  1. All my ranged dps companions will not attack (run to enemy to close distance) beyond their 30m ranges. This also occurs when in healz mode. Once given attack command outside of 30m, they will not attack even if i close the distance to less than 30m and send another command to attack. All companions will stand still and the "in combat" mode will active, but not a single companion I have will attack the enemy. I have tested this on all 33 my main toon (scrinnick) companions... not a single one will run to enemy to be within their attack range of 30m. they all just stand still and do nothing. I must use the "passive" command to break their "attack" command, then move into their 30m range and send them to "attack" again. They don't even run to me to heal me if I attack enemy when I am outside of the 30m range to my companion. They will not close the distance to be inside their range. They all just stand still until the "in combat" mode had ended. Companion 'attack' button/command is completely broken, however, when using the individual attacks (the single named attacks), they will attack normally by running within range and firing the single attack. But the "attack" command is broken The only exception is K'Krohl, because he has the one "blast" shot that does not have a range limiter (in the description) on the shot for dps mode. However, when he is in heal mode, he is broken as well.
  2. Scoundrel Sawbones (healer) is the mirror of medicine operative. So use this one, same utilities, but different icons for each. This is a pve setup useful for both factions of the same class. http://dulfy.net/2017/03/27/swtor-5-0-medicine-operative-pve-guide-by-mac/
  3. We don't get paid enough money to waste time on the trash that leads into the trial room. Sith side doesn't have to klll them, why does pub side? There's no bonus for them so why force them on the mission when it's just a time waster?
  4. Good question from the OP, but will the super-duper special dev team, that's supposedly been working on this 2 month old bug actually address this question at all? (sadly this problem started with patch 1.2 legacy) For two months striaght now, it's been the same story to all paying customers dealing with this issue... be patient, it takes time to fix things... but only if it's not costing BW money I'm sure. /sarcasm Yep... it's doubtful they will fix it. Since they really haven't acknowledged it's continued existance since patch 1.2.3. Has anyone else heard about any dev team responses to what's wrong, or when it can be expected to be fixed for those few poor souls still dealing with it, 2 months later?
  5. Maybe now that they are done wasting time with this game upgrade, they will actually address the constant bugs that show up... like the bug that still isn't fixed for lots of people with gunslingers/snipers and their cover not functioning properly... what's that... do I still hear crickets for that fix? Glad to know I'll be able to dress my slinger to look good while I die in pvp from all those awesome bugs!
  6. I wish it were that easy of a work-around, but sadly I've recorded short vids of it working while not in motion also. I can drop the cover, get the 1 second cooldown (which shouldn't be there) and still be left standing or crouched, shooting the wrong weapon since the turn over on the crouch slots didn't activate properly. It's an entirely major malfunction to the main mechanic of the class when you have to use the crouch to just fire your big guns. Especially in order to get it to crit for immediate activation of charged burst (slinger), which I use under the crouch key bound slot. see this description of my bug... http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=453897&highlight=cover
  7. If you are still having the continued dissatisfaction of playing a bugged sniper/slinger, please see this post. You will need to make a ticket in order to get compensation for your wasted gameplay after they have "resolved" the issues. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4399421#post4399421 I tried to cut/paste that post into 2 forum titles so people would be more likely to read it, but they didn't like the cut/paste duplication of that forum thread. Hopefully this link will suffice and won't get deleted either.

  9. To all those people experiencing the bug with the gunslinger still, after waiting more than a week for a patch that failed, then waiting another week for another patch that had nothing to deal with it. And then only being told a week after that, they were investigating a bug, which wasn't even a concern for the players still experiencing the main bugs. (that's in reference to the bug with the mouse wheel cover issue... you can apparently just add it to the main issues instead) So.... If you feel cheated out of paying for this time waiting to play this favored class of slinger/sniper and you want compensation.... they may or may not give you compensation AFTER it has been fully investigated. They will not commit to providing for any compensation until the bug issues are resolved. Once they have "resolved" the issues, they will "provide compensation" for the paying customers as they see fit according to the amount of time it has taken them to correct the issues. Assuming, of course, you actually have the bug, and that you have created an in-game/phone tech ticket. So, if you have not made a ticket about any of the slinger/sniper bugs you're experiencing. I highly suggest you do so in order for them to know how prevalant this issue is, AND for you to get your compensation after they "fix" it again.
