Can I have your stuff?

One questions as I honestly do not know the answer. Are Cartel Weapons advertised as end game weapons? I ask because the Cartel weapons work as intended to my understanding. Its an item I can use to progress through leveling of the character and up to a gear score of 306. I then hit the new "end game" and now have to use that weapon. So the Cartel weapon is still working, I feel honestly the main concern is the outfitter not having a weapon option.
