  1. Im afraid the problem is EXACTLY oposite general! If the forum QQ'rs & unsubs actually obtained the technical readings about super server earlier they might not have unsubed. Now they are gone and you have to chase them in all the far-away corners of the galaxy. They have sice founded hiden and remote outposts on planets like D3, GW2 and Tera and part of them is also heading towards unknown location of some "Secret World". Good luck chasing them now. You better get some realy good bounty hunters on board. See how lack of communication from high command can ruin even the mighty galactic empire?
  2. 1) inability to address low-pop server problem in anything resembling timely fashion 2) no server-wide chat channel only aggravating point 1. 3) no LFG tool only aggravating point 1. Most of us not lucky to end up on high-pop servers ended up with single player game (with monthly payments) - courtesy of fearful synergy of points 1. 2. and 3.
  3. Im afraid some ppl at bioware are actualy as vacant as you are, and that is why this game is coming crashing down. People did not "make poor choice" to be on low-pop server. The servers were all the same at the start, and there was random distribution of ppl who would find game is not to their liking and quit after first 1-2 months. What bioware should have prepared in advance are tools to address servers that will end up with low-pop after initial rush. Not only they were not prepared, they let the catastophic situation continue FOR FOUR MONTHS up to this day and beyond. Go ahead - blame it on "lazy" customers that refuse to level X lvl50 characters all over again. BW is now reaping rewards of exactly that kind of thinking. BTW yes - i have unsubbed under exactly same conditions as OP, and so did 9 of my friends during last month - I was the last.
  4. As for option "b", that is already possible, simply via /cjoin CHANELLNAME (the first person to join will create the channel) However, there is no way for you to propagate such channel among other players short of spamming Fleet, which is thankless job with uncertain outcome. In time ppl on server might get used to it and most will join such custom channel, but its a lottery. To be honest the global LFG channel should have been created by BW in first place. The fact that BW does not know this is one of the community killers and in my opinion responsible for good chunk of that 25% playerbase drop. no global LFG channel + no LFG tool = no multiplayer = one huge BW fail
  5. No. Armorings taken out of endgame items can only be inserted into items for the same slot, e.g.: boots->boots head->head etc..
  6. its power shot / tracer missile 15% crit buff, thou i think you only misstyped it considering usage of TM for arsenal its definitely not worth losing.. its more question for pyro i guess - there the power shot might not be used as often as arsenal uses TM
  7. Curious here - do you feel it was worth it to lose 4x bonus for 2 extra augments, or even better - did any testing on it? I would normaly avoid losing it since its on avg 8 extra heat every 15 sec, but didnt tested it.
  8. I wish i could help the situation in other way that point it out like all others before me did, open to suggestions here as to how. I would like the TOR to be long term success, if didnt i wouldnt bother to post
  9. Do i need to say more? Bioware every -xxxx- second you are losin more and more ppl to your inability to make server mergers or transfers happen. Month ago my server had 30ppl on main station in primetime, now its 10. I will not even speak about republic side because they are totaly dead. I know some servers are ok, but many are not at all, and if you think 100% of those ppl will happily reroll on different server and level all chars again.. no you realy cant think that. This is the point when you stop taking excuses from your tech staff about why its taking too long and start realy MOTIVATING them. Now or never.
  10. For level 28, I say this: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#300ZMIk0RRd.1 You're still missing some critical talents like tracer lock, riddle and barrage, but it would still be best build for fastest leveling. Pyro is viable as well, but low-hp mobs wont realy give your DoTs time to tick properly.. best advice i can give about handling problematic fights is: -turn off wounding blast and (for immune opponents) electro-stasis on Mako, she will actually start healing -dont forget about concussion missile -dont forget about electro dart -dont forget that jet boost and talented rocket punch interrupt casting on movable enemies (important fors pesky healer mobs)
  11. I think there is misunderstanding on your part of how Rail Shot works. It removes 5 statck of TARGET LOCK (which is your buff) and deals bigger damage for it. This buff only influences RS. It does NOT remove HEAT SIGNATURE (which is debuff on opponent) - and that is what influences extra damage of HSM, RS and armor debuff.
  12. You completely misunderstood. We are not talking about removing stun (knockdown) on weak enemies, we're talking about KNOCKBACK that occurs on the first hit of DfA that throws targets from AoE effective range.
  13. True, in its current state DfA's first hit will throw most of the targets away from damage radius, therefore completely negating damage from next ticks. Broken, needs to be fixed.
  14. you are not reading patch notes as a whole muzzle fluting will now reduce cast time of TM by .5 sec, so the cast time will stay the same as for the fake casting, it is method used in pvp where you a) cast different ability first so that enemy will incorectly interrupt it (i.e. first casting power shot which will get interrupted and then TM) b) casting the ability you want but intentionaly aborting it before cast finishes, making enemy waste his interrupt - this takes experience in timing and knowledge of usual behavior of other classes.. TBH im not really woried about Merc dps specs, its the healing that will take absolute dive with the heat managemen nerfs. Possibly making Merc unviable for harder Ops. (not to mention boring - more power shot spamm in rotation)
  15. Agree with OP I have read some comments that it is intended because it is more "realistic" to do damage/efect when the animation connects with target but this is evidently not true for all abilities - especially for mobs. example: try to use any CC on untagged mob that has instant cast stun/interrupt and it is the first thing they normaly use after entring combat. it goes like that: 1) you perform cast time of CC (lets say 1.5sec cast concussion missile) at the end of cast missile leaves the barrel of gun and goes for target 2) mob will not enter combat when missile hits him and he gets stunned, no he enters combat when your cast ends, which gives him time to use his instant-stun/interupt on you 3) mob gets stunned when animation finaly hits him - by this time you are stunned as well (because he responded to your attack before it actually hit him) So for some its supposed to be "realistic", for others.. not so much
