  1. You don't get a 30 day pre paid card in the CE. The first 30 days of a subscription are included in the purchase of a product. If you created a new account though, you'd get 30 days. Maybe call them and ask if you can upgrade your account to the CE by combining both keys, and get 30 days game time.
  2. Just a typo. It's armormech and armstech.
  3. However it's done, this is the correct approach. Regardless of how difficult it is, you should at least be making some progress towards your goal.
  4. Part of the problem, when comparing different tiers and crafters, is the ease of leveling up. If it’s not that difficult to get to 50 then why even focus on crafting for lower tiers, and lower margins that result from this. I would agree with this except for alts that have money. They are more willing to spend extra for the luxury of access to upgrades. So is there a market, yes. Are people willing to give it a try, mostly no (some do). What are the reasons? Probably a variety, access to mats, GTN, and RE still plays a role. Recently, I’ve been leveling synthweaving, and have noticed that 1-25 learning blues from RE was pretty frequent. Now that I’m in the late 20’s it has definitely and noticeably slowed down. Just an observation. Reverse engineering needs addressed, in whatever fashion they choose. Waiting for late April (1.2) is hard to believe. Then again, I’ve been waiting for high quality textures too, but that doesn't have economic side affects.
  5. There are problems with the crafting system, I won't deny that. I just wanted to add though, that for those that are determined, you can still make money with it. With armormech, focused only on T6 (lvl 49/50) gear, I sell 10-15 pieces of armor each day, or around 700K credits worth. Minus costs, I still clear well over half. I'm sure there are crafters doing much more, but for 30 minutes worth of my time, it's worth it. The gear I craft, is better than tionese. If I crit, it's comparable to columi. For those casuals that are slow to do hard modes, there's definitely a market. I have no doubt that I could target more than a few level tiers (18, 25, 35, 43) and make a pretty penny selling armor. All regardless of the naysayers that believe nobody will buy armor. ~ Cheers
  6. I hope you meant Expert (+Power, +Surge). Commanders is (+Power, +Presence). Most don't like Presence.
  7. It doesn't matter much that the margin on it is less, it's just another piece of armor that I sell, another option for someone to choose from. I have 20 pieces of gear (lvl 49,50) that I craft and are available on the GTN. Some with high margins some with less. This doesn't mean I agree it's worthwhile to make (or attempt to get the schematic for) T2 purples. I did it for one, and after realize it doubles the mats required to craft it (8 mandalorian iron!) I won't do it again (RE to T2 purple). What they should do is keep the mats required to craft the same for T1 and T2. If they did that, more people would venture there. I cringe on making level 50 pieces, because of using 4 mandalorian iron, but they still sell so I continue to make them.
  8. Here ya go. This was an image comparing T2 purple nexus bracers to Rakata. http://i42.tinypic.com/15rz9fk.jpg From the image, Rakata with 28 Aim augment is: 113 Aim (85 Aim +28 Aim from Augment) 74 Endurance 37 Power
  9. While that may be true, I still sell quite a few Anti-Armor Nexus Bracers. Depending on market conditions and augment slot, I get anywhere from 110-140k for them.
  10. Here's an example. The original schematic is Nexus Bracers, purchased from the trainer. Nexus Bracers - blue schematic Redoubt Nexus Bracers - first upgrade (T1 purple) Anti-Armor Nexus Bracers - second upgrade (T2 purple) Bonus is the comparison to Rakata with augment. http://i42.tinypic.com/15rz9fk.jpg
  11. I did some crafting last night, and this morning. Around 50 green lvl 49 medium belt/bracers got me 4 blue schematics. This morning, around 25 blue lvl 49 medium belt/bracers got me two purple schematics. Presense and shield, blegh. I guess I'll do another round and hope for the best. At least it appears it's working, but likely still streaky.
  12. RE isn't broken, nor has it changed in any patch. The problem with RE is simply the streakiness of learning schematics combined with the offchance of learning something you already know. If it's a 5% chance to learn a new schematic, you have as much chance to go 0/50 as you do to proc on the first try. Welcome to random. I would guess they'll address the streakiness to soften the bad streaks: some way, some how.
  13. Easy fix is this. Instead of Warzone quests requiring wins, give the option of games played. 1 win OR 3 games 3 wins OR 5 games Everyone would have a reason to complete games.
