  1. Operatives 3 shot everyone because they only start on targets with less than half health that are engaged in battle with other players. Class was designed (horrible idea btw) around group pvp, then players complain that operatives kill people to fast in 1v1. Funny that when the same complaints are targeted at other classes (to good defense ability, damage) the SAME players come and yell : hey this game isn't about 1v1. Class was designed with strengths and weaknesses, then they took all its strengths away, and you are left with what? play a healer or reroll/quit . Atm, there is absolutely no reason to play an operative, other classes perform any roll an operative can play much better. dmage? play any other damage class(maybe not sorcs, poor sorcs), i recommend a marauder/assassin stealth and damage? play an assassin/shadow. Heal? play a merc.
  2. JK Bioware is listening to the community 1010101. Problem is their only concern is how many players whine about what and change that, being right or not is irrelevant. You can be the most overpowered class in the game by a mile, nothing will change if not enough people complain. Or you can be at the bottom of the pvp totem and yet receive nerf after nerf... because people do not like the class. Their concern is not about balancing the game, but its about appeasing the masses, which lets be honest are very bad when it comes to pvp.
  3. The only thing they are good for is to jump on someone that is about half health with no stun breaker and is already engaged in fighting someone else and they get nerfed lmao. Thing is, when those ppl die, all they can think of is "damn those pesky operatives" /spit. Not only that i am the only operative(scoundrel) that i ever see in wz (not healer), i do get about a dozen /spit on me each game, just because of what i said above. That being said, i will probably continue to be the only operative in the game(lol), ( im surprised they didnt just remove the class entirely) , but please ... DO NOT TAKE AWAY MY GIGGLE 10101. p.s. the game revolves around warrior/guardian (both AC), and other classes better learn their place as support classes mmmk?
  4. Did you miss revification? the 31 point heal talent? They were not that good, i give you that. however neither was the sentinel. Backpedaler tunneler much ? who doesn't even interrupt. I say he was on even terms regarding skill with his opponents. Things would pretty much stay the same if you raise the skill bar on both sides.
  5. You mean ideas like what is this interrupt thingamajig ppl keep talking about and where can i find it? Why did they give marauders interrupt ability anyway, they obviously don't need it. Here i can help you. Use your 6 second (lol) interupt on their heal, when they cast again, use force leap, when they cast again whoa ure interrupt is off cd so use it, then use force choke, then interrupt then leap. It's pretty basic but you can adapt it according to your situation. This will make your "2" hour fights vs healer into 30 second ones. Enjoy.
  6. First clip . wait wait. So you can kill a HEAVY armored class (merc) trough a free casting 31 spec SORC healer heals and then kill the healer, where they are both geared. And you don't even bother to interrupt once. Hey BIOWARE this class obviously needed a buff. Looking forward to see the top 10 teams @ rated wz, made entirely of marauders/sentinels backpedaling (like you) their way to victory.

