  1. Personally, the tactical FP's are not designed to be run with companions. Also, Kilran's laser mechanic is suppose to be avoided. You should not be eating the damage during this phase. LOS him around the boxes to get through this mechanic without taking damage. This will most likely require agro from a RL person and not a companion though. (Yes, I just challenged those to complete the FP with a tanking companion. Have fun.) Edit: I confused Kilran with Colonel Daksh.
  2. I have an issue with the above statement regarding Shield and Absorb. These two stats work together as well, so why are they not being combined like Crit and Surge? Shield is not effective without Absorb, and vice versa. If you're going to streamline the gearing for DPS then it should be streamlined for the Tanks as well, in my opinion. *Sorry if this topic has been covered already as I did not read through all 51 pages of this thread yet.*
  3. Solution to all things not working in SWTOR. Just use the same mechanic developed by players in Corruptor Zero's Anti-Gravity Field. It's the devs way of making PvE content more PvP friendly.
  4. We ran 16m SM Ravagers yesterday. We too had damage control issues. I was researching the fight through me combat log, and the problem that I found is that the Floor Vents (fire) is ticking way too quickly. On one fight, I got hit for over 10K damage 3 times at a rate of 1 per every 0.001secs. On top of that, the Sick of You was going on the main tank without a knockback sometimes. This was immediately following the Floor Vents causing a total damage spike of 55K+ over the course of 1 sec. Not sure if this is "working as intended" but "appropriate action" should be taken in my opinion.
  5. I wasn't aware that Master Strike built force. I thought it only built Centering on each hit.
  6. Yeah, sorry I missed the free Focused Burst with 3 stack of Koan.
  7. Oofalong, I see a force management issue with your rotation. It begins with your 2nd concentrated slice. If you are not taking any damage then Rebuke is not generating force for you (assuming it's one of your utilities). In this case, the 2nd Concentrated Slice is using up too much of your force. This will puts you in a position where there is not enough force to activate the Slashes at the end of your rotation. Again, this all depends on the original problem above. If your are not taking damage then you are not building Centering as quickly. So, assuming that you are not the focus of attack, you will not have the force or Centering to prolong this rotation as written. As a side note - See this is where Sentinels get a bad rep. Everyone complains about the Sentinel tank, but see it's not our fault - it's Bioware's. They designed us to have maximum DPS only when we are taking damage. Here is the rotation that I have used. I will put Force pool numbers in parentheses. Force Leap +3 force (12) - Only used as an opener. Zen +12 force (12) - the max is 12, so make sure to use force spending abilities next to utilize the 3 extra force. Focused Burst -3 force (9) Concentrated Slice -5 force (4) +1 force refunded (5) Blade Storm +1 force (6) Master Strike 0 force (6) Zealous Strike +6 force (12) Force Exhaustion -3 force (9) Zealous Leap -2 force (7) Focused Burst -3 force (4) Blade Storm +1 force (5) Slash/Dispatch -3 force (2) +1 force refunded (3) Slash/Dispatch -3 force (0) +1 force refunded (1) - should actually end with 4 force in resource pool if not wasted on beginning Zen. Rinse and repeat. My 2 cents. Please feel free to rip me a new one.
  8. We have been experiencing the same issue on our raids night this week. To fix this (and hopefully this is just temporary Bioware), we had those players with a high ping to basically stand right on top of an assigned players with a consistently low ping. This helped us to get everyone into position and pass multiple crosses in a row, which is basically 95% of this fight.
  9. Below is the HM STrategy that our progression team utilizes for defeating HM Tyran. Thank you to all the "Team Sexy Beast" members from guild Jedi High Council on the Harbinger server The hardest part of this fight is communication and making good decisions about which squares to delete. I have added a map with a very decent plan of group movement. This fight can be accomplished multiple ways. The map shows our waltz through the fight. Please see map at the end of the post. Helpful Hints: 1. Tank swap on SIMPLIFICATION. Taunt AFTER the main tank gets the red circle. The boss must be turned away from the all raid members as he does a massive frontal cleave. On the provided map I have shown how we position the boss and the tanks. The blue circles are the tanks and they are labeled T1 and T2. Have the tanks position in the corner of the squares. If the main tank gets INFERNO then they simple move to the other corner, drop the INFERNO and then move back to the original corner. This prevents the boss from ever facing any raid members. 2. Systematically moving all the raid members is key to this fight. Each SIMPLIFICATION has 3 red circles which mean that 3 squares must be deleted. Also, the SIMPLIFICATION is random on two raid members other than the main tank. Main tank will always get the first one. If you look at the map then you can see how we intend for the melee (red circles) and the ranged/healers (green circles) should move throughout the fight. The map shows approximately how 9 SIMPLIFICATIONS will progress. Since the SIMPLIFICATIONS are random, raid members will have to make the best decision for the entire raid on the fly. Again, you can position and delete squares as you see fit, but this has been our team's plan over the past couple of weeks. Remember, the key is to have a detailed plan. 3. INFERNO will target 4 members ramdomly including the tanks. Whenever INFERNO is called out, everyone should look at their debuff bar. If you have INFERNO then immediately move away from all raid members and place the fire circle. Dps need to fight the urge to squeeze out more dps before moving away from the raid members. Just accept the fact that you have INFERNO, move away to a safe location and wait for the debuff to drop off you. Yes, this may mean that your dps numbers will be lower, but it also means that you will finish this fight and get the relic. If the main tank gets the INFERNO then please see hint one. The off tank is considered melee for all intended purposes during this fight, which includes the proper positioning of SIMPLIFICATION. Happy Hunting! 10. What server are you on? I craft Advanced Might Armoring 27 on The Harbinger. If you are on that server than I would love to help supply you. My main level 50's on the server are: Rontu, Rontoo, or Beelow. I craft for free (no tip). I work for free but keep any extras that crit and sell on the GTN. If any do crit I offer the person that I am crafting for first chance to purchase at a discount. As for trusting people with your mats - you will need to find someone you trust or find someone that has premades. I have never had a problem with other crafters that I have worked with in the past. But you must accept the risk on the trade. I currently have premades of the wrmoring that you are looking for, so if you are on The Harbinger then pst me for a trade.
  11. Please stop putting large, extravagant shoulder pieces on everything. All the end game pieces have these huge pads, armor, etc. on the shoulders. I feel like if I flap my arms fast enough I might fly away. Then there is the extreme – no shoulder at all on the consular BH/Campaign chest. No offense to any of the ladies, but a lot of the gear seems very feminine. Maybe make end game gear gender specific. You could have the same chest piece but it equips differently for males and females. Would also like to see “meaner” or “darker” gear on the republic side. Not everyone on the republic side is light side aligned. Our gear seems toyish or comical compared to the imperial faction.

Here you will find some of the best Healers, Tanks, and DPS players in SWTOR.
  13. Oofalong You numbers are incorrect. Probability resets for each roll. This is why casinos are so profitable. Your group makeup consisted of Warriors and Inquisitors, thus each drop would contain loot for either a Warrior or Inquisitor. Therefore, each drop has a 50% chance to be for a Warrior or Inquisitor. The probability on the next drop does not depend or change the probability in favor of one or the other. The probability is still 50%. Think of flipping a coin – the coin could land on heads 10 times in a row. What is the probability that the coin will be heads on the eleventh flip? 50%. The system is completely random and your Warriors simply had bad luck that night.
