    Recommended healer class for me?

    I have a sorcerer healer with full WH augmented geaer. I also have a merc healer, but she is just an alt.

    I do not have operative healer, but played one.

    This is my list:

    1. OP

    2. Merc

    3. Sorc

     

    Operative: think I do not have to say why but beside good mobility and healing, they have cool looking spells and gear. Agent story is really interesting. :)

     

    When it comes to Mercs, I DO like their animations. The sound of their abilities is amazingly cute. It also looks so much better than Sorcerer's. Not to lie, VERY first time I saw Sorc's animations I was disappointing but, since it was a first character, I decided not to quit because of boring, same-looking, purple animations hoping the next one won't be like the last one. EVERY damn spell is: her hand out, purple crap on her hand. Only I like is aoe heal, which I am not using. I AM failing to see how could Merc healer be worse than Sorc healer at all. Even if there is something: at the end of the day Merc's have heavy armor.

    I would really go for Merc over a Sorc, but only when it comes to PvP. Dead healers can't heal. Dead healers cannot protect nodes. Warzones number don't mean much, it is the green win or red lose at the end.

     

    Now, this is not a QQ, just MY OWN opinion and what I experienced and have seen. I did see people struggling to kill a Merc even in rated, but never a Sorc. :cool:

     

    How do you find merc heal aniations good? Its just a little green or red scan, the lvl 40 1 are cool tho. But sorc got far cooler animations! DPS mercs however got some nice animations.

    • commando/merc is the most challenging (in terms of churning out raw heal numbers). of the three classes, I would rank them last (last in mobility, last in throughput, second in survivability to the op)
    • sage/sorc is probably the most versatile but by far the most squishy (they rely more heavily on help from their team to stay alive)
    • scoundrel/operative is boss in pvp. lots of hots (very mobile). stealth is a bonus. imo, the hardest class to dps down. lacks some of the aoe ability of the sage/sorc but pretty well balanced.

     

    Thanks alot! I do like how many healing skills the sage got, which makes then hard to shut down.

     

    I guess my first question is answered now, so does boring heal animations make it less fun for you? and are merc really boring to heal as?

    Hello there! After having 1 tank, 1 DPS and 1 daily slave, i really want to level a healer. Problem is i always have a hard time deciding stuff. The 4 classes im looking at currently are Operative, Scoundrel, Sage or Mercenary.

     

    I hear the operative is the best one atm, but i do want to make a merc healer, since BH is the only buff i dont have yet, and most important, you get blizz! My problem with mercenary is that alot of people say it is boring to play a merc healer. I have tried a merc to lvl 20, and i have to say the heal animations are pretty dull and boring. Does it get better at higher levels? I have that same problem with scoundrel, since the animation pretty much suck, but does that make it less fun for you to play?

     

    I dont want an operative since i already have a sniper, but their animations are pretty cool. I really like the pull that sage got, also the huge area aoe that are pretty sweet for interupting plants, etc, but they are rather squishy. So i guess my main question here is, what healer class do you think is the best and/or fun? And does boring healing spells make it less fun for you?

    Have anyone else had alot of bugs today? I have gotten the chat bug 5 times where you have to use CTRL U+U, WASD bug once, and loading screen but twice today. I also got a new type of bug i havent seen today in a wz, the chat were bugged so i used CTRL+U+U, and the HUd went away and i expected it to get back as usual, but it didnt. I could use any skills or see any of the HUD...

    Commando assault spec better than VG assault spec?

    I have been thinking about this. Everywhere i see people say that VG assault spec are better than commando. But isnt commando slightly better since they can reset HiB from 30m? I know VG's HiB reset skills are instant, but i find it better to do it from a distance. I have a lvl 25 VG assault spec, and i always have to go close combat to spam those 2 skills. 1 thing commando also got are self heals, and a pretty good knockback. Only thing i would miss from my VG are the ability to tank and my belowed harpoon... So what are your opinions of this matter?

    You're doing it wrong.

     

    YOU CAN'T DPS HIM TOO FAST. Period. Until 1.3 when they fix the 4-rockets bug, you have to SLOW DOWN the dps on him, or the rockets will kill you.

     

    He fires rockets every 10% of health. So get him down to 81%, wait for the 15-s rocket cooldown to end, then get him to 71%, repeat, etc.

     

    Your healer should be able to heal through it if your tank can hold aggro. It's *not that hard* if you know the fight.

     

    If you try to faceroll him, YOU WILL LOSE. It's that simple.

     

    you dont necessarely have to lose... All the times i have done him we go all out from the beginning, he never fires 4 rocket at ones so if you got a functioning brain it shouldnt be hard at all to move to the place where the rocket isnt fireing...

    1. fps problems and graphics lag on most systems, even new ones.

    2. bugs in class quests and some that make it impossible to even log in ie: the 33% launcher bug

    3 dead servers... 20 people on or less during primetime.. right.. lets do 16m HM OPs ... LOLZ?

    4. denial from bioware that they screwed the pooch on 1.2 by not fixing fps and issues stated above.

     

     

    My old server the razor is dead.. usually less than 20 on prime time.. the ONLY time we have hit any kind of respectable pop was the day 1.2 hit.. 120 on fleet then... FOR ONE DAY.. when they saw the lag was still there and the content wasnt fixed.. they left and havent been back. 99% of the time there are less than 10 people on fleet and we still have YET to see a server xfer... so once again bioware screwed the pooch on this... GG bioware GG

     

    1. I have never had this issues. My system are 560Ti, i5, 8gb RAM, w7.

    2. Never encountered this either.

    3. Change server. I had a 45 on a dead server but why quit a game instead of rerolling? its not dooms day because you got to lvl a char to 50, i can understand if you got 3 or more 50s tho, but still...

     

    I hope people will open their eyes and not judge to soon :)

    i find it a whole lot easier to Guide players in game, What server are you going to play on? ill make a character there and guide you through the first levels, or if you just so happen to choose my server ill gladly help out with free gifts and creditz :D

    I really cant understand why so many people are unsubscribing... I mean this is a GREAT game, why are people leaving? There are many things that we are missing i know that, but that dont make this game bad? I enjoy the hell out of it, i can only play in weekends and i always look forward to getting home to play it. I really dont want so many people to leave, i really dont want this game to go under :( There are no other mmorpg out there that appeals to me, im tired of middle aged magic games, and i couldnt stand wow it was way to boring. Although i will be playing gw2 i also want to keep on playing swtor, so please dont judge this game so quickly, dont leave just because there is 1 or 2 things you hate...
