone sucked, so they killed it forcing me to grind WZ's instead. So, grinded WZ's instead, grinded to get my BM gear and valor ranks and read about the wonders of 1.2 - Ranked Warzones. Sounds yummy, to battle off against the best, climbing in rank, battle 8guildies against 8 from another guild. 1.2 is what kept me in the game (and I haven't played since release, so I feel sorry for those that have waited longer than me). Then on the night prior to the patch with capital P - they removed the only thing that kept me in the game. I understand that BW/EA are reluctant releasing something buggy, they should not release something buggy - But announcing it 12 hours before patch, when people have started to resub is ****** to say the least. I am sure that these bugs were discovererd earlier than 12 hours ago, and I am sure that they knew that the bugs were not going to be fixed today long before 12 hours ago. I am lucky, my subscription ends in 5 days, so atlest I haven't recently paid for a new month. Don't get me wrong, SWTOR is a good game(Story, questing - never had as fun lvling a char to 50 as I had in SWTOR), but once at 50 it is dull, 3 WZ (yes a forth is coming today, that will be fun for 3 days) only goes as far. I have done my share of raiding, and sure it can be fun to some extent, but I am not a PVE player as such, not since the EQ1 days when raiding was hard - now all the guides are on the web and any chimp with enough gear can down X raid-boss. This is not to pick on PVE players, if you enjoy it, by all means PVE the **** out of the game, and I have to say it was nice to raid against bots instead of the neverending stream of fantasy creatures - after having killed all the raidbosses a few times, then the fun is gone for me from the PVE side of things. But, now they removed the only thing worth looking forward to in 1.2. So, now I wait for Tera and GW2, hopefully one of those games that satisfy my need to gank unsuspecting questers.
  19. And this is when I cancelled my account. Bioware had the best PVP setting in the world, the Star Wars universe, Republics vs Imperials. They screwed that up with a non pvp play, no shared quest areas, one pvp zone that sucked arse to be honest. ( I mean, I have lvl'd 2 chars to 50 and I have ganked/been ganked less than 10 times in quest areas.... This is not a PVP game, even if playing on PVP servers.). Now, the only good thing about 1.2 is ranked PVP, they take that away. I wonder if they waited this long to mention this "setback" just to get enough re-subs or if they do not give a **** about the PVP community. I mean, removing valor requirement was **** enougn. why even bother gathering BM commendations for months when they are now useless. Screw you guys, I'm leaving this sinking ship of poo.
  20. The respec cost is just stupid, up to 100k for me now. The reason I respec is that I play one build in PVE for the daily's, e.g. I want force-pull and hp in pvp for my Assassin, and I do enjoy having some survivability In group PVE I want a Deception build for DPS as I am not a tank by any means. Sure it is easy to make money in the game, however as for me, on a work-night, the time is just enough for PVP dailys (tankish build) and some PVE dailys (this I can do either spec), if I am lucky however I get a FP/OP run as well, then I have to spec to DPS. Now, I am stuck dying easy in PVP as my hp/armor/resist is down as I speccing over to tankish build again, would cost me around 1 third of my total funds. This is a deal breaker for me, something that would make me quit the game in the future if I have throw away 500k+ on changing builds depending on what is expected from me. I don't mind paying some, e.g. capping it at for example 50k, but paying 100k, then 200k etc is just stupid. Either lower the prices, or give us dualspec (dualspec can be set on cooldown, e.g. once every 24 hours, otherwise it costs the price of respeccing).
  21. No FPS issues in the PVP world or normal 8man WZ. Ilum however is unplayable. I only do it for the daily/weekly, not because I enjoy it which is a shame considering the idea is great and I love pvp. Fix Ilum and I might stay longer in this game, as it is now it's tempting to cancel the game as the end game pvp content is unplayable.
  22. Hm are you sure? (or is that different at lvl 50?), I was watching my commendations, and I receiveed one more when I got an additional mvp vote.
  23. Don't get me wrong, not complaining about 7 meds, but that I get less rewarded from a better game than a worse one.
  24. Said win on both screens though, one was 6-0 other 4-2.
  25. No, I am having fun, I love the game as such. The story etc have been more than I would expect from a single player game let alone a multiplayer game. BUT: A game with factions that have PVP servers (I will not go into the issue of no open world pvp pre50, that is a thread for it self as I have seen 2 or 3 jedis during questing ) the lack of rewarding pvp players is significant. I am a pvp player, I honestly couldn't care less about killing X mob in a dungeon after reading a guide how to do it. Therefor, I find it quite sickening in a way that people not contributing to the cause of exterminating them damn Jedi's getting the same rewards from our leaders as I, who am throwing my life and limb into the middle of the it. I will of course not put into practice to AFK during a WZ, but I will try it once, just to see if a player not contributing more than 50% will get the same reward as a player doing his or her absolutely best for the team. I am a pvp player, I will not AFK doing the thing I love the most But, something is flawed, and that needs fixing.
