  1. My question for the Pyros would be: Why does a 2nd highest tier talent (Rapid Venting) grant Alacrity to a spec that is killed by it? At the moment, alacrity does not shorten the internal cooldown of Prototype Particle Accelerator. This Cooldown is 6 seconds. This just happens to be 4 Global Cooldowns. By shortening GCD, you are possibly killing your heat management and damage as a Pyrotech Powertech, as you now need 5 GDCs to proc, instead of 4. This also means that you are able to use Rail Shot less often. Is this intended, or a bug? If this is indeed intended, what is your justification for it? If this is a bug, would you be so kind as to fix this as soon as possible?
  2. You probably missed the post about Warmonger beating Coral 7v8 in huttball: http://i.imgur.com/nO5rphX.jpg1 This was 13.8.2012, so GW2 launch was just around the corner, and that's when WM quit SWTOR. So, please Kevin, be so kind and post some of these wins you had against them. Because, it's no Warmonger that I ever played in. Where is the proof? I'm wating.
  3. Yes, you created a guild and were the top team in a dead game with no competition. Kudos. At least the game wasn't dead when WM won "without competition". See, those are two different things. To dominate, or to simply be the only one playing.
  4. So, you want to hide YOUR incompetence behind bad players in YOUR team? Ok. Let's compare. Here You are. Please explain why you were on the bottom of that list. Why you seemed to fail at everything it seems. You all died pretty much the same amount, so it's not that. You just didn't do a lot of damage it seems. Two months not enough to learn 5 button rotation? Last I checked, Marauders were quite strong in those days (shocking, right?). You had the wrong spec? Well, you should've known better then. Could it just be that you were beaten simply by better players than you? Here's Feta in a similar situation, except... He did 200% the DMG of their "**** PT", 125% the protection of their "**** tank", with a "**** OP healer" that did less than 50% of the enemy OP healer's healing, and also the sniper on Feta's team seemed to be sleeping the entire match (140k damage compared to Feta 660k). He also had some deaths, so it's not like he was the only one doing something 24/7. Still, Feta's team nearly won, and he was strong throughout the game. So please, don't hide your own incompetence behind the team you played with. We've all been in both strong and weak teams. But exceptional players are still exceptional. You're not the exceptional player you think. Or, at least you weren't. I agree, there were no competition. But it wasn't like you were the shining beacon of hope, who just happened to hang out in bad company. You actually just weren't that good. /endrant. @Yummy: I already addressed this. This would just mean Warmongers were pioneers, and others slow learners. I don't think so. Warmongers were Hardcore with a mission. And they took winning seriously. Slackers went out the door immediately. No dead weight. When was the last time you kicked someone because they didn't show up in rankeds? Nevertheless, Warmonger wins. Either simply better, or faster learners. Take your pick, Yummy. Take it and weep... ...I know, the truth hurts.
  5. Then why didn't you get there? There were a lot of guilds and premades back then (Extreme, Da***, Impetus, ACE, Coral, Harbinger, MVPs, etc were all there.) That also means there was actually competition. It saddens me that you think you are so good these days, having played against the same 2-3 teams over and over again for a year. Progress requires diversity, and you haven't had that for a long time (see what I did there?). Why don't you define exceptional then. My definition is to play the class/spec to its full potential. We had a lot of that going on in Warmonger. The only repeatable and real exploit I know/knew was how to get out of the voidstar attacker starting area using guardian leap (fixed now, so it's ok). Sometimes the game spawned a guy outside, and people mixed this bug with the exploit. I learned about this exploit far after my Warmonger career. We never used it. We also didn't use Field Respec, nor "macros"... I can't speak on behalf of others, but there was never a word of exploiting in TS when we played. If they did something, they did it without others in the team even knowing about it. See, when I joined I was actually curious about this myself. But, it turned out they were just good, better than others. It's that simple, really. Using tactics and teamplay that other teams adopted months they were gone. Way ahead of others. You can say that people weren't as good back then, but that just means others were slow learners, and they were pioneers. My gameplay certainly hasn't revolutionized since then, so hey, maybe you're all better than us now. Maybe arenas will be fun after all. But, unlike the bitter part of this community, I actually played in Warmonger, then FUBAR, ACE, DRAMA, Harbinger etc. So, I can tell from experience, and from the bottom of my heart: Warmonger truly was an exceptional group of players. Other guilds had a lot of exceptional players too. But they were scattered, and they always seemed to have someone pulling them down. This sums it up pretty well. Look at the third guy on the top. Poor him... So, 8v8 season 1 never came, and now the final curtain is closing. This is my testament and my ultimatum to a truly great team. Thank you for the games we played, and for the fun we had. This goes to all the teams that played, from patch 1.3 to 2.4. Thank you.
