  2. 19/22/0 lol really?....... you should have 18/23/0 and you are not the problem the problem is you think you can tank those 2 alone in a 16 man raid you are wrong, i dont know how they are in 8 man but i still think everytime you get Frozen another one will get **** and that person is the 2nd highest Threat in there....
  3. if you ask me it should scale with our Endurance stat. the more we have the more it absorb. and Tank in full EV/KP Nightmare mode Gear should absorb something close to 3k if not 4k imo. scale it down when in PVP if its to OP in PvP but this is PvE. 3k to 4k and scale on Endurance. as it is now i think it absorb around 1500 some say 1k others say 1.8k, and it would b nice to have some number on that Absorb and a way to increase its power if we want to.
  4. this is what i use im a Hybrid for Ops and this is the best you can get as Jugtank 18/23/0 Ondesvin btw. can you maybe add this info to your Guide so you can show how Taunt works and why its the best Threat Skill we got? Daellia

  6. well did you use the right hybrid build? many of the "so called Hybrid builds" out there are just plain wrong and it looks like most of them havent tryed there own crap builds out......

  8. yea im sorry, and back to topic, i would love for us to get some skill that reflect blaster fire back to range mobs, and they could do something here to help us with the AoE Threat we are short on, not to mention the visuals would make it even more cool to play tank! give the tanking tree 9 sec. Blade Storm, Commanding Awe, Unremitting, and some kind of HP Buff.
  9. ok you did't play WOW but you would rather quit the game then use Taunt to gain more Threat? Taunt is the best Threat Skill we got? what the hell is wrong with you? 30% more Threat then you allready have every time you use Taunt from Range or 10% more Threat everytime you use Taunt in Melee, and you dont want to USE AN ABILITY THAT GIVE YOU THAT MUCH THREAT!!! well im stunned you might as well Quit now then for they havent fixed it and wont fix it... and i dont depend on Taunt i USE IT im not stupid to give up on that much Threat, and its of GCD so i dont waste any time using Taunt when im Building Focus and Spending Focus, and the fact you did't answer my Question, do you use Taunt in the first 30 sec to 1 min of a Boss fight? i think you do or another tank does and in doing so you are in my Boat so why not use it more often if you dont need it for Tank swaping? and you call the Hybrid a worse tank then Deep Defense, i want to know what gave you that brainfart.... plz do share you awesome Skills with a noob like me will you? give me some stats some talent that makes Deep defense better then the Hybrid. PS im sorry english is my 3rd language, but thx for correcting me!
  10. yea i know, but if you are on a range boss and in hybrid spec. you just run out taunt charge in every 15 sec. and you get 30% more threat and a 4 sec 20% damage reduction combo, it insane and stupid how Taunt works, but if you look at 16 man Fights you most likely have 2 tanks and they swap Threat often and in doing so they build huge amount of Threat that way alone, and if you notice it you have a less likely chance to loos agro when there are Tank swaping. to the Hybrid problem as many will call it, they need to give us the Unremitting, and Commanding Awe from the Vigilance tree, if they do that the Hybrid is dead well allmost dead there are the problem with 9 sec Blade storm and 12 sec Blade storm. 9 sec Blade Storm Unremitting Commanding Awe those 3 are why we go Hybrid, they need to fix this, i dont mind how Taunt works, you need it in a Rotation and i love that Taunt aint a backup "ohh crap button" when the raid fails, but they should change the tool tip so every tank know how it works.
  11. and im telling you we dont have any Threat problems in the Hybrid class at all, and i did't say you should stop DPS on the boss, i told you that after 2 min all the tanks can stop dps and just Chain Taunt, if you dont get that Taunt is the best Threat building skill we got you dont know how to Tank in Swtor, "THIS IS NOT WOW!!! get that into your little head will you!" and AoE roflmao.... you have 20% more damage to Force Sweep and Cyclone Slash and you think that will help you to hold the Threat and a Hybrid cant hold the Threat on the trash in EV or KB or EC all it takes is one DPS to go max out with AoE and we both lost control. the DPS can if they want to pull Threat of the tank on the first 30 sec to 1min. and its like that in most MMO's so dont say you can from the first hit on a Boss maintain the Highest Threat on a boss not using Taunt, when the DPS goes max out on the boss, that is a lie plain and simple. or your DPS are just bad, or you might say good, for they know they will pull Threat of you and hold back there DPS the first 30 sec. and dont tell me that Focused Defense is not a CD you cant use for it dumps Threat..... 3 min into a fight both your CDs are down or whatever if you used Taunt to build a huge Threat pool, just use Focused Defense, then Taunt a milisec after, pop Combat Focus if you are at 6 Focus or under and spam some Foucs builder, and only keep Blade storm and Riposer on CD. for 10 sec. and now you have 3 Really nice CDs as a tank. that is really hard to understand aint it?, ohh if you loose Agro after your Taunt goes off use AoE taunt and you got the boss again but you shouldt need it. and you can use it early in the fight you just need to Combine it with one or two Taunts. Hybrid! > Deep Defence!
