  1. I typed out an explaination of what I was thinking like 100 times before simplifying it: Lets say the armour rating is 50, would that be multiplied by the same number (i.e. 5.775 for Heavy) at level 11 as it would be at level 50?...Would the multiplication number scale with level? Does that make sense? I know stat effect multipliers have scaled with level in other games, I was wondering if armouring did the same. I think I got a little redundant there, so I'm sorry if I'm not communicating effectively. Feel free to face palm. ^^: Love and tombstones.
  2. Armour (22) is the Armour rating, it effects the amount of armour you get from that particular mod. The armour rating and stats aren't related to each other, but to the level of the mod you crafted. Did that answer your question? I also found an excellent Crew Skill FAQ on the Crew Skill forums. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=530
  3. What a pain! So in this scenario, 1 point of Armour Rating for Heavy Armour is equal to 5.775; so would the armour type multiplication number stay the same or would it vary with level? I understand that we have no formulas, yet, but that doesn't mean we can't theorize! Oh Bioware, the things your player base desires from you ... Love and Tombstones.
  4. He was asking for how the armour rating works on the armouring mods, how the modifiable armouring can be better than greens/blues/purples he picks up. Context: I'm a cybertech and when we were hunting datacron a piece of class specific orange armour (without mods) was dropped for him. I made him some armouring and mods to put in it then I was hit with a barrage of questions. I don't think this is his first MMO, he mentioned about playing WoW. I told him that the orange slotted armour is good because if you like how it looks you can keep it updated and relevant by upgrading the mods inside of it (I'm vain and love to wear pretty armour). He also was really confused by how crafting works, which felt like an impossible task ("It works, does it matter how?"). I hope that wasn't too disjointed. Love and tombstones~
  5. Played CWG last night for the first time on my 39 Defense Guardian with a 40 Sent, 39 Gunslinger (I think? Smuggler subclass, uses two blasters), and a 44 Sage. The first bit was a bit difficult, one of my group members kept bugging out and another one didn't quite get how it worked. We wiped about three times before we got it, struggled with the droids leading to the puzzle part before the DPS remembered they could CC (lol), had minimal difficulty on the puzzle part, then went finished without wiping again. OP, maybe you just need to run with people you know well or ones that have more than two brain cells to rub together? Love and tombstones
  6. One of my guild mates had a bunch of questions about modding the orange armour pieces that I simply couldn't answer, so I was searching the forums to see if I couldn't help point him in the right direction and I didn't find if anyone had made an Armour Modding FAQ. So, my quandry: has anyone made such a post? If not, what are some bits of information that you could give me about modding the orange pieces or about how crafting in the game works in general? Thanks! Love and Tombstones~