  6. I don't see Easyway there m8. Yeah I've played in FUBAR in it's haydays. ACE too. Then DRAMA. Beat some Impulse *** in Harbinger too. MVPs asked me to do some too, but I was too busy back then. Basically any top team there was, I was in it. Later, however, I was quite impressed by the progress IRS and Coral made. Then again my m8 Aseko joined them...
  7. Pic or didn't happen. Also, look at the screenshots. I'm sure you'll be able to figure this one out. One game. Voidstar ninja cap. Was it you Roudy? I'm guessing not.
  8. Warmonger quit because of GW2 and having achieved 3k rating. And, to this day the ranked warzones are unchanged from those days, except for one new warzone. So, I guess it was the right call, don't you think? @Whasp: Yes. After 3k rating, there was not much to drive the players forward. The game was getting boring (Winning 400 warzones in a row gets tiresome), and GW2 looked promising. Make it what you like. Also, I'd be glad if there were new exceptional PvPers to play with, that doesn't know Warmonger. They don't have anything to be ashamed of. But all the players who did play at that time, I can't but feel the bitterness in the air. You and everybody else who never beat Warmonger can pretend you were just beaten by "a good setup". Doesn't change the fact that you never beat them. What was this "good setup" then? Does Gerikke know? Stacking PTs? Here's a game I like to call the "Avenged Sevenfold". 7v8 vs. Coral. 1 Powertech DPS. 6-3. Warmonger was good because they didn't carry dead weight. You were slipping, you were out, although from the previous screenshots you can clearly see Raydra somewhat lagging behind Feta and Imperialtrooper in every way. Since those days guilds cannot afford this as there's not enough exceptional players to choose from anymore. I'll always honor Skulm's leadership, and the titanic trio that was Croustibat/Upzie/Spoq. Imperialtrooper and Feta killed the rest. P.S: I lost one game in my entire Warmonger career to a Voidstar ninja cap. Feel free to post it. There's 8 guys that can claim to have beaten me in my glory days.
  9. No competition reminds me of this, this, and this all day every day. Now, who's that non-factor on the bottom of that list, eh? You're right about one thing, though. All the hard core pvp players have left. They were called Warmonger.

  11. I don't get the first one. But the second one is nice. A truly great game played by Feta there. Notice the protection compared to both Mannovai and Keninorz. He did 25% more than they did combined. I guess they were busy tunnel visioning him. For 12 deaths less, you did extra 150k damage too. Well played. A true blast from the past. Thank you. But enough of that. The topic of this thread is real life pics. Please lets stay on topic, Aseko.
  12. I'm talking about the pic you linked me.
  13. He said that he was disappointed. I'm guessing it was about your looks. I disagree. However, I need to see a picture from the back to make a full 360° evaluation. For the front, I give A-. Because you had clothes on.
  14. I brought in the +3% crit, because people seem to think it's awesome, but 1% boost to DMG is not, when the difference of the two in total DPS done is really not that much (1%). This is of course just in theory, as we'd have to further investigate how much total DPS is done by elemental/internal in AP, and tech in Pyro. But, that was the point. People generally have trouble with %, and even bigger problems when the variables are small, and seem insignificant.
  15. You mean a sorc healer killer? There is no way a tech DoT based build is ever going to kill an equally skilled operative/commando healer. Cleanse cleans all you DoTs, and you don't have heal reduction talents like pure DPS classes. This ends up in you doing no damage whatsoever, and the healer continuing business as usual, even healing his/her teammates. Not to mention that the CD reduction to interrupt is in AP...So yeah.