  12. well i dont like this at all... there are reasons why ppl started to use Hybrid spec in in the first place. pre 1.2 and now in 1.2+ Taunt is the most insane Threat builder in the game, the more HP the boss have, the better Taunt becomes. after 2 min in a fight, tanks can just chain taunt and keep agro on the bosses forever and ever..... how taunt works in Swtor. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=341126 in Pre 1.2 we could get 4% more hp like other tanks out there, and 4% flat damage reduction really nice if we went deep Vigilance, and we got 4 sec immunity to CC after each charge, Threat not a problem just chain Taunt. and we got better surviability then Deep defence... in 1.2 they changed some skils, but did't give the Tank the talents from the Vigilance tree we wanted, in fact they just buffed our Single target Threat and to some degree our AoE threat....... so we are now in a 18/23 Hybrid class and in 1.2 we are even more insane then pre 1.2. 1th we have Sonic barrier on a 9 sec CD, Deep Defence have it on 12 sec CD. 2nd we have a flat 4% damage reduction, Deep defence have 4% shield chance and 4% to internal damage. 3rd we have a new 45 sec. cooldown (15% damage reduction 600+ hp heal for 10 sec) deep Defence have only 600+ hp heal for 10 sec. 4th we still have CC immunity for 4 sec and 20% damage reduction after each charge. deep Defence have 20% more damage on our two AoE abilities. if they put two points in Focus. to sum it up, Bioware dont want us to play in a Deep defence tree as tank in fact they wans us as hybrids......
  13. you should remove the 2 points in Profound resolution, and the 1 point in stasis mastery... with these 3 points you should use 1 in Courage for a low cost Blade storm, and 2 points in Awe. the point of the hybrid build is max Migitation and Awe and Blade barrier is what you aim for to make this happen... if you dont go for Awe in Vigilance there is no point going deep in that tree and you might as well go deep Defence and gain more from that. the 1.2 hybrid is better then the Pre 1.2 hybrid we get Blade barrier every 9 sec.... and we get Focused defence 15% damage reduction 600+ heal every sec for 10 sec. with a 45 sec. cooldown..... and we are not as focused starved as before..... we are stronger now and even stronger then the 31/8/2 Defence knight.
  14. and still every pre 1.2 hybrid tanks used taunt in there rotation to maintain Agro on bosses. hell even deep defence tanks used it and found out when they did they had no problem keeping agro on the bosses. and it have been proved i just cant find the post. il look for it but someone did the test and i can confirmed that it works for me, if i dont use taunt in my rotation i can loose agro, but if i use taunt in my rotation i wont loose agro at all. after the first 30 sec of a boss fight that is. here it is read it and use it, this is the post im talking abourt. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=341126
  15. and to help you out even more, for that is not 100% right when you say its get you back on top of the Threat, it just dont give you 1 more threat then the person that have the highest threat, you gain much much much more. take a look at this post under Threat Theory. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=425#13 your Taunt is the best Threat building tool you have..... you can in theory at some point just stop everything and keep using taunt on CD and that is all the agro you need to hold the boss on you for ever.
  16. ppl dont you get it we did't have huge Threat issuse with the 14/27 build pre 1.2, we had some focus starvation in 14/27 over the deep Defence build.......... in 1.2 they buffed the hybrid class to new hights and yes they buffed the threat generation in Deep defence aka. 31/x/x but the Hybrid is just insane now, 18/23 is the new build you want you are not Focus starved like pre 1.2 14/27 and you can now Use blade storm on every CD in 18/23, you couldt do that in 14/27. any Hybrid build that dont take advantage of Blade barrier and put one point in Courage will not use the Hybrid for its max uses......... and to make this clear for every tank out there, your best Threat generation TooL are your Taunt and AoE taunt. and when you chain Taunt you build insane numbers of Threat the longer the fights goes on, if you dont know what Taunt does in this game i suggest you look it up in the Tank Role forum and learn to use it. We never had an issuse with Threat pre 1.2 Hybrids and we sure as hell dont have it in 1.2, the first 30 sec have and will allways be a problem, but nothing that is a problem in 16 man with 2 tanks Chain taunting the boss..................
  17. 18/23/0 this is the best mitigation and less focus staved build you can get atm. if you want more Focus then go deep defence 31/8/2. im used to play on my sith warrior. but i just rerolled to Red eclipse and i made a Guardian this time. still low as Guardian, but SW and JG are the same. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500hMGzuoMZcGr0rhzzM.1 18/23/0. imo the best tank build out there for PvE! PS. The best Threat generation tool tanks have are our Taunts, and should be used in our Rotation, unless you fight bosses were you need to swap, or on bosses that reset Threat! then you need to be more carefull and know when to save your Taunt! but you should still use Taunt and often

Crymson-Raider i dont think the bosses are immune to Quake, so the 5% reduction in hit should not be something you would want to mess with imo. the more hit the boss have over 100% the less defence chance you have agains him. maybe 2 points in Quake can do it for then you will have 66% chance and in vengence hybrid you will have 2 hit with smash before Quake runs out. "2 x 66% chance to proc it" but that needs some real testing before i would want to reduce any points in Quake.

