  1. I'm not sure if this is entirely correct but if you take cover behind anything that could be cover it works the same as pre-determined cover. I noticed that if I crouched behind a sizable object that it'd block shots for me.
  2. I've been decloaked out of evasion > cloaking screen almost immediately multiple times. No clue what's causing it.
  3. Nope. Just tolerating the trolls and waiting for the day we can actually discuss the game in general discussion.
  4. I currently like the game although it feels more like a co-op RPG than a MMORPG. It's not a terrible thing personally since I play with a friend and we do all the quests together, it's not until he logs off that I notice how secluded we are. What could Bioware do to keep the great story-telling aspects and set-pieces while making the world feel more alive and dynamic? About the only thing I liked about Rift was the rifts themselves. I think SWTOR could do with making some zone-wide story event happen every now and then. Like maybe Dromund Kaas gets overrun with rampant beasts. I didn't see this addressed in the coming up video and was wondering if Bioware had anything planned. I know this is their first MMO so I'm willing to give them some slack as they adjust to this new beast. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to make it feel more like a MMO?
  5. I agree. I hope they add more things that make it feel more MMO-ish.
  6. Well, the amount of hate on the forums is really disproportionate to how bad SWTOR is to the point that it seems more likely people are paying $15 to troll the forums.
  7. Did anyone here even play FFXIV? I think people need to chill out with the whole game is failing thing. There is more hate here than there was on the FFXIV forums and that game was so bad that they stopped billing people, fired almost the whole team that worked on it, and are rebuilding it from the ground up with a new engine. Do you know what end-game FFXIV had? World bosses, and only a few of them. Official forums did not come out until months after release. The story in FFXIV ended around level 30 (max level is 50) and didn't even wrap up. You had a path companion that you, thankfully, only saw in a few story missions. The AI was horrible. Mounts wern't added until about 1 year after launch. Walking was the only means of traversing zones. Try walking to your quests on Alderaan without using taxis, speeders, or even sprint. Crafting and gathering was so grindy and boring that people were labeled masochists for having even one of them at level 50. They finally added dungeons around 6 months after launch. Two of them. One of them for mid levels the other for max characters. The boss in the end-game one being bugged for a month. Holiday events were horrible. Near the end of the last year they released a pamphlet detailing the future of FFXIV 2.0 and promised things were getting better. Based on a few pictures and promises, they reinstated billing even though FFXIV 2.0 wouldn't be implemented until 2013. That's right, over a year of painfully slow updates and fixes to a horrible game and they feel they can bill people just because they released a road-map full of promises that people won't even know will be fulfilled until 2013. You think the first content patch coming out days before the free month is over is bad on SWTOR? Try not releasing the revamped classes and job system that they've been promising for months and months until after they reinstate payment. I could go on, but you get the picture. SWTOR is doing well enough, the road may be bumpy but it's far off from being a failure. Now let's take a moment and thank FFXIV for letting us know the true meaning of fail.
  8. I'm curious as to why they implemented this round-a-bout system of upgrading gear you like the appearance of over having a second equipment tab that is displayed over your actual "equipped" gear.
  9. That's because APB is the most rage inducing game ever made. Spend 4 minutes 50 seconds defending something and die once = lose that stage. Wipe the enemy team for 5 stages and then lose the final one because the enemies you just killed spawned 50m from the objective they have to raid, get the drop-off item and are already driving away while your team is still trying to get to a car since the road next to their previous objective is suddenly barren. Oh, and the drop-off takes one second.
  10. Same in this game, I decide who my enemies are. If your friend joins the other team on a FPS do you suddenly hate them and wish nothing to do with them? There is exactly no reason to have cross-faction chat disabled.
  11. I had to reroll from Ice breaker, as of right now there are only 5 level 50s on. On my new server, there are 37. The only way to get a group would be to wait for the 2 hour peak-time window. Useless numbers aside, losing fickle people isn't a big loss. They'd probably quit over something minor in a patch anyway if they're going to quit because Bioware does the logical thing of merging US east servers since there is a ridiculous amount of them. Check it http://humdi.net/swtor/?zone=us Way too many US east servers, which is usual since they needed enough for the initial rush but the population is settling down now that it's not holiday break and people have decided to not stay with the game.
  12. Hey Bioware, is it possible that you could merge some of the lighter US East servers together? There's just way too many and am currently stuck on a server that is hard to find groups on unless you're on during the 1-2 hour peak time. I appreciate you having the foresight to have enough servers for the initial rush but I think you went overboard when it came to US East!
  13. Seems like Europe has less servers and isn't Europe bigger than just the US East coast?
