  1. Or perhaps as empty legacy bound shells as drops from running NiM TFB - DP... much like Karagga's hat etc.
  2. Only reason for the backflip on this was the drop in subs after their initial NiM post; everything else is just the usual BS.
  3. Then feel fortunate it was just gear, I would have stripped your entire account. Whoever BW have on this is either too soft, or lazy.
  4. Please, tell me how someone could have possibly accidently performed the actions required for the exploit.
  5. I know Bioware loves to be "unprecedented" about how they do things, but all I'm seeing from the way they have handled action is that they have set a precedent: "Exploit whenever you can, as hard as you can and the most you will see is a one week ban" Completely regardless of prior "warnings" from other exploits; if reddit testimonials are to be believed. I'm not encouraging people to exploit, I was (and continue to be) all for perma-bans for even the smallest violations of this particular exploit. But if we've learnt anything from the way Bioware has handled the these issues in the past and present, they are happy to encourage it; or at least not serious about discouraging it.
  6. For myself it's a combination of 4, 5, and 6. Mostly 4 though.
  7. Anything less than a permanent ban for ALL accounts involved is unacceptable and another slap-in-the-face to whatever playerbase you have left.
  8. Surprised to see so few people talking about this problem. I'm also having issues with the armor assembly components. Specifically red text "No reverse engineering information available for item 'Farium Armor Assembly Component'." and no mats returned. I've tested this with all other crew skills RE-ing one component at a time (sorry not gullible enough to burn through 50 when there's a chance they'll be completely wasted) They all worked fine, with the exception of Artifice which only returned the crafting mats but no Augmentation slot component.
  9. I'm not sure I quite understand the purpose of this thread. I'd almost go as far as to say you're confusing elitism with smwarriorism. A true elitist would be happy to teach someone with zero experience in the operation; at least they wouldn't pick up any of the bad habits with have been swamping the game from the carry-mode overgearing/overleveling of the last couple of years. tl;dr your elitist is just a bad with a big head.
  10. It's fine just the way it is. It isn't a necessity to get 4X, and variety is a good thing. And if you feel you need him for the sake of being a completionist, then you're a completionist and you would already be doing PVP anyway... And I'd urge everyone here who does PVP and finds people afk-ing during matches, bragging about only doing so to complete the companion requirement to report them and let CS sort them out.
  11. Only issue I'm seeing with it is that the planetary levels (for syncing) are probably a little too high. Not a lot, I feel if it were syncing us 1 or 2 levels lower the combat and challenge level might feel about right.
  12. Going to refer you to the TEDE sales team for this. You didn't mention a faction or a time zone, but I'm sure they'll be able to help you anyway. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=832937
  13. Interesting to see such a strong representation of APAC guilds/teams.
  14. So the gist I'm getting from this thread is that you want older NiM content to get mechanically nerfed to the point where it can be facerolled (more than it already is) only because you're overleveled/geared? At this point the only difference between story and nightmare is the mechanical execution. If there's no penalty for failing them, why bother having them at all? tl;dr I want wings cuz I'm so hardcore that I shouldn't have to worry about execution or awareness in old content.
  15. Wouldn't be able to summon companion in the phase, so there's a start to your plan... you would need at least one other person to convert to an ops group anyway. Not sure how I'd feel about having aggro on both the adds and the boss at the same time. I could see it easily 4manned (or less) by a capable group, doubtful you could solo it though.
  16. Wandering/Roaming mend also have a lovely habit of killing tanks.
  17. Does wonders for gathering casts, that's probably the only real benefit to it.
  18. Hi everyone, We are still in need of capable dps for our second team. We raid Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm AEST (UTC +10) We're looking for players who can learn quickly and work with the team. Current raid experience is preferable though we're also interested in previous progression for returning players. /who elitists and ask for Ameel for more info, or visit http://tede.enjin.com/home to apply.
  19. Getting back on topic, the fight has already been nerfed; which to no surprise hasn't helped to make it any easier for most groups that were struggling with it. I'd argue that to make it killable for these groups it would require a 30% nerf to both the HP of both the Lurker's and the adds, reduce damage from the boss and the adds, removing all cross / rage storm damage, and ensuring that eating a collapse rock would never drop someone below 50%. After this the community at large would refer to him as the Undernerfer and there would still be groups that can't clear it. So let's take a good look at what's actually happening and why groups are failing at it. Positioning on the cross. aka OMG lag is killing me! Firstly, if you're having fps issues, my advice is to stop running the game on a toaster. If you aren't, consider turning off/down some graphical settings; shadows/AA can offer a great trade-off between noticeable performance without killing the visual fidelity too much. If network latency is your issue, suck it up. Many APAC players are running between 250 to 300 ms and clearing content just fine. Random network spikes occur, but they're hardly as prevalent as being suggested, and most of the deaths to lag are people blaming something arbitrary for their own shortcomings. Adds have too much HP. This is pretty much where the bulk of the issue lies. The issue isn't that people are having trouble hitting the 2.5k req (for 4 dps) it's that they're struggling to get close to 2k at all. And it can become very difficult to carry, especially with the increased damage going out when dps do fail. As JouerTue mentioned earlier in the thread. TL;DR the skill of the broader playerbase has dropped so much, and I agree the prolonged and rampant facerolling of DF/DP sm in gear 4 tiers higher than what was required was a major contributor to this. Kuat also to some extent. What are our options moving forward? 1. Upskill the masses in some kind of a massive game-wide L2P session 2. Live with it, and know that in future we can expect to see tactical operations and player skill decline even further. 3. Push BW for the addition of something resembling proving grounds. 4. Leave
  20. You do know you're able to queue for specific flashpoints, right?
  21. We have this wonderful thing called Epic Story XP.... You want to change your Sentinel into Guardian (as an example) tough... Roll an alt, spend a day or two leveling a new toon and bam! You're done.