  20. this is my hybrid tanking spec for PvP and PvE. i made it for PvE but it is just as usefull in PvP Ondesvin Hybrid 1 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101hMGzuoZcGr0rhzzMZ0M.1 now for those that know the old Hybrid tanking spec, we had some problems with Rage, aka Force scream was allmost impossible to cast due to Rage starvation, and we had some problems with AoE threat over a deep 31 Immortal Tank. well im here to tell you that in 1.2 they fix that problem and i think this spec is even better and even more powerfull then pre 1.2, we still have a base 4% damage reduction over the deep Immortal tank and we have a 45 sec cd that gives us 15% damage reduction, and we loose Sonic barrier and 4% shield chance. Ondesvin Hybrid 2 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101hMGzuoMZcGr0rhzzM.1 here we give up 20% damage in Smash and Sweeping slash, both skill are for Trash pulls anyway, and you gain Sonic barrier on a 9 sec cd were the Deep immortal have a 12 sec cd. i have to say on paper it looks good. but i know it works in 16 man ops. with these hybrid spec i have self buffed 19910 hp 7502 Armor 50.99% Damage Reduction. 25.31% Defence Chance, DC rating 526. 42.10% Shield Chance, SC rating 462. 41.28% Shield Absorption, SA rating 247. im using Veracity Implants and ear. over crafted Columi. Veracity rating is to good to give up for the extra hp. Columi crafted implants and ear. i still need 5 armor with augment slots that another 90 rating and i still need 4 Rakata Armor mods and enhancement thats 1% more armor and 20 rating. and 30 endurance = 300 hp. but im close to a full Rakata geared tank. but you should try it out and if you are used to the old Hybrid spec then you will come to love the new one for they gave us even more love then they gave the Deep Immortal tanks. we can debate if Sonic barrier is good at all, but i havent seen a patch notes that say they gave Sonic Barrier some love, and last i checked it give something like 1000 damage absorbtion. but i can be wrong.
  21. well first of all i think Bioware wanted to give us some love but not some OP love, and that is good now they just have to work a little with it. 1. For PvP the heal is okey, and the rage is step, but if you have a Vengence/immortal spec, you get 15% damage reduction and that is really a nice skill to have. and the rage is not bad if you skill the talent where you get rage when they CC you. i would say that here the skill is what i want in PvE as Main Tank. 2. For PvE DPS, the skill aint that bad, yes it cost 4 rage but its faster to use then Intercede and you still have intercede to help others out with Threat dumps, i would suggest they lowered the cost of this skill to 2 rage if you are in an Offensive stance. 3. For PvE Tanking, well it reduces my threat and i would for love of god not dare to use this on bosses Nightmare mode, if i loose agro ppl will die, and i suggest here that they change it so when you are in Tanking Stance you wont loose threat. but if you ask me this skill should be something that would change as we change stances. 1. so if im tanking i would get the passive 15% damage reduction when i use it and i wont loose agro... 2. And when im DPSing i dump Threat, and loose rage if i get hit every sec for even more Threat dumping. 3. and the skill should't cost 4 rage, but should cost Zero rage to activate and 2 rage every sec. If Bioware would change it to this! i think most juggernauts would be happy, i just dont know if the other classes would like that .
  22. hehe yep, been drinking alot the last few month due to swtor i dont pug much not when i know ppl cant hold there DPS in there pants...... hell im having huge problems with my guild m8s on ops and FPs, but they are more LOL moment when a dps runs first in and pull agro or when they spam so much AoE on the wrong Priority mobs... but in most cases i just wont use taunt to help them out, if they cant hold there dps in the pants before i start to dps i let them die, that way they might learn to play this game, then there are the priority list that most dps still dont know. DPS Priority list: Normal > Silver > Gold > Boss. Tank Priority list: Boss > Gold > Silver > Normal. but cheers, buttom up.
  23. wow you are a noob arent you? 1 rage every 3 gcd will make us wait 12 sec to fire off one spell unless we get hit alor of times every sec then we can fire 2 spell of every 12 sec one AoE and one 10m range yea that help us soooooooo *********** much that we dont need anything else eh? why dont you get you facts right before you write **** like this again?
  24. im a jugger tank and i have to say that Kaon is the best flashpoint of them all its fun and have some really nice incounters, yes your healer, DPS and you as Tank need to be on the ball at all times if you want to make it really easy but i for one hope they make more flashpoints like this one and a operation. Kaon showed me that they can if they really work at it make Swtor a really awesome Endgame raiding mmorpg.
  25. yea and you just want to tank with HP and power like BWs Rakata gear show us.... ffs. i hate the stats on our tanking gear.
