  1. Yep, this is a PVP spec that I do 400K - 600K in damage in almost every warzone that I run (in BM gear with one war hero item). I've never seen another Rage spec jug beat me (while playing objectives) in damage. I don't even have biochem and I do pretty pretty. I've tried the spec you posted and it feels weak in comparison. The point of unyielding is to use it to prevent from needing interceptor. When I used interceptor, I found it wasn't very useful and that it was redundant. Slows + stuns are more useful than you running faster for a short period of time, with an ability that rarely faces you the right way. Slow gives you the added benefit of Ravage. Stun gives you time to drop a smash bomb and keep them from doing an AOE knock back. From what you have stated, it sounds like you have not tried this spec in PVP. Improved Sunder doesn't compare to stagger. Stagger prevents you from missing with Smash. 1 miss loses too much damage. It also helps with healers to give you another interrupt. Unyielding allows you to use Enraged Defense, which is very important in 1v1 situations... it does allow you to live or keep your health over the 30% mark against marauders/juggs. WIth this spec, Ravage, Visious Throw, Force Scream, and Smash all hit for ~5K and you can bet you won't complain about knockbacks with stagger and unyielding.
  2. The problem I've seen with most people's Rage spec is that they do not play 100% into being Rage spec. Vicious Slash is worthless and should not have any points put into it. I would say in a full PVP session, I use VS maybe once... it's only when you have too much Rage and you're waiting on CDs (personally, this is when I throw out taunts / slows). It means you've gone through your rotation almost completely and need to use it as a filler. In this case, I usually burn my Enrage Defense to earn extra health. With Engraged Defense, Unleash, and Intercede, I can usually heal myself for 20K+ per warzone. I hit 40k in healing once. Here is my pvp spec, which I do very well worth. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101MZf0RZGrobdfRbfz.1 Do keep in mind, this spec is meant to be played into it's strengths and to have a decent healer playing with you. As a pug, I do well, but not when you're being focus fired.
  3. That's interesting that it doesn't happen to you. It does happen to me and other people I've seen play a warrior.
  4. I started off PVP as immortal spec and switch to DPS Rage spec. Keep that in mind with my reply. Expertise is your most important stat in PVP, period. Yes, living longer is great, but killing people is more important. Your job is to protect the healer / protect nodes / move huttball. With that in mind, you want to maximize your defensive stats and expertise does that. Expertise also increase the amount you receive in healing, which also keeps you alive. Expertise increases the damage you put into players as well. Think of expertise as 3 stats, not 1. It is the single most important stat in PVP, by far. If you had 0 expertise, even with full defensive stats, I will kill you in rage spec, extremely fast because force abilities ignore shields.
  5. I tank in Rage Spec with tanking gear in Soresu form. I clear HM flashpoints extremely quick and I've never been the cause of a wipe. The first time I did Black Talon HM in Rage spec form, I was like, WOW.... cleared that so FAST, holly S...t.
  6. I did not know chilling screem pops people out of stealth... Gonna try that later today.
  7. I've had this problem in PVP. You run up and force choke someone, they do an AOE knockback after your click force choke, force choke CD is spent, no shockwave build (or 1 - 2).... It seems, if you choke them, the knock back shouldn't work. If they knock you back, choke shouldn't work. I don't see a situation where the CD should be spent. Sorry, not playing PVE anymore since I'm 50. In any case, signed.
  8. Lol yes actually. I was thinking, I can't wait to deflect a fire of damage back at the enemy!
  9. I'm really inline with damage, even playing with assassins. I think you mean in tank spec?
  10. Yep - Soresu is not a good form for PVP IMO. And for buying time? I even disagree there. In some cases as rage spec with full cooldowns, I can 1v2 a healer and a person near them and keep the node. I even have moments where I've beat 1 v 2, then a 3rd. The best thing to stop someone from taking a node is to kill them. If a group of people attack you, you're dead, even with more damage mitigation. You might get 1 more second, maybe.
  11. agree it's awful. It's a waste of points. If you're spec'd right, you rarely, if ever, need to use that ability. In the case I have too much rage, my health is usually lower, I just pop my Enraged Defense and gain some health back while fighting.
  12. 1) Not sure about 1 cause I don't play immortal spec. 2) I've seen this sometimes as well. Our stun use to ignore resolve, now it doesn't. This might be the cause. Also, some specs are immune to stuns that cause resolve, this could create the illusion it's not working. 3) Had this happen, wasn't sure if it was a bug or not because I typically do not watch my resolve closely. I have taken 3+ stuns pretty close to each other, followed by one that keeps you from moving, followed by more stuns. It totally sucks. Stuns/Slows/roots cause us more problems than others because they prevent us from doing offense and defense, where roots just prevent defense for other classes.
  13. Extra shockwave being an offset? Not really sure what you mean, as you still have 12 seconds between smashes. It adds a 3rd rotation to your smash since Crush is now 18 seconds. Shii-Cho adds quite a bit of extra damage, living longer is important if you're being focused or have no healer... maybe a pug group, but killing people fast, especially with high powered AOE (vs tank/healer duos) is super important. Switching out of Shi-Cho form, I end up being 100K + less in damage... The defensive bonus is not worth the offensive bonus. I personally would only switch out of Shii-Cho form when you are in a situation where DPS is not important.
  14. Saborward should be 1.5 minutes and the marauders 99% cooldown should be 3.5 minutes. Though, I see this breaking PVE stuff (or making other classes jealous I would say).
  15. Expertise is really needed. On some people, I crit really really hard when they are under geared. I'm rage Spec atm (my own personal spec, not a copy of someone else), I use the Shii form (however it's spelt) and do extremely well. I'm almost always top damage or second to top, even when I'm 1v1'ing most people. My damage is almost always over 300K and always over 200k, playing objectively. I get ~10 - 30K in protection from taunts and 10 - 30k in self heals thanks to our new ability, intercede and unleash. I have a print screen of me doing 570k damage in a warzone and taking ~400k in damage (I'm Explic). Anchorman is a marauder, and Locs is a Jedi Marauder. This was post 1.2 patch (4/20/2012), no War Hero gear, only Battle master with several Champ pieces. http://imageshack.us/f/256/screenshot2012042023302.jpg/ I should also add my gear is un-modded and I do not use Biochem.
