  1. I agree, I went back to lotro, have a life time sub, they had two expansions since I last played I was able to buy them with my turbine points like it should be, something to do until Teso comes out. I wonder how many people unsub that never even come to forums.. I know about six people myself that never come to the forums don't care what goes on here, I know 3 of the six have unsubbed.. I jump on the f2p for the rift, they are always sending me codes for my housing zone I log in and add them, and check out what they gave me.. I was playing the rift while waiting on TOR..
  2. All depends on how much you rely on others peoples opnions to guide your decisions ? As I am sure you know eveyone gets a little something different from these games, different, play style, like and dislikes, no one can really tell you if it is worth you coming back, you will just have to try it and see../shrug
  3. Don't worry you will soon be able to buy a commendations limit increase from the cartel market, that is the next step. Everything they do for this game has some tie in to the cartel market at some point or it sure leaves me with that persecption anyway
  4. I don't care about the cathar one way or the other, more option are a good thing, what puzzles me is all the hype around the cathar, we are not getting any thing new, just a skin, and that is not new content, you will do the same thing with cathar as you do with any other class, out side of the looks nothing will change..expect for changing the liter box lol....
  5. Nothing to to worry about, it's just a game they come and go like everything in life does, even with all the down falls this game has it is not going anywhere, for a while, the population will have peaks and valley's like all games do these days, there is quite a large band of roving nomads out there that travel from game to game, rip through the content then move on to the the next field, maybe once Ea has established this game has long term profits they might spend a few dollars to give us a real expansion that really expands the game in a huge way, but time will tell what happens in the next few months I think will be the real future of this game..
  6. Jumping from game forums to game forums to game forums, since they seem to have more to do than most games these days
  7. +1 got a good chuckle thanks but very true
  8. I have been lucky, I had a static group of friends to run with we learned the encounters, and only if we were stuck, which did not happen in tor, would we look something up, part of playing a game for us is the fun of the learning curve, but times have changed back in the early eq days there were not guides no ventilo, it was fun times, back then, I would not want to return to those today, I am spoiled now with voice chat and easy play games they make these days, add in that the instant gaficiation crowd, seems like most people read guides and hints before they even try it, I think that is kinda sad to a point, takes a lot of the fun away in my book, but hey different strokes for different folks, and if that what others enjoy then rock on
  9. I would be pleased I go to play the eight stories , that's about it..
  10. That's the last I read also, don't think any shows are on the list, of course things could change..
  11. I was Star Wars fan before I became a gamer, since I was a fan when A New Hope released I like all kinds of scifi games, but none of them have the lure of the Force.. But I am afraid after May 3rd I will be taking a break, at this point the force is not enough to get me to hang around, will keep n eye on the game, to see what the future holds
  12. Don't think that's a word in thier vocabulary, the proper term is "Soon" which could mean 1 week to 2 years..LOL
  13. I think the Hero engine is the biggest downfall of tor, the game will never be much more than it is now, I am afraid, I stratch my head and my butt at the same time and wonder why a game with such a large budget would cheese on the game engine, I know it was money, but if I was the pwoers to be, me and the folks that made the hero engine would be going round and round..
  14. Nope, you will have pain relief in a couple of weeks, the way folks plow though content, and the little bit of content thats in the "expansion" this population explosion will go away about as fast as it appeared..
  15. I agree no need for new servers, there is not that much content in this "expansion" so you will see a decline pretty soon, in about a month if that long things will be back to normal ")
  16. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Big facts that a lot of people over look, the Bioware that Brought us great games like Baldur's Gate and Kotor, went away the day the Doctor's signed the company over to EA, and once again EA did what they do best, ruin a good company, and drag it's name through the mud.. /sigh and to the op I agee with about 90% of what you said, it is sad but true..
  17. It was about what I expected for 10 bucks not much, brought nothing new to the game for me, the f2p players are getting hosed at 20 bucks, but hey not my money, if folks enjoy it thats al that matters, for me it almost bored me to tears finished it on one toon no desire to do it on another, thats just my opinion for my personal game play, if you love the patch good for you.. /shrug
  18. did we forget the discount ended with 2.0, we were getting a discount for repairs because of the last mistake they made, they said it would end with 2.0, it was a while back I am not going to dig through months of posts for a link, but it is there.
  19. I agree, I did not expect much for 10 bucks, the f2p folks are getting hosed for 20 bucks, I do like the crisp look of the npc's the cut scenes seem to flow better, and how Makeb starts off on your ship being a little different for each class, thats where it ends for me. The planet feels small and cramped as we travel to those plateau's crowded with mobs, it brought nothing new to the game just more of the same, again it was only 10 bucks. Maybe we will get a real expansion next year or two that brings in several new planets maybe class quests, many new features of play, one that costs like 49 to 59 bucks, but I am not holding my breath here since it took them almost a year to get Makeb out.. /sigh
  20. for 90 days thought it sucked, and if wow does this it sucks even more now../shrug like I said games i played let me add to that games I have played through end game and raiding..
  21. I have played mmo's since 1997, I have never seen any of the mmo's I played, reset the core raids that launched with game or added later, to the level of a new expansion pack most of the time new level raids come with the expansion pack, what I have seen them do was update the core raids to a sliding scale, where they could still be done at level 50 and also at the new level. This is pretty dirty of them, really once again it shows how little they care about the community that plays this game, I think this is really a big deal, there are core players out there that may not want to buy the expansion pack and content should never be taken away it should always be added to for everyone. Just reeks of a very unethical move. Just because a compnay can do it in it's TOS or what ever does not make it the right thing to do for the good of the players../sigh I have the expansion but reading things like this just zaps my will to even play it.. /sigh
  22. Yes in these forums everything Ea does is a bad idea, if they gave away cartel packs to all that would be a bad idea, have a small expansion was a bad idea, having Tor in the first place was a bad idea, life on Earth was a bad idea,,,geez