  10. Yep Invulon, this situation is so much worse than a simple mouse key bind. And it's funny they (Ellvaan in particular) are trying to use that as an excuse rather than help people to actually want to continue playing this class/game. As it is for me, if they want us to continue to be patient after 3 weeks of crappy gameplay, then why not compensate those who have the issue, or just compensate the slinger/sniper class in general with higher dps or armor buff's until it's fixed. Unfortunately, I'm sure out of the thousands (if not millions) of paying customers, we are the "few" who will not impact their profit. If we did, they would have address this situation sooner with full attention going to it. Besides, they probably think we'll just play/roll a different toon until it's fixed.... that's totally crappy customer service, but hey, it's not like the game isn't out of Beta and 5 months into its expected lifespan (I mean cashflow).
  11. Well, since we need specifics, instead of colloqiallism's... for the mathmaticians, I ran some generic unscientific tests after todays nonassociated patch 5/16/2012, that spanned a rough 30-40 min's period... (meaning it actually took longer since I had to take notes). So if some wants to calculate the incident vs. time factor for a percentage, they will have to replicate these similar tests on their own. Note: I only looked for the 1 second countdown pause generated after the crouch/cover is used, (and also whether the toon was still standing after a cover/shield is animated/positioned) for each occurance of the bug. There are a couple other factors associated with this but I tried to keep it simple and fast. This accuracy of the incidents of the bug accuring varies depending on the action prior to the initiation of the cover function along with which cover function is used (roll to/crouch to... cover). Which is why the patch last week specifically stated.... 1.2.3 • Corrected an issue that prevented Smugglers and Imperial Agents from taking cover in place while moving Basic Test results are: Speeder movement crouch to cover: 20 out of 20 times = 100% Running to crouch cover: 10-12 out of 20 times = +- 60% Standing in place crouch to cover: 8-10 out of 20 times = +- 48% Rolling to cover from a stand still: experienced 15 out of 20 times = +-75% (this is difficult to replicate in any short time frame since you have to wait for the mobs to respawn once you have a good cover location to use, and I also forgot to try it while running, so I will leave that aspect out). So, out of the 80 test samples, which were replicated 3 seperate times and caused the plus/minus variance (so sorry, I didn't feel like doing more arithmatic to get an average rate). These basic results are definately a high percentage of occurances of this bug.... still.... after the patch from a week ago, regardless of my initial generalizations. But, it's duly noted that generalizations and colloquial statements about percentages can/will always be trolled.
  12. speaking for other players? the OP stated... "Every time there's patch notes, I hope to read something along the lines of "An issue that caused cover to sometimes fail to activate has been resolved for Imperial Agents and Smugglers". (this is assuming she/he added both IA/Smugglers since he/she knows they are mirrored classes having the same issues with this bug still, and besides that... aren't forums for all people to comment on regardless of specifics or generalities) But if you still think you're being inaccurately accounted for in this forum post about IA/smuggler bugs... then why not post a new one thanking Bioware for actually fixing the cover bug most people were having which caused Bioware to implement their 1.2.3 patch? Instead you'd rather sound like your upset at you being included in a general topic about IA/smuggler bugs on a forum for such? Good to know every patch works perfectly for everyone, and any so called "in the minority" shouldn't raise their voice to the contrary.
  13. nope, that's NO exaggeration. it happens practically every other time i crouch/cover now, running or standing still. for a day or two after the last weeks patch, it slowed down, but now it's near constant. if i could record videos while pvp'ing (without hard core lag) then i would just to show dev how bad that is. and yes, i've tried running videos, but the only good ones are of when i'm doing pve, and dev didn't even care to look at them. but i'm glad you aren't experiencing it. so mock it if you like, but at least you can enjoy the game more fully whereas some of us can't.
  14. Lol. he's no apologist, more like a troll trying to stir up trouble. Condesending tones about others never help anyone, but they make the trolls feel good I'm sure. Lots of people are experiencing this huge bug, with and without movement. Just glad there are plenty of trolls about to add more poor emotions to an already frustrating dysfunction.
  15. Yep Candyman, you're amoung the few who either don't have the issue, or don't care about the issue and just continue to play with it. However, Lots of people (according to all the comments about bugs lately), are definately experiencing what the few are not. I've even asked around on my server, and there are some who either don't experience it, or just don't care enough to say it matters. But, Lots of us do care about this issue, since this bug is the primary function of the slinger/sniper.