  16. I don't know if this has been addressed/asked yet...But the top question should be: Why Mercenary pushback has like 1 second delay, but Commando is instant? Fixing Unload so it doesn't bug every third time would be nice too.
  17. Don't mix PvP/PvE gear. Either Full PvP, or Full PvE. Some stuff like relic/matrix cube is an exception.
  18. Better animations, as in looks, or mechanics? VG/Commando has superb animations considering mechanics compared to imperial counterparts. F.e instant pushback (merc has like 1 sec delay), and instant 1 proc on pulse cannon (flamethrower will miss the mark more often). I have no idea why BW has not ironed these out. But, PT/Merc animations LOOK better.
  19. Flamethrower already hits like 10k AoE in 3 seconds. You want to double the DPS (10 in 1.5 seconds)? ...Then again, it's not like it would be op compared to smash... I think it would be actually cool if AP had 1.5 flamethrower proc, but realistically they'd have to get rid of the damage increase and stacks. That would be fine. I don't like stack builds in PvP. Too restrictive rotation. Ok, I have to explain some things here. First, the tank stance increases the measly DoT. 8% to no DMG is still no DMG (which is what the DoT really does, nothing). So, why 1%, when pyro gets 3% crit? Here's why: Because 3% crit does not mean 3% more damage. It is dependent of your critical multiplier (surge). Let's assume you'd have 70% critical multiplier (this is the soft cap, so going over this is unlikely). +3% crit would increase your dmg, not 3%, but 0.03 x 0.7 = 2,1 %. Remember, this is with the intended max surge. The benefit of +3% crit decreases as you go down in surge. Now, I agree that 1% is not enough. 2% would be on par with 3% crit. And no, the talents do not seem to affect the 1% so much: 1.05 (stance) x 1.06 (tank talent) x 1.01 (AP talent) = 1,12413 1.05 x 1.06 = 1,113 1,12413 - 1,113 = 0,01113 (1,113 %, so still pretty close to 1%) Whereas: 1.05 x 1.06 x 1.02 = 1,13526 1,13526 - 1,113 = 0,02226 (2,226 %, so not too much above pyro 2,1 %) Feel free to use this in your question to the devs on why it's 1% only. Could be because of some procs and talents up the tree (increased critical). Because, when you add 30% critical multiplier to 70%, you get 100%. And then, +critical = +dmg (with 100% critical multiplier +3% critical equals +3% overall damage on average). So I'll admit, 1% is a tad too little. Could have something to do with the fact that pyro is the consistent damage dealer spec, and AP the burst spec? Sounds funny these days. Compared to what the Pyro was back in the day...
  20. gg wp. Someone inside BioFail missed the the first lecture on how keeping old clients is always more beneficial than buying new ones.
  21. Nope. The question still stands, and it's generally a rule to not double post, but to use already existing threads.
  22. BioWare rejected the sequel (KoTOR 2) due to time limitations (LucasArts demanded the sequel in 14-16 months). So, KoTOR 2 and 3 were supposed to be made by Obsidian. KoTOR 2 was cut short (You can get the mod to get the real ending), and KoTOR 3 never got green light. But it was in development. Most of the Characters. Most of the items. Most of the planets. Most of the story. They were all made. KoTOR 3 is still out there. If only this game didn't destroy the legacy so hard...
  23. The sad part is that this is actually true, as much as I hate smashers. Any good healer can heal through DPS 1v1 easilily, and no, it's not ok. If healing = DPS, healers have advantage. You cannot LOS your own heals. So, even if you are focused, you will do healing 100% of the time, but DPS won't do maximum amount of DPS 100% of the time. The situation is even more unbalanced since op/scoundrel heals can heal themselves AND keep them nice HoTs on their teammates. There shouldn't be healer only classes. They should close the gap between the trinity, so that DPS is something that ALL roles have to do somewhat. That's just my opinion though. But heals being overpowered is a fact.
  24. I guess someone didn't play RWZ for 6 months with bubble stuns. That's enough validation to ignore you. Good day.
