  1. My Operative won't end up on The Fatman (re-rolled there with some friends a while back who have quit). So I am going to pay to transfer him in the future to The Fatman. I am not complaining. Like people said, if we start moving everyone around while they are doing this, it will mess up their population numbers.
  2. This is really bad news. I was one of the people that re-rolled on Fatman assuming that my PVP server would transfer there.

Thanks for nothing again. Why do I even continue playing this game? After this, I may not I guess.

You still re-rolled there. You have a character(s). You assumed and was wrong. Don't ever assume anything.

  3. Two... sadly the one still in my signature was one of them... and now I consider not continuing my sub. The other name I had to change had a funny surprise for me, I got the name on the new server which I couldn't get on my old server for that character... but that was anyway just an alt.

Lana is a pretty common name.

  4. I'm down three, that I care about ;(.

Now to spend an hour on each trying to think of better ones, and a legacy to match.

Edit: For the record, I'm not bitter or in any way blaming Bioware. Just a little sad, which is outweighed by the fact I'll (hopefully) have a decent WZ pop rate at any time of the day.

Edit 2: Get off your high horses about original names. You know the real reason your name wasn't taken? It's either because a), you're lucky, or b) the name is terrible.

No matter how original you think your name is, if its pronouncable, someone else has used it at some point throughout history.

Not mine, haha. Well, someone on a RP server in WoW did. I used this name in EQ as a throw away Ogre SK because I was using him to loot shields and swords while me and friends waited for Lower Guk / Sol B spot to open up. But I use this, Koreth and Pwyll. Pwyll is from a book, not original. Koreth is my Half Elf Ranger from D&D and I notice that it is popular as hell in WoW now, like ***.

  5. right. when you die, check your chat (text or voice), check your map, select the appropriate speeder. Far left speeder goes left, far right goes right (i.e. same perspective as when you land at middle).

Of course you only get a speeder to a side node if your team already holds it.

Or to suicide to prevent the enemy from taking it :/

  6. 1. Huttball

    2. Novare Coast

    3. Voidstar

    4. Alderaan

Side note, reason I dislike Alderaan is because the map highly favors defenders because of the side speeders. If everyone had to go to the center and run, it would make taking sides more easier rather than having to be slowly killed and having to run back from the center while the defenders can all just go there. And if you say take the other side, if you own it doesn't matter.

  7. Which of course is what's ridiculous. Some players will be forced to pay because their particular transfer did not create a viable server population.

I am pretty sure they'll fill the servers. They will try to even out the population by putting more and more low pop servers onto one server. Calm down.

  8. Tired of hearing this crap. If I give up half my tanking gear for dps than I expect to be able to put out a reasonable amount. SWTORs definition of a Tank in PvP isn't the same as other games and I like that. You're basically a DPS with survivability and support abilities because defense stats are handicapped in PvP.

I mean, my 31 point talent in my tanking tree is a DPS ability.

If it's a DPS ability, why is it lower than the 31 point Tactics and Assault ability. It's a filler attack that gives back Heat / Ammo.

I can't tank solo cap another point or sit there and tank myself through trying to kill a healer. I need to be able to do DPS in order to actually contribute to my team. If you can't break stalemates than you aren't contributing. That is why wearing full tank gear is counter productive because it's only useful for mitigating damage. I mean, do you think a Tank with 15% crit chance, no surge, and high defense stats is going to win a DPS race?

I play the support role very well when it's needed. I have a lot of tools at my disposal and I use them all the time. I've done 300k protection before. Also, the non-tank specs have the exact same defensive cooldowns and support abilities as me.

I'm not asking to do the same damage as a Marauder, Sage, or Pyro Pyrotech. I'm asking to be able to do decent to good damage, not freaking terrible DPS because I'm a "tank" when the game doesn't allow you to be a "tank" in PvP.

I mean, guard bypasses your defense stats as well. So what's the point? Nobody ever attacks me. Most of the time the enemy team completely ignores me unless I'm out in the open or the last at a point. They'll tunnel vision smash their face on the healer I'm guarding and won't even turn around to attack me.

For the bolded parts. If non tank classes have the same defense cool downs as you, you can still use Ion Cell and guard people, even if you are Tactics or Assault. If you are using half tank gear, you aren't getting much use out of Defense or Shield Absorption since it will probably be under 10% and 28% respectively.

Also on your note about tunnel vision of other players. That's their problem and you are on a bad server. These changes are made for good servers.

  9. In the 10-49 Bracket, my Gunslinger pretty much melts face. My VG gets focused all the time, die within seconds. I guess they don't know I am not Biochem so they go for me anyways.

Story wise, Operative was the best all 3 chapters.

  10. Nerfing every tank in pvp is going to be tough ... we know they will be buffing threat and tanking in pve, yet nerfing tanks in pvp.

I'm guessing this is going to blow up in their faces.

I don't understand. How will it blow up in their faces? Like the Scoundrel / Op nerf? The healer nerf? It'll be fine. Their damage output might go down, but they can still be the tank in PvP and get some AoE out of it.

  11. It really is not a problem. Im stating that my main does not use biochem stims or medpacks during pvp and I **NEVER** view myself at a disadvantage because of it. It really is not that big of a deal, just another reason for some players to whine about after losing to someone in something.

Good players will still be good, bad players will still be bad and whining will shift to something else. btw how is biochem such an advantage over other crew skills ie: armormech or synthweaving... Those players have fully augmented gear (bm/wh), yet I dont see people whining about how OP that is...

    Biochem is/was not the problem.

You're right, it isn't. It's only a problem when you stack them with relics. In 1.3, they are nerfing BOTH of them.

  12. Every new game that comes out with a PVP feature (MMO, FPS, RTS, whatever) is "the most hacked game out there to date" according to player complaints.

That's an easy one. Call of Duty, lol. At least with MW3, people were hacking Day 1 since the hacks from MW2 worked in MW3. They never learn.

  13. Everyone complains about marauders... why? They are squishy as hell - and their dps frankly, while high, is not beyond the reach of the other classes. This whole issue is overblown imo - and no, I don't play Marauders - not my cup of tea.

It's because they have the most ways to deflect / absorb damage and escape, choke, and root you and maybe knock back or is that Jugg, while maintaining good consistent damage.

  14. Oh but I have been on many of the receiving ends of this....Its called burst for a reason....thats the whole point.....People are missing the point here. You arent supposed to survive burst its called that for a reason....you can only do it every what..3 minutes...and you cant stack relics you can only use 1 then the other 20 seconds later...but not at the same time....

Like I said this should be a stat change not an item mechanic change. If anything I think we can all agree on is that burst is too bursty....tone down the amount that the adrenal and relic provides....for example on the battlemaster power relic..instead of increasing power by 380 tone it down to say 300....make changes like that..

The whole point of this thread is to revert back to on use not the passive or on hit with the new ones they are going to provide......nerf the amount that the relics and adrenals increase the stat.

Well, from the notes, they kind of are. The power won't be on use, it will be a fixed stat albeit lower.