    "Rated" will not actually mean anything. Normal wz's will die and be replaced by "rated" where the only difference is that u can queue as full 8man group, which if its a separate queue than solo q rated will mean we are all looking at 2-3hour queues or no queue at all at different times of the day. Very few ppl will actually bother to find and succeed in getting a group of at least 8 players to form a team and queue on a regular basis. Even in WoW, the most successful form of rated pvp was 2v2/3v3. 5v5 bracket was severely underpopulated. Rated BG's are a big fail and even lower in popularity. So, pls give us arena (no i do not want any special gear for it), nerfs that kill class x and y are gonna keep rolling regardless if it exists or not (see patch 1.2). p.s. PLS for the love of GOD, stop nerfing my class ( Operative). If u make a class around burst (which is a horible idea, since ppl don't like to get killed), then take it away all your left with is a big pile of ***. p.s.s. At least if we had arena you wouldn't see crap like buffing the most (arguably) op class in the game, marauders, and leaving the other contender for #1 opness (assassins) untouched while nerfing everything else.
  8. 2 tanks, Pref both shadows ... 1 to carry the ball other to guard the tank carying the ball. Force speed /force shroud, and graple. makes them perfect in offense and defense. 3 Healers, pref all mercs, since they are best single target healer, do not need guard to solo tank 2 dps if needed, and their knockback not only is instant but is allot more powerful than sorcs. 3 ops, all concealments, played in sync to 1shot ppl. (only way to kill healers vs multi healers team, guard included). (if you want permanent middle control, you might want to switch the 3 ops to 3 snipers) This setup works well even for alderan, 1 tank/healer on turret def, rest roam, so many stealth capable classes offer a huge advantage since u never know how many are defending until u are actually there. Voidstar?, any setup with 3 or more healers , 1-2 tanks would do.
  9. To all the qqers on the forum. Just stop. Breakdown of qq trends : 1 :To much cc, stuns, slows, root etc. "my marauder" cant x,y... (i chose marauder since its the class with least cc). Well, while you don't like being kited, (lol,bad marauder) have you considered other classes may not enjoy you mauling them to death? These qqers, are about nerf everyones else tools but leave mine alone. The game is balanced with them in mind, the more damage/heal/armor u have the less of other tools. Ye old: nerf rock , paper is fine /signed scissors. 2: Class x, is op. This stems partly from the above, and partly from gear disparity... and ppl waning to 1vX. Example: but 4 sorcs can x and y, what am i supposed to do against that? answer: bring friends, you are not supposed to 1v4. 3: No arenas, no rated wz with gear specific to them, because ppl who get said gear will roflstomp in solo q wz. We want everyone to have equal gear, and said people shouldn't be allowed to wear that gear in solo q wz, (world pvp? lol) First, said thing only a FPS can achieve. Second: what about ppl who do pve and mix their pvp gear with rakata "currently" don't they have an advantage over full pvp gear? Thing is, this game provides(or will), various ways to aquire gear, be it solo pve, group pve, solo q warzone, rated warzones (hopefully one day arenas). Why shouldn't players be allowed to use the gear they got wherever they wish? You are basically saying, "i only play solo q WZ, please nerf everyone who does more than that to MY level, nerf pve gear, nerf rated WZ gear, nerf people playing with friends... etc." Here is an exaggeration of what you are demanding sounds: Hi, my name is Bob, i only have time to play 1h per day, and i do not think it is fair other people progress faster than me, please make maximum play time allowed 1h per day. Also i do not have any friends, so please do not allow players who pve, do rated wz to come with their supperior gear in world pvp,normal warzones, and remove the posibility to queue with friends. thanks (nerf everyone to the same level as me). 4. I am never to blame, my gameplay is perfect... if something kills me, it is op and deserves to be nerfed. Srsly? TLDR: Stop being bad and stop making unreasonable requests.
  10. First of all, one of my classes is an operative. They are amazing in pvp. That being said, they are more technical and require more skill to play to its full potential. Unlike my sorc, where u literaly can't tell the difference between a mouthbreather and someone who knows what they are doing if they both play hybrid sith spec. (which also is roughly playing the class at 50% of its potential) That being said, they are gimped in lower level pvp, because most of their core abilities are higher level. I have abandoned my sorc (deep madness) in light of the upcoming changes forcing every1 to go heal or hybrid... and going to play my operative as a main. p.s. i do not care about pve. My pov is regarding pvp only.
  11. My alt is an operative, while i use the word "alt" she is lvl 50. Operatives are exceptional in pvp. /thread
  12. Refusing to play my one of my chars (main char) at 50% efficiency just for scoreboard padding, hybrid sorc, that heavily relies on meatshields, me and other good pvpers played deep madness. The spec is best in 1v1 and small scale pvp, relied heavily on mobility and line of sight and while not that force efficient, it was good in defense and vs heavy armor targets. Now,if this goes trough, it is the least useful class in defending objectives. Bio is forcing all sorcs/sages to go heal OR hybrid piece of sith, zerg dependent scoreboard padder. I refuse to play hybrid sorc spec, where due to the nature of the spec u can not see a difference between someone mentally disabled playing it and someone who knows what they are doing. So i guess that is it for my main... I see Bioware is determined into following Blizzard's footsteps in dumbing down pvp untill they lose all its pvp player base.
  13. All players in those videos range between godawful to average at best in skill. :| They are probably good @ pve, idk ... but pvp isn't their thing.

    Fixing Resolve

    TLDR: resolve is working as intended L2P 1.Snares roots do not affect nor are affected by resolve,which is good, you should not be completely unstoppable under any circumstance. (hello paladin bubble for everyone, short of damage immunity). 2.It takes 2 consecutive stuns to fill your resolve bar, the stun that filled it does not nor should break instantly. Keep your cc breaker for the second stun=win. 3. CC break cooldown is adequate.However i do not actually like that some classes to be able to lower its cd from 120 to 90 seconds (wow had same trinket cooldown for all classes). You need to learn how to use its cooldown just like any other ability in your arsenal, It is unreasonable to expect to have all abilities ready for every fight in warzones, illum etc. If you wish for that i suggest you duel. 4. I have NEVER been stuned/mezz with white resolve bar, people who complain about this are talking about roots, or should provide adequate video to show a possible bug. (remember the stun/mezz that filled your resolve bar will not break) 5. people complaining about stun duration and stunlock to death, are refering to being focused fired by multiple opponents in the stun duration and/or are undergeared. ( you should NOT expect to survive focus fire by 3+ players while stunned) I have a BM juggernaut, BM dps sorc and a BM sniper. Resolve is working as intended, trust me. My hybrid jugg is already unpealable by "any" class, i have free AOE slow, backhand stun, non-channeled force choke,AOE mezz=intimidating roar, force push(free hazard kills) And immunity for 4 seconds after force leap. add interced to that and its the most mobile class in the game, including most cc abilities on 1 class (my sorc cc(electrocute and wirlwind) is nothing compared to my jugg cc ability.) My dps sorc, relies on kiting, which is next to impossible vs players that know how to play... i am not a healer to be able to tank 2 dps on me (this is true on all healers) My sniper has ridiculous damage and survivability cds (for the damage output). I have valor leveled them trough warzone, illum is a joke and aside daily/weekely i dont even set foot there. After reading this thread, what the people who complain want is even more ridiculous easy ways for melee to stay in range, when capable melee players are already unpeelable. My advice to you is to gear up and learn to play. It is more reasonable that everyone learns to play their class to its potential, than modifying the game to match each individual player subscribed skill level. p.s. most players also do not understand what cc is. Crowd control is an ability that COMPLETELY removes all control of your character, or alters its location. Some do not break on damage=stuns, some break on damage="mezz" as you ppl call them... the other are knockbacks,pulls,pushes. CC is NOT an ability that partially removes control of your character (slow, root, interrupts.) TLDR: resolve is working as intended L2P
